TLDR: you will want to have this place be your dentist…read more Let me start by saying, before Dr. Holz I hated going to the dentist. I did not have the best dental hygiene growing up which has compounded into a mouth that needs a lot of work. Previous dentists I went to made this seem insurmountable and it was too overwhelming and I ultimately would give up every time. Dr. Holz did the opposite of that. In my initial consult with him on 9/20/2021 he also explained that my mouth was in really bad condition, but he took the time to explain how we could systemically approach it and what needed to be taken care of right away and what could wait for the future. He also did not judge me when I shed a few tears over how overwhelming it all was. 1.5 years later, 6 teeth pulled, 4 crowns, 10+ fillings (I was able to not need some over time which was great), 14 visits later I am still as happy as I am that first visit. Every visit to the office is dare I say fun. Everyone at the office works together to take care of you so that you have the best experience. I had some complications from the teeth being pulled that required lots of coordination and the front office stepped in and made sure everything was taken care of so that I could focus on what I needed to. Also Dr. Holz and the different assistants explain every step of the way what they are doing so that I never have to wonder what that weird sound is in my mouth. Also, Dr. Holz is the best at numbing I have ever experienced. The experience is top notch while you are in the chair is also top notch. The massage chairs and televisions with Netflix and disney+ are a wonderful added bonus that help distract you when you have longer treatments. I could continue to go on and on with how much this location has changed my life but I will leave you with this, 1.5 later I've finally moved out of the first phase of treatment and get to begin on the optional parts of my treatment, and I have never enjoyed my smile more. I cannot thank Dr. Holz and team for all they do enough.

I had paperwork to fill out. I the office provided complimentary drinks in the lobby. After my paperwork work was completed I was able to go to the back to get a full scan of my mouth. It was in 3D with color. I was a bit skeptical because of my experience at sage dental but they said not to worry. After going over some of my goals for my smile I felt so relaxed. The dentist understood everything and answered all of my questions. After that I got to relax and watch my show on Netflix because they had TVs mounted on the ceiling while you get your cleaning done. Now the cleaning was such a peaceful moment. She cleaned my teeth with so much care. There were three flavors of toothpaste for the cleaning. I got to try the cinnamon and one other. I really enjoyed the cinnamon but decided to stick with the other that I cannot recall. I even got walked out and was gifted a tumbler too. I absolutely love my new dental office.

We proceeded, assuming the $300 plan would still cover basic preventive care later, as no expiration was mentioned. However, when my son tried to make an appointment in 2026, the office stated the plan had "expired" and was valid for one year from time of purchase and would no longer be honored, despite my payment in 2024 for that specific benefit and the lack of prior notice about expiration. This feels like a deceptive practice. Furthermore, my husband, also a patient, was told he needed a tooth removed. A second opinion from an oral surgeon revealed this was unnecessary. They wanted to do an X-ray and exam, which I declined since I had one done just a few months ago. I also declined an exam and asked only for a cleaning. When it was time to pay, I noticed charges for an exam, X-rays, and cleaning. I told the front desk I only received a cleaning, and she checked with the dentist. He claimed he had done an exam -- but he was the one who cleaned my teeth himself, and there was no separate exam performed. I'm disappointed because I was charged for a service I clearly declined and didn't receive. Patients deserve honesty and transparency in billing. Always review your statement carefully before paying.

He became my primary dentist and put together a plan with an orthodontist, a maxillofacial surgeon and a periodontist. He decided I needed gum grafts, which were a success. I got braces, which were a success. Then I had double corrective jaw surgery, which was not only unsuccessful but has left me with permanent, searing nerve pain. After I had the surgery, I was informed that Dr. Schmitt was no longer practicing as a regular dentist but only doing restorative work. He told me to find another dentist and to come back when I needed a full mouth restoration. He, quite literally, abandoned me mid-stream with the plan he had laid out for me. Odd, don't you think, for a professional who claims "heartfelt compassion"? For a dentist who It seems to me that, the minute he realized there was a complication in my treatment, he didn't want to be involved, although he had been deeply involved before. Doesn't sound compassionate to me. I was fortunate to find another dentist to take care of my teeth but the whole "plan" that had been laid out for me was dropped. I don't believe a responsible dentist, or any responsible health professional, would drop a patient in the middle of treatment because he decided he didn't want to practice that part of his profession any longer. I am now in my 50s and have lost several teeth in the back so I needed a very customized dental plan to replace teeth.. eventually ALL of my teeth. Dr. Schmitt is very expensive for sure -- most other dentists, periodontists and maxillary surgeons do not even charge for a 2nd opinion or an estimate for a dental plan. Dr. Schmitt charges a whopping 343 dollars for this. But this is NOT why I writing this....... this man is creepy. He took legitimate photos of my mouth with a female technician assisting him. But then he took some photos when NO female technician was in the room -- at the time I wasnt really processing it and tried to blow it off. But in reflection -- the photos were a very bizarre pose with my mouth OPEN and really did not seem to be clinically relevant AT all... I have asked for ALL the photos--- he ONLY sent me the photos that were taken with the female tech in the room, HOWEVER, he STILL has not sent me the creepy photos in question. It has been 2 WEEKS since I have asked for those particular photos -- -- I asked for them twice and asked the office staff as well... CRICKETS. He has not given me the time of day -- he has COMPLETELY ignored me. I find this to be disrepectful, unprofessional, unethical and YES CREEPY. Beware women!
