Stopped in to grab some take out. I was told this was the best Mexican food in all Mcminnville. The actual restaurant had a great ambiance and everyone seemed to be enjoying. A nice gentleman came around and took my order. First thing they had square and it defaulted to a 23% tip. I don't like when they do that, I do know it is the programming. I ordered chile Colorado as my favorite and it gives you an idea on their meat, sauce, tortillas etc. oh disappointed. I had maybe 2 tablespoons of refried beans and cup of rice, both good and included in my combo. The Chile Colorado was a generous portion but and it's a big one. I could be wrong but I think they took some fajita meat and threw sauce over it. The meat was so tough I couldn't chew most of it. Chile Colorado is like a beef stew so even with low quality meet if simmered for several hours meat is usually quite tender. So it was disappointing. I was served promptly and the gentleman brought the food out to my car.. Finally Chips I believe were freshly fried but salsa was severely watered down with no texture or taste. read more

Authentic Mexican Food! 3.5 McMinnville is full of Mexican restaurants - not all built the same! We sat down right before the rush! A bit slow on the original table greeting. Once ordered the drinks came relatively quickly. And so did the food. The chips and salsa were both good and you also get Jalisco salsa (hamburger meat, queso and pico) My step dad and I split some steak fajitas- very tasty and tons to eat. My biggest complaint was the dime size portion of guacamole I received. My mom ordered a grilled chicken taco with a side of guacamole (which she had to ask for) her taco had the two smallest pieces of chicken I've ever seen - she did not send it back she just added some of our steak. I hate it bc she bragged so much on this spot. You could tell as it got busier they were way under staffed. We had to ask for drink refills. The server forgot to bring my food out. Once it came out, the rice was still crunchy and it was cold. However, the fish tacos were very hot, but taste horrible. I ate one bite and asked them to remove it from my bill however she said that just because I do not like the way it taste, they cannot remove it from my bill. I went ahead and paid for it, however will be disputing it with my credit card company. We eat out every Sunday and normally it's at the New Mexican restaurant in McMinnville Las Trojas So we thought we would try something different. Big mistake. We will continue going forward to only go to Las Trojas. We had a table of 11. Everyone else was OK except one other guest at the table and her sour cream seemed spoiled so she was unable to eat her dinner however she was told that it was a new container of sour cream So they could not do anything about it due to no other complaints. read more

Me and some co workers had ordered for lunch on 08/01. We got the burrito fajita , Hawaiian burrito deep fried , and two xangos , two teas , two cheese dips . They forgot the salad and rice with one burrito , forgot our drinks , salsa , and silverware. The steak pictured is the steak in our burritos . I asked the manager and it was excuse after excuse. She said my burrito didn't come with rice and salad but I showed her online it was advertised it did . She then said well yours isn't deep fried , which I then showed her my receipt where it was ... my desserts I told her was still frozen and looked nothing like advertised. She tried making an excuse then said you know what I don't even know why they made it that way. She then warmed up the desserts (left the ice cream in it ) and didn't add the chocolate or anything else . Remade the burrito , and added me some rice . All in all was a two hour process for a to go order . I will definitely save my money and go elsewhere next time . read more

Came here for lunch for the first time today. There weren't many people in the restaurant, but three different families that came in after us got their food before us. It was only myself and a coworker and we ordered fairly basic entrees. By the time the food came to us, it was almost cold. It looked delicious, but the tortilla kept falling apart and the rice wasn't hot. The queso was great, so we were able to hold ourselves over with chips and dip beforehand. The other server looked like he was taking better care of his tables than ours was, so it could've just been that. Overall, i would give them a second chance. The food looked good and the menu had a fairly decent selection of meals to choose from, ours was just cold and took 40 minutes to get to us. read more

So, my wife and I have given Jalisco 2 chances..both of which were epic failures. My wife ordered simple tacos. Corn tortillas, chicken, grilled onion and cilantro...not too complicated Right? Apparently it is for Jalisco. The onions were raw, the corn tortillas, that should be double wrapped, weren't, so they disintegrated. There was a rotten piece of tomato stem in one taco, etc. I ordered the Burritos Tapicos, was supposed to have cheese dip on top...it didnt. And the beef burrito tasted like they cooked it in a pan that still had soap in it. I've had Mexican food in Mexico and from California to Maine and this is by far the poorest example of Mexican fare I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. read more

Yes, I have been going to this place for a while. I will not return. The problems, 1st. I entered the store around 2:45. I asked the waiter if it was still lunch. He said yes and even showed me the lunch side of the menu. I ordered my food. I was brought a bowl of there usual cheese sample with the veggies in it. It was chunky and cold. I asked for more chees. They did respond but it was still cold. During my wait I noticed there was none of the usual people I know that work there. All new people. I asked if it had been sold. I got a open answer. Anyway, Then the food came out. It looked good. Upon first taste I new it was not the original place I was used to. OK now It gets worse.. The sour crème was bad. I mean tasted awful. I mentioned this and was pretty much ignored. I ate my meal and then The final straw came when the bill arrived. They charged me a full dinner price with out any concern. I told them 3 times what had happened and basically was told I was lying. That I came in after 3 and dinner starts after 3. It didn't matter what I told them they didn't care and just argued. The waiter I had was gone so there was not much I could do. It was a sad situation over three dollars. But the principles stick. They really need to get back to the basics of customer service and not the bottom line. Ist of which you don't call your customers liars. 2nd you serve respectfully and 3rd you serve good food. Does any one actually taste there food when they cook it. Sad to say but I will not be promoting this place any more. Whoever the owners are they need to open there eyes and regroup. When it opened it was excellent. Now its awful in multiple ways. Sad thing but true and I will not return. There are to many other GOOD Mexican restaurant in McMinnville. read more

I ordered eggs with chopped onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos (juevos Mexicanos) awhile ago. It was terrible. Everything was black, and looked like it was covered with residue from the griddle that had not been scraped off until they scraped it making my eggs. I told them and showed the lady at the register a picture of the food. I otherwise like their food so I thought I would give it another chance. I ordered it again, and asked that they please scrape the residue off the griddle before they cook them. No such luck. The eggs were not as black today but they were grey with burnt remnants of food in it. It tasted terrible and I couldn't eat any. Again I told the same lady at the register, and she switched to spanish talking to the waiter, dismissing my complaint because I complained about the same thing before. They charged full price for a plate that was returned with all the food still on it except the rice. read more

Clean,friendly environment. Prompt professional service. Was pleasantly surprised with the addition of Jalisco salsa when the traditional salsa and chips was brought to the table at no extra charge. Order the California Burrito, the steak and chicken was juicy and very tender all of the other ingredients were fresh. The waiter brought out additional sauces upon request, with no extra charge. The only set back was that the salsa was a bit sweet and taste of tomato. Very satisfied and will return. read more

Bad restaurant they set us down waiting for about 10 minutes didn't get any salsa or chips waiting for someone to ask what we would like to drink 10 minutes went by we walked out there were some customers at the register and I ask them how was the service did they like it all of them informed us that it was horrible and they would not come read more
