Great place to stop in for a solid Mexican meal. The salsa is served warm, not a fan of that, but the flavor was on point so I just added ice cubes. The chips are perfectly crispy. The best thing I had wasn't even my order, my dad gave me one of his asada tacos. Probably the best and most tender asada I've ever had. I would get that again every time, loved it. The rice and beans are all really good. I had the guiso plate, gravy was fantastic, meat was a teeny bit tough but I still liked it pretty well. The fried avocado was okay, the breading was a little bland. Basically, the chips and that asada would get me to come back. I don't live in San Angelo, but when I'm here, that's what I'm looking for now, that asada.

Combination plate 2 beef tacos and two cheese enchiladas!!

The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and a huge serving !! Will definitely be back when we come thru town !!

Great food and great staff. Fast service. Bernie is a way cool guy who runs the ship with his father and family. This place has lots of local history. Open since March 2017 and going strong yet. Full bar area as well. Said to have best margaritas in town. Nacho plates looked amazing we saw coming out. My fajitas had a killer good seasoning on them. Beans and rice also done just right. Will be back here again for sure. Great 4-7pm weekday happy hour going here as well.

Wow guys so today was a very sad day for me because my father passed away. I left my drs appointment not hungry at all. Didn't even plan to eat much. But I decided to stop by Jalapeños Locos. I ordered th tacos vaqueros and a Mexican Drink (I think that's what it's called). The tacos were a 10/10 very delicious and food was hot. The drink was also really good. Will definitely be coming back.

The service was very good, the food was not exactly the best we've ever had. Not the worst mexican food experience, but it was a one time visit.

Go see Franco and his crew. They are down right friendly and personable!! Food was pretty good for my first time there. I had the Franco's Special. Chicken breast smothered with cheese sauce, rice and beans. The chicken breast was just a little on the cool side. Had a good flavor, just a little cold. It still didn't stop me from devouring all of it. Chips and salsa were plentiful. Looking around the other tables, I can't wait to try some of the other stuff. The food looked pretty good. I'll definitely go back. Thank you Franco!!

The bar area is so festive and well cared for!

Amazing dinner! I had tacos and my husband had guiso. Best we've had in a while. Their salsa was amazing and chips were fresh. The place was full but it wasn't too loud. We will be back!!

Now I can see why that is. My wife and I came in on a Wednesday night about 530 for the first time. It was not super busy at all and we got seated fast. Orders were taken quickly as well. I got the famous original steak bites with a choice side salad. Wife got the daily special Guiso plate with refried beans and Mexican rice and homemade flour tortillas. The meal also came with a complementary plate of refried beans and red and green salsa (with a kick) and chips. It didn't take long for the plates to come out and my were the portions generous! My steak tips were fantastic. A perfect medium and very well seasoned! Melt in your mouth tender! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Guiso and the super tender diced beef in a rich brown gravy. Laura the GM was very kind to us and gave us a little background on the business with it being our first time there. 16 years in business! I see why that's so! I'm coming back again soon to try the same plate I got but 'El Paisano' style with added grilled onions, peppers, and tomatoes.

