I'm not sure what went wrong since I didn't initially leave a five star review for her. I did a lip neutralization with her which includes 2 appointments. I did the first (no change in my lip color) and I was unable to schedule the second. She took down the option completely! I feel completely scammed and can't seem to reach her anymore to assist. Oh this experience was a class A experience! I got my brows done a year and a half ago initially. I was supposed to return for my 6 week touch up but I didn't need to because my brows were perfect. A year and a half later i called Jamaya and told her i think I need a touch up and we worked out the timing in minutes and a week later i was in there! Her new location is beautiful and pristine! In these covid times it's hard to trust beauty professionals but I was so comfortable in her space! This time around (touch up) I will say since it's the touch up the timing was shorter because I already had my shape, but she redefined my brows and gave it more bodyodyodyodyodyodyody! Lol! I'm sooo happy Jamaya was available on such short notice (5 days prior to my engagement photos) I've never had a full face of makeup, so I was nervous, but Jamaya is AMAZING!!! She has a sweet personality and I felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends while getting my makeup done, very personable. I also burned my face a week prior to my pictures :( and was left with a light mark on my cheek that Jamaya did a wonderful job of covering. Yesterday I had a teleconference with Jamaya regarding what I thought would be an opportunity to start an unpaid internship with her and Pretty Much Beauty. However, Jamaya bluntly told me that I could not intern with her, but with good reasoning. BRIDES BEWARE: I got engaged in March this year and in September, began my search for the perfect makeup artist. Aside from getting to marry the perfect guy, I have to say getting my makeup done professionally was one part of the wedding experience I was looking forward to the most. Having never had my makeup done before, I was super excited and so I began asking friends for referrals and combing through bridal websites to find a great artist. After my wedding coordinator recommended Jamaya Moore I visited her website and was blown away by her work. I thought her talent was nothing short of amazing and so I reached out to her immediately. She replied with her pricing and we struck up a dialogue about my wedding. I was planning on having my makeup done as well as treating my seven bridesmaids and the moms for a total of over $1,000 worth of services. At first, Jamaya seemed excited to work with me and she suggested I schedule my trial for a day I would really be able to show it off so I made an appointment for December 12, the day of my company's annual holiday party. On December 3, about a week and a half before my trial was scheduled, I reached out to Jamaya to confirm my trial. No reply. I waited a few days and then followed up with a second email as well as a phone call and voicemail. No reply. I then sent a Facebook message and left another voicemail. No reply. At first, I found myself making excuses for Jamaya - maybe she was super busy with another wedding or other event. But after visiting her Instagram and Facebook pages and seeing plenty of activity, it was clear that for some reason, Jamaya was making a choice to simply not return any of my messages. As I write this review, I'm still not quite sure why that is. Throughout all of our communications I was nothing but complimentary of her work and showed such enthusiasm at the opportunity to work with her. Had she needed to reschedule I would have completely understood! So after making an appointment over 2 months in advance, I was left without anyone to do my makeup for my annual holiday party and am now forced to start my search for a wedding makeup artist from scratch, yet again. I never even received so much as a message to say "I'm sorry. I'm no longer available." But, to add insult to injury, I did receive an appointment reminder from her booking website, which I myself then had to cancel to avoid a penalty on my credit card. I guess I should be happy that this only happened for a trial run rather than on my actual wedding day, but I'm just so disappointed and felt I should make the other brides out there that may be considering Jamaya aware of this experience so that they aren't left high and dry on one of the most important days of their life. read more

She was and still is very friendly and approachable, she takes her time always explains what she is doing and never has a problem with recommending and suggesting make and skin care products that work best for your skin. I have used many Make Up Artist during my time as a model, but I always go back to Jamaya. As a woman who doesn't really wear makeup, outside of some mascara and MAYBE some concealer on a good day...I was in search of someone to put me together for an event. Being from NYC, I thought I would just go to the nearest MAC and let those girls do my makeup. After researching however, I found Ms. Moore. Our session was more like two friends catching up. She came to my hotel room, fully armed with all of her tools. I honestly wasn't even paying attention to my face (despite being right In front of a mirror) until it came time to decide between lashes or just going with my own natural lashes and mascara. I got married in October and Jamaya did the makeup for me, my two sisters and my mom. It was beyond what we hoped for. At my makeup trial, I told Jamaya that I wanted to still look like myself but feel flawless. She really took the time to enhance my skin and eyes which was what I wanted. My mom had never had her makeup done by someone else and Jamaya made her feel comfortable and kept things simple while making my mom feel beautiful.
