The prices and variety of items are why I would rate this at 4 stars! They have something at every price point in about every section. But, although anyone could find something here, a lot of people might be overwhelmed by the amount of things in the shop. They have a few smaller musical instruments, a bunch of purses and clothing, my personal favorite was the crystals, gems and jewelry section! The staff was friendly, but didn't seem very attentive. When I went to pay, the guy working spent more time talking to his coworker than talking with me. It felt disconnected and a bit dismissive. Other than that, they were nice. If boho is your style I'd definitely recommend checking this place out, and if it's not, it's still worth a look! read more

Hard to find both these days. The young man was more than happy to lead me through the long hallways covered in mysterious tapestrii (tapestry plural, fyi), and into the 'Blacklight Room'--a room of black lights. In the room of black lights there were also red and yellow lights: pulsing in globes that responded to touch. When I turned away from one of these globes, the young man was gone. read more

I could live in this store!! Jambo is a store I go to at least once every time I am in Newport! I was surprised at how reasonable their prices are- even more so considering their location in a tourist flooded area. They have unique imports from all over the world. Love this place! Every time I come to town I can't wait to climb the stairs and enter this store. It's great! I've bought something every time I go, and there's always something new to see! Staff is helpful and courteous and allows me to bring in my dog (I carry her) and that really makes it easy to shop. I've bought pants, scarves, this-n-that and yesterday I got a cool new hat, reasonably priced and soft and cute. One thing I need to add: I love the way this store smells, layers and layers of incense. I relish the scent in the things I buy, but if you're extremely sensitive you may not like this. I seldom write reviews and even more rarely good reviews. We tend to use yelp to get back at business who do do a lousy job. The shop itself loaded with all things hippy but I went looking for vape supplies and was having trouble finding replacement coils. Anyway, Daniella, hope I got the name right, went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out. Not only that, was cheerful and happy to do it. The shop I went to previously wouldn't even look it then said I needed to buy a new $100 tank and mod.
