I ordered this 17 inch, variable speed drill press, model # 75-165 M1, Jan 9 form General Tools…read moreAmazon store. At that time the drill press was $949.00. Keep that number in mind. With tax the order came to $1006.99. After setting it up I found it had a manufacturing defect. Video Available. I informed General Tool and they sent a new drill head to replace the defective one. I wasn't home went the new drill head came. When I opened the box I found it badly damaged But the defective part that needed replacement was undamaged. Pictures available. With General's local representative's permission I swapped the defective part in my drill head with the new one. The new part was also defective. At the point it was agreed to send the press and replacement head back foe a full refund, I rescived the RMA on Fed 8th. FedEx picked up the press and head on Fed 9 It was delivered to General Tool on Feb 14th and signed for by D Haley. At that point General Tool went dark with no responses to emails. You can't call them. After many emails for months I finally got a response form there CFO Ting Liu on May 2 stating the refund was scheduled for the end of may. At that point they want dark again. I started the charge back process through my bank but due to the charge system General uses that was not possible. I informed Ting and included the email from my bank. On July 6 Ting asked for my bank info so as to execute the refund. General and Ting have gone dark again and I have heard nothing. It is clear the do not care about customer service and at this point the money may be gone forever. As to what I paid, same drill press no sells on Amazon for $549.00 As of today Aug 2 I've not gotten my refund and not hears from them since Jul 6
