James came out this past week to do an evaluation of our foundation. Another foundation company told us that we needed around $10,000 worth of foundation work. James did not come to that same conclusion. His evaluation was consistent with the evaluation of the structural engineer we hired. He spent a little time educating me on how to improve the moisture of the soil near the foundation, particularly in the summer months. He was direct and to the point, yet kind and patient as I asked several questions. James earned my trust. I highly recommend this company. read more

Using JBCFR was a VERY pleasant experience. Anytime I have to get a contractor to do some work around the house, I get "I'm-about-to-be-ripped-off" Anxiety. James took about an hour and half to fully survey the property, visually inspect obvious problem exterior areas, identify his company's landscape protection protocols, surveyed the home's interior walls, windows, doors, closet spaces, etc. He was very thorough with the inspection and identify other non-foundation related repairs for future projects. His digital floor mapping, leveling equipment was used in every room in the house at about 4-5' spacing throughout the perimeter. He drew an EXACT SCALE floor plan of the home, identified the weak points, and the pier impact locations. In my specific situation, the front of the house had begun a gradual slow slide towards the curb and leveling dropped 1-3" in areas. James' crew worked in the hottest part of day... without complaint! They worked very hard, doing a very physically demanding job in unbearable heat/humidity... and NOT ONE TIME did one of them lose their composure, sour their demeanor or become unprofessional. I am very, very impressed with that level of service. Day 1 - "hand" dig all pier sites, while safely, carefully removing our beloved landscaping, patio furniture, etc. Day 2 - all power-jacking work done, new leveling readings throughout the house, new cement poured to affected concrete porch areas, all landscaping returned carefully to their original positions and patio furniture replaced. The crew carefully raked the yard, removed excess dirt, swept the sidewalk... they left NO IMPRINT they were there! Our house has now returned to its previous level self! James is honest and trustworthy. He has assessed the foundation on two separate properties of mine. He took measurements and assured me that my foundations were within the acceptable tolerance. As a single woman homeowner I am very cautious on what is being sold to me and James did not try to scare me or sell me anything. I found him to be very dependable, genuine and most important honest. I do not normally take time to review businesses but after two separate good experiences I would absolutely recommend James Bond Complete Foundation Repair! :-) read more

These guys are something rare in the world these days!!! I was in the middle of buying a house and I was told by the inspector to have the foundation looked at. I called a one of their competitors out first and he told me that we needed 6,000 dollars worth of piers. They made it sound pretty bad. I didn't have a good feeling about the guy so I got a second opinion from James Bond. I was ready to spend the money and do the work. I told them that before they came out to inspect the house. The salesman showed up and was very professional. After an hour looking at the house, he told me that he could not sell me anything with a clear conscience. He said the house was well within the 1" tolerance and I really didn't need to do anything at this point. I pressed the issue but he just kept saying it didn't need anything?? I cannot speak for their work or business since James Bond Foundation Repair never showed up for my scheduled appointment at my home. I initially had called them and scheduled an appointment. The earliest they could come to my home was going to be 2 weeks away so I scheduled time off to be there for the visit. Needless to say they never showed up and I called last week, November 8 and left a voice message. I have yet to hear back from the company regarding my missed appointment. What I can speak on is their customer service. Missed appointment and not receiving a response in a timely manner. This needs work. I'd hope to at least receive a response. read more

James came out and assessed my foundation promptly. He advised that the foundation was within the guidelines of being level. He advised that I should get new gutters to help the foundation maintain its stability. He did not recommend any immediate piers. read more

I called James Bond for an estimate after the big guys who did repair work on our home with the previous owner didn't transfer the warranty. Coming from California we had some concerns as we didn't know what was and wasn't a potentially big issue. James Bond responded timely, came out on time, did a quick estimate and gave us some great news. They did have recommendations on getting engineering plans for greater peace of mind. They are prompt, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy and if we do have any bigger concerns down the road, I would feel like we would be in great hands with James Bond. read more

Took longer then they said it would take. Once the foundation repair was done, the company did nothing to repair the damage they had done to our house. They left dirt on the interior walls, left rocks under the carpet they had to pull back, and damaged furniture inside. read more

My realtor referred me to James Bond when I was selling my home and the buyer and I both were happy that the work was done by James Bond Foundation. I wish I would have done it sooner, so I could've enjoyed the difference myself. His pricing was almost HALF as much as other companies, they tried to scare me into purchasing the ENTIRE COW, when all I needed was a steak! Edit: this review is for the DFW area, still giving one star. Came to my house and tried to over sell the amount of work which was needed. Out of all the bids I received the technician that had come over stayed for only 10 minutes and pulled a random number of piers out of his whatever... James Bond Foundation put pier and beam in our home October 2015 it's not even 5 months later and the inspector gave a negative report where they don't the beams do not line up and have tilted and James Bond Now does not offer the warranty that he promised he said it was good for three years from October 15th for three years to repair anything for free although I was paying him $1,000 for that and then after that it would be $100 per pair now they're telling me that that is not the case they're changing their warranty and making me pay additional Monies to repair the job this is not fair so please advise people not to use this company read more

I was very impressed with our estimator Paul. He was very professional, friendly, through and considerate of my time. We wanted to confirm our foundation was in good shape before replacing flooring. Paul was very honest and explained we currently had no concerns even giving water management tips. They never call back or let you know any information throughout the entire process, instead of removing the dirt as they should they spread in around the house and we did not pass inspection. Very dissatisfied with the work, did far more damage than good. Will not follow up to repair mortar that has already separated in cracks he caused. Will not remove excess mortar and mortar fingerprints on the brick making the cracks he caused very obvious. Took 3 weeks and several calls to get the engineer report and warrantee (which I can already tell is worthless). Before getting your foundation leveled especially with James Bond, consider the 1.1 inch tolerance he disclosed at the end of the job when questioning why the after measurements weren't $17k worth better. So if your 2" off you will pay for .9" of leveling. Property was left in shambles for me to clean up. Consider where you need the excess dirt, he "as the expert" should know how much dirt you need against the house, which is where his engineer told be afterwards is where it should have been, rather than spread all over the yard. Don't let him do the sales call with his fancy instruments then drop off his crew with a 5' bubble level to do the work. read more
