After receiving an overwhelming quote and a sales pitch from the "O" company, I used FIRM for a second opinion. Mason was honest and professional, explained that my home did not have a foundation problem whatsoever and offered irrigation recommendations for future water runoff. Firm is an honest company that provides superior service at a lower cost and does very good work fast! I've had several houses done with them and I've been so impressed with the work - both were completed within 2 days! I've also had him come to another house (where a general contractor suggested I needed work) and have him say he didn't think anything was needed. However, I need to give accolades for the work done to provide a quote for the work needed for my foundation. His review was thorough. He took the time to explain his findings and gave me recommendations which included going back to the company with whom I had a warranty. It is not ofter you find honest people. Avoid this company if you value integrity and professionalism. Mason was unprofessional and the lack of honesty was appaling. He expects customers to bend over backwards to save him a buck. In Masons exact works, "what do you want from me?!! If its a two day job I lose money." Failing to canvas the site before sending your workers. Zero notice before showing up. Worked afterhours without discussing prior. Needed access to the neighbors yard but failed to inform the neighbor they would be working late. Ultimately forcing the neighbor to keep their yard open for the workers to work late. He'll promise you one thing and instruct his team to do something else. If you dont personally babysit the work being done, they'll try to slip one by you. Like tearing up your yard and not relying grass over the torn area. Even after being confronted about the lawn, then promising to patch the grass, his crew tried to stick grass clippings into the dirt to make it look "covered" Just dont do it, pay a little bit more for peace of mind. read more

Ryan and his team are professional, great to work with and delivered an incredible final product. We had a failing retaining wall and wood fence in bad shape. FIRM Foundation built a beautiful stone retaining wall, installed a wrought iron fence along the top of the wall and put in a new board on board cedar fence along each side of our backyard. We had a lot of questions along the way and Ryan was happy to answer them, taking the time to make sure we understood each step of the process along the way. We're looking forward to working with FIRM Foundation in the future to address some foundation issues in our home (the result of the failing retaining wall). Almost a year ago Ryan came out to give me a quote on a foundation repair for my 3yr old home. He was very thorough and detailed. The quote he gave me was half the cost of another I had gotten. Due to my work schedule we were able to schedule it the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was supposed to take 2 days but we were supposed to have bad weather that Saturday. I'm in a home that had previous foundation work, and started developing cracks in the joins/corners of a couple wall, but I couldn't contact the previous vendor. I reached out to Firm Foundation repair, and they scheduled someone to come out and inspect. They were prompt, courteous, took measurements and showed me the results - which was that there was minor shifting, but not enough to warrant and work at this time. I live in an older home, built in 1936. A couple of years ago, my water bill went sky high, my wooden floors started buckling, the kitchen floor started sagging....had to be a leak, right? Well, to keep it short, yes, it was a leak, but not related. I had to have my whole house water supply line repiped. I had a fantastic plumber, who found the leak (after scores of other plumbers couldn't find it!), and the leak was fixed, but the floor issues still needed to be addressed. I had dozens of contractors, flooring companies, foundation companies, and everyone else, come and look at it all and give me quotes and their opinions. And then Ryan from Firm Foundation showed up. He went under the house, examined everything, took pictures, and then explained it all to me in language even I could understand, and told me exactly what needed to be done. We scheduled a time for the crew to show up. He took care of the permits with the city, and everything else that needed to be done. They were prompt, courteous, and went right to work. There were 7 of them, and a job that I had been told would take almost a week by others, was done in about 4 hours.. They replaced the beams that needed to be replaced, secured everything, and showed me what they had done. I would have been ecstatic if it had ended there, but there was more. They contracted with a highly reputable structural engineering company to come out and do an inspection! The report was fantastic, and now I'm just waiting on the final written report and the green tag from the city! And I can get my floors fixed!! The price was about half of what every other company quoted, as well...but then, they didn't try to gouge me by telling me that I needed work done that I really didn't need. (one company told me I needed 9 additional piers under my house!) Ryan is a God-send. Literally. He made me feel comfortable with my final decision, was very reassuring, and for the first time in 2 years, I felt at peace with the work that needed to be done. This is a wonderful company with wonderful employees and I would recommend them to ANYONE in a heartbeat! read more

It was easy to set up an estimate appointment (complimentary) and Mason arrived at the established appt time - even calling 30 minutes before to confirm. He was professional, thorough and patiently answered all of my questions. He inspected and took appropriate measurements inside and outside our of home. He then explained what was happening with our foundation. He left the quote (clear and professional), answered my questions and left his contact information. I appreciate his professionalism, clarity and honesty. At this point, our issue is "borderline" - and I know we will call FIRM Foundation Repair when we feel it is time to proceed with lifting this corner of our home. Mason just came to our home to evaluate the foundation. First, it was easy to schedule an appt online through yelp and confirmed appt within a minute. My appt was also schedule within 2 days vs other companies that are a week out. Day of appt, Mason called/lvm 30 minutes before appt with eta; he arrived 10 minutes early and walked up already visually inspecting the front. Mason was very patent listening to my concerns and walking through the house and around outside with me. I think he could sense I'm a DIYer and explained what he was looking for so I know what to keep an eye on. He then spent time gathering measurements and provided a document that showed the layout of the house with all the specifics. He said at this time the house is in great condition not needing any work. He also advised what we could do/or not do for our property. I love his honesty and very grateful for the time he took to inspect our home. I'll call Firm Foundation again (it's Texas so I expect the house to settle some within the next 5-10 yrs if we keep having freezing winters and drought summers). read more
