Payment is non-refundable even if treatment has not been started. So if you change your mind or financially like in my case you would like to cancel treatment that has not started. They should explain and make it clear before you sign.

Beware of this place because they will nickle and dime you, $17 for fluoride toothpaste, $36 for anesthesia, $25 for oral cancer screening and whatever else they can add on I guess. Im not opposed to the extra fees, oral cancer screening is important, I guess toothpaste is special Rx but to force me to have "anesthesia" ....that's a nope for me. The appointment was confirmed, only for me to later receive a phone call saying the office was actually closed. Thankfully, they were able to reschedule us at another location a few miles away later that same day. But while we were driving to the appointment, they called again to say they could see my daughter for a consultation only -- they do not provide treatment for pediatric patients. So now, at 3 PM on a Friday, I'm left scrambling with nowhere to bring my child. Earlier in the day I had multiple options for pediatric dentists, but I chose this office because they appeared to have availability and confirmed the appointment. This is not a reflection of the dentists themselves -- I'm sure the doctors provide excellent care. The problem is the administrative side: scheduling, communication, and basic patient coordination. If an office cannot treat pediatric patients, that should have been identified before confirming the appointment and sending us across town. Instead, we lost an entire day, and now my daughter either sits in pain until Monday or we pay ER prices for dental care that should have been handled properly from the start. The most frustrating part is that they still seemed perfectly willing to charge for the consultation despite knowing they could not actually treat the patient.

They take the needs of every patient to heart and ensure the needs are met and the patient is satisfied and comfortable. I have never been a fan of the dentist but Dr. Dave has always put my mind at ease when having any dental work done. He is very thorough and will explain everything upfront and as he is doing the work. I no longer stress over having to have any dental work done. Everyone in the office is super friendly and welcoming. Keep in mind they are not really in any insurance companies networks, so you typically end up paying a little more but for someone who may not be the biggest fan of the dentist, it is worth every penny. They do file my insurance for me, then I just pay what my insurance does not cover. I highly recommend Dr. Dave and his team. Oh, it is also worth noting I still used Dr. Dave when I lived in Jacksonville, FL and still make the drive now from Davenport.

During that visit, they: * Opened the tooth * Placed medication * Shaved it down * Placed a temporary crown However, no root canal was completed, and no permanent crown was placed. I was then presented with a treatment plan that included very high costs, including a CEREC crown upgrade that was not clearly explained as an out-of-pocket expense beyond insurance coverage. The very next day, after reviewing everything, I returned and informed them that I would not be continuing treatment with their office. I was told that I was "stuck" with them. That statement is incorrect. Patients have the legal right to choose where they receive care. I chose to go to another in-network provider, where: * My root canal was properly completed * My crown was handled appropriately * Pricing was transparent * No unnecessary upgrades were pushed At SoDo Smiles, I paid $279 out of pocket and was told I had a zero balance at that time. I am now seeing billing attempts for procedures that were not completed by their office. This experience raised concerns regarding: * Lack of financial transparency * Upselling of upgraded services * Misleading communication * Billing practices Patients deserve clear communication, fair pricing, and the freedom to make informed decisions.