On Thursday's, Henry's has their Steak Specials running from 11 am until 5 pm, so Steak for lunch sounds like a winner for us. When we arrived, I wasn't really surprised that there are a lot of cars/trucks in the parking lot. Walked in, was greeted by the Hostess, and shown to a table in the Main Dining area. Right away, the Chips & Salsa Lady came by with their Red Salsa, Bean Dip topped with Gravy, and those Fresh Warm Chips for us to enjoy. Right after that, our Server, Monica, stopped by and took our drink order while we looked over the menu, mainly their Thursday Steak Specials. Those Chips and Salsa, which is on the Hot side, are delicious, but I tend to lean toward the Bean Dip topped with Gravy. That is some really good stuff. When Monica returned with our drinks, we placed our order. Joe is having the "KC Steak"; About 16 ounces of Hand Cut Sirloin, requested medium. Served with Baked Potato or French Fries, chose French Fries. Served with Frijoles Borracho's and a Salad. Nancy is having the same thing, but medium rare. I am going with the "Henry's New York Strip Steak"; About 14 ounces. Chose French Fries over the Baked Potato. Served with Frijoles Borracho's and a Salad. All Steaks are tenderized by the In-House-Butcher and seasoned accordingly. Traditional Kansas City-style Steaks are typically seasoned with a blend of Coarse Garlic Salt, Pepper, Coriander, and Chili Peppers. Henry's has other Steaks on their Thursday Specials; Besides the two kinds we ordered, they have "Spanish Steak"; About 14 ounces, with the same sides. The "Chicken Fried Steak"; Their CFS sits in a Cheese-Gravy and is one of the Best CFS's around. And they have the standard "Hamburger Steak"; topped with Brown Gravy & Onions. Right after Monica took our food order, she returned and with Fresh Warm Chips and more of the Red 'Hot' Salsa. That stuff warms you up from the inside out and is very tasty. We enjoyed those Chips and Dips, and then our Salads came out. I topped mine off with their Vinaigrette Dressing, my Wife chose Thousand Island, and I think Joe went with Ranch. Right after we finished the Delicious, Crisp and Flavorful Salads, our Steaks arrived. Henry's has always been pretty quick in serving their food, and the presentation is Spot-On. No matter what plate you order, it's always going to be a Beautiful Presentation. All three of our Steaks are glistening, and the aroma makes your tummy smile. We all three cut into our Steaks and they are Right-On, just the way they should be. I have had the KC Steak before, and it was Very Tastylicious, and that's what my Wife said about hers. Very Tender with lots of Flavor in every bite. Joe loved his also and ate all of it. My Wife didn't eat all of hers because, as she says, she isn't tall enough. I ate all of mine because I am tall enough. It was also Very Flavorful, Tenderlicious and just down-right great. Their Steaks cut very easy with a knife - it just falls through the Deliciousness with ease. Normally, a New York Strip Steak is seasoned by being patted dry, then liberally coated on all sides with kosher salt and black pepper. Some methods involve dry-brining for several hours, while others apply a simple mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder just before cooking. Don't know if Henry's does theirs this way, but I do know that it's Awesomely Flavored. French Fries are pretty good, and I ate all of mine, but don't tell my Doctor. I'm not suppose to have this much Steak and Potatoes, and I've done this a couple times this week. So - Shhhhhhhhhhhh. No wonder their Frijoles Borracho's are Very Tasty. The Frijoles Borracho's (Drunken Beans) are a classic dish featuring Pinto Beans slow-simmered with Beer, Bacon, and aromatic Vegetables. Other key ingredients are Bacon rendered fat, Garlic, Jalapenos, Tomatoes, Cilantro, and dark Mexican Beer. All of that in a bowl for your enjoyment. And believe me, you will enjoy these. Monica earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. She checked on us at just the right times and was very pleasant to talk to. She also described how the Steaks were seasoned, prepared, and that the KC Steak is her favorite. She is Awesome. When we left, Henry's was pretty busy, as expected. Maybe they all came for the Steaks. On the way home, we enjoyed another Beautiful San Angelo Afternoon.

Kimberly was our server and perhaps one of the BEST waitresses we've had at any restaurant in San Angelo. She took our order and quickly brought out our drinks along with chips, salsa, guacamole and beans and within minutes both our dinners were brought out to us. With it being so quick, I do question the food prep which is not necessarily a negative thing. Sometimes when food arrives fast at a sit-down restaurant, it can feel alarming. However, it can be kitchen prep done hours before service so dishes can be rapidly assembled along with synchronized cooking stations designed for efficiency. Kimberly checked on us 3 times which was nice and cleared empty dishes out of our way. The place is clean, inviting, lots of seating and numerous menu choices. We both liked our choices and our bill was reasonable.

