Much like M M I'm new in town and if you move around alot like i do, you would know one of the toughest task is to find a dental place that fits you. So first I got lazy cus of all the messes going on in our country for the last year or so and so passed due on cleaning. Just when I was about to go online to find a dentist near by, I found Cronin in my mail box. I took it a sign from God :) I got two appt. right away for me and my daughter the very next day. If you read my other reviews, you'd know safe location is a must for me. This place's next to the police station. How safer can u get!! The place is huge but unlike other big places, where you have to wait long cus they never get their time on time? I came a bit early to fill out new forms but got called two mins right after i handed back the forms. IDK if the place is new but it's so clean, cleaner than all the dental ive ever been to. My daughter's dentist (Bailey, hope i spell it right) was sweet and my daughter loves her. My dentist Eric Johnson was full of common sense. Im sorry to say being a doc don't mean they come w common sense. Johnson did and that made my visit fast and easy. God's sent!!! I am normally a very fearful patient as I have had many, many bad experiences at dentist offices. It has made me not even want to go to the dentist at all. So, when I need something major done, other than just a typical cleaning or exam, I am very much a high anxiety patient. I let the staff know ahead of time, just so people will understand. They made every effort to accommodate me and it really made me trust them as a whole practice. I really like the staff so much, as well as Dr. Cronin. When I firstly saw Dr. Cronin as a brand new patient, I had a lot of pain from a previous procedure that didn't go so well at another office and he was so kind and patient with me, which I really appreciated so much. He actually listened to me, didn't blame me for the cause of the pain and took his time explaining what was wrong and what the best path forward was. This immediately put me at ease, I realized I was in good hands and could actually trust someone, which is honestly so hard for me to do based on my negative past experiences. Dr. Cronin took the time to figure out what had gone wrong. He was sincerely there just to help. He spent a lot of time with me and I was not even his established patient yet. I honestly felt like he gave me the same care and attention as if I were family. Dr. Cronin is very smart and very experienced. He had seen cases like mine many times before and that also was comforting to know. He paid attention to the work done and helped me with the pain part, but also offered nutritional advice for supporting the body in the healing process, and that was an important missing link in my case as I was not getting proper nutrition. I was so suprised he saw the connection there. I hadn't even considered the nutrition link. I cannot tell you how rare this is in healthcare these days and I am so grateful Dr. Cronin is not just an excellent and knowledgeable dentist, he is also a good human being. Now, I am so happy to have a dentist that I can trust and am looking forward to taking care of my teeth and keeping up on my visits for good health. They have a very helpful plan that acts sort of like dental insurance if you are like me and don't have dental insurance. This will really help make care possible and lower the costs. You can ask about that when you call. Thank you so much, Dr. Cronin, for helping me during a very bad time and for helping me to heal quickly and for being such a smart dentist who treats the whole patient with a gentle respect and consideration. She's so down to earth, caring, wants to make sure you are okay and will even provide a blanket if you're cold. On top of that I explained that my insurance only covers a max amount per year and wasn't in a place to cover any extra expenses so they made sure to work within my insurance to take care all the necessary procedures needed so I wouldn't be stuck with a huge bill. Dr. Jennifer Hughes and our hygienist, Debbie were both very friendly and professional. A "comprehensive oral exam" was $73 not including x-rays. Because of several cavities (which were only apparent on the x-rays), I came back to get them filled and had no problems. I was a little skeptical because I couldn't see one or two of the cavities (even on the x-rays she showed me), but the cavities were very small. I guess I should leave that to the professionals! They said my husband had no cavities so I trusted them that mine were real. I thought it was a little odd that they didn't use a panoramic x-ray like my old dentist. I didn't see the machine there so I am not sure if they don't have one or if they just prefer other types of x-rays. Instead they used bitewing x-rays (which were fully covered by my insurance) and periapical x-rays (that were not fully covered by my insurance). I kind of wish they would've told me that before they started snapping away at some special problem teeth that me and my husband had. They were very good about showing me the x-rays on the monitors and explaining to me how they interpret them. Their office is very clean and bright and they layout of the exam rooms is very open.

The reason for the 3 star rating is it felt like I was going through a timeshare sales process because I really only went in for a cleaning, which didn't actually happen. Explanation was that I was getting a thorough exam first, and then was recommended for a multi step cleaning process that wouldn't start till my next appointment, even though the hygienist said that I took really good care of my teeth. The general take away was that they were really only concerned with how many different services and procedures they could get me to agree to, and the lady that finally gives you pricing is pretty rude and pushy..I'll be looking for another dentist after that experience.
