We didn't see any employees pumping gas while we were there. They have snack and beverage vending machines available as well. Overall, we got what we needed, gas! The pump we used had a crappy lever on it. It kept clicking off like the tank was full, but we only had about a quarter tank when we stopped in. We ended up putting $80 of gas in the tank, but had to hold the pump lever the entire fill-up. A bit annoying.

When I came into the store, I was greeted warmly and professionally by the two lovely ladies working on the floor. I browsed through the many options available, but wasn't sure what to look for as a comfortable, durable option to use through long work hours standing in place. I wish I would have gotten the sales associate's name, she was so knowledgeable and truly helpful. She educated me about a properly fitting shoe, what specifically about the components of the shoe would help my biomechanics to relieve my low back pain, and really made me feel like she cared a lot more about teaching me what I need rather than selling me a product. Not only did she end up finding me an excellent shoe in my budget, but I even found another few pairs that I can't wait to go back for as soon as I can afford to do so. This is my first real "grown up" nice pair of work shoes (Danskos) and she made the whole process so much less intimidating by explaining everything to me in detail, including how to properly put on/take off and cycle out shoes to keep them in peak condition for longer. I felt like she was genuinely trying to make sure I had the best understanding possible of what would be the top choice for my specific needs and body rather than trying to make a sale or steer me towards the pricier options on the floor. I always love supporting a local family owned business, but Jennie's makes it an incredibly easy choice to keep coming back to a place with extraordinary service, reasonable pricing, expertise in their field, and layaway options to work for any budget. It's a nice place, although getting in and out of the parking lot sucks due to speed, blind corners, and giant hill coming in and out. The shoe repair prices are lower than at other shops, and the work is good. I recently dropped off three pairs. They call you when the shoes are ready. A week and a half later I was in the area, and decided to call to see if they were ready. Well. First thing to know about Burch's shoe repair - they usually don't answer the phone. You need to leave a message and the "counter girl" will later return your call. So I decided to come in to check. That was a mistake. You ring the doorbell and, well, I guess I must have interrupted some shoe repair, because this guy was not happy to see me, brusquely telling me I will be called when the shoes are ready. Fine. I later picked up the shoes. One pair looked a little different, but I figured it was just that I had not seen the shoes in a while. At home, I realized my heel cups were missing. The insoles for my boots were returned. So I called them (left a message of course) and asked if they had them. She later called me to say they didn't see them. *I* certainly don't have them, and I have reason to believe I left them in like I did the other pair. So I asked her if they would compensate me to replace the heel cups. I agreed with her that a big fat $10 would be enough - although driving back and forth to this dumb shop is costing me some too. She called back after speaking with the boss, who said that it is "against policy" to compensate me for what they lost, and it's "my responsibility" that I didn't remove the heel cups before dropping the shoes off, which was news to me. Anyway, they do get a star simply because the repairs are good. And this review unfortunately has nothing to do with the shoe store; if they want to conglomerate the reviews this is what you get.