They have eaten there several times and really like the food. My Wife and I arrived a little early and took a seat in their waiting area. Soon, our friends arrived, and the staff led us to our table/booth. The Chips & Salsa lady brought over a basket of Warm Chips and Red Medium-Heat Salsa for you to enjoy while looking over the menu. Our server, Janessa, came over, and we ordered our drinks: Dos XX Lager for me. My Wife is having water. The Chips are good and crunchy, and that Red Sauce is just what they say; it's Mediumly HOT, and very good. Soon, Janessa came over, and we placed our order. My Wife is going with their "Taco Salad"; In a decent-sized fried Tortilla Bowl, they add shredded Chicken or ground Beef. My wife chose Beef, with Black Refried Beans, Queso Dip, shredded Lettuce, diced Tomatoes, and Queso y Crema. I am having the "Baja Fish Tacos"; Three Fried or Grilled Fish (chose grilled), with Flour or Corn Tortillas (chose Corn). Topped with Chipotle Slaw & Avocado slices. Served with Black Beans in a red fried tortilla, also served with Rice. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed our drinks & chips and talked about our travels. Lots of good stories here that we are not going to post. Soon, our food is served, and my Wife's Taco Salad looks pretty good with lots of Cheese and Sour Cream on top. My Baja Fish Tacos are served on a rectangular plate and are a Beautiful Presentation. Not sure what Jimmy & Judy ordered, but both dishes looked delicious. There are Three Corn Tortillas with very, very little Baja Fish inside. So small, in fact, that I can't see the other fish inside the Corn Tortilla. Each Taco isn't even filled up to the top, with very little Chipotle Slaw. The Black Beans in the Red Fried Tortilla are just enough to cover the bottom of the tortilla. There is, however, a lot of Rice (enough for two). You can barely taste the fish inside each taco. Very disappointed in the amount of food they serve for $20.00. My Wife said pretty much the same about her Taco Salad. There is Beef at the bottom, mixed in with the Black Refried Beans and some kind of sauce, which turned this into a Soup-like creation. Not what you want inside a Taco Salad. Lots of shredded Lettuce with the shredded Cheese on top, along with the Sour Cream - and that didn't even bring it up to the top. The Tortilla Bowl itself is on the medium size, not huge nor small, but for $1400 you expect more. Overall, we are very disappointed in what you get for the money. Service was okay, but not outstanding. At first, they seemed to want to rush you out, but later on we enjoyed staying and having our conversation without interruption. Also, when they took our drink order, our server left without asking me what I wanted. Oops, that happens sometimes - I think. Anyway, that being said, the atmosphere is nice and is quiet for as open as it is. My Wife and I will go back, but only if someone invites us to join them and they pick Cielo Mexican Restaurant. We will then try something else and order another Beer. Their mixed drinks do look great, and I'm sure they are delicious, but we're not into those high prices.

I ordered steak quesadillas with a mango margarita. Our waitresses were friendly and checked on us regularly. The restaurant was clean, ample seating with a fun music vibe. My quesadilla was a bit salty but I still enjoyed my dinner. Chefs often use a bit of extra salt to wake up flavor profiles. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas w/beans and rice and a coke 0. When we got home we got to thinking why our bill was $62.24. I called and spoke with the mgr, he pulled our ticket# up and noticed our waitress added a $12.00 item onto our ticket when it should have been on our friend's ticket and he apologized for her mistake. $50.24 should have been our total. I didn't know your town, I drove around looking for Mexican food that could compare to California, until I found this hidden gem. First and foremost the customer service is something I've never experienced in my 42 years of life. As soon as you walked through the door, Brian, greeted me and from that second made me feel like long lost family. Very welcoming. It was a Sunday morning and he asked where I was from, I explained from where and why I was in town. Brian genuinely listened and he offered his prayers. You don't get this kind of service anywhere in California. It's true,Texas, people are so much nicer and hospitality really is something to be admired. I went to pay and Brian stunned me, when he wouldn't take my money and told me that I had bigger things to worry about than paying for my breakfast. After listening to me vent and pray for me and wouldn't take my money. This man really is a good human being. I'm telling you, shocked doesn't explain the feeling at that moment. I watched him interact with other customers and he was the same way being personable. Now the food could have been terrible and I would have still gave a good review just on customer service LOL, but seriously the Menudo was amazing, the broth , patas , homney, tripe and all. I'm a white guy and I come from a Hispanic community in Cali, I know ethnic. This is legit. It is very hard to find really good Menudo, but San Angelo it's right here. Please give his restaurant your business.
