I came in with dental insurance and a chipped tooth that needed a simple bonding. I clearly told them what I was there for. Of course, they started with a full X-ray and first-time exam (standard stuff), but then things got weird. A very well-dressed woman walks in not in scrubs, and starts telling me I need a deep cleaning before they can even touch my chipped tooth. She throws around things like "possible heart disease". The whole thing felt more like a sales pitch than a medical opinion. Honestly, if you're trying to be taken seriously in a healthcare setting, maybe dress like you're actually part of it not like you're there to close a car deal. Then comes the quote: $1200 for the deep cleaning with insurance. I was told insurance doesn't cover it. That sounded off, so I called my provider they said that's not true that they covered it . Insurance called the office asking for the paperwork to verify coverage. Aspen Dental refused to send it. It took multiple calls to finally get them to send what was needed, and sure enough, insurance confirmed it was covered. Did Aspen ever call me back? Nope. I ended up going somewhere else, had no problems, and guess what? The procedure was covered just like insurance said. Moral of the story: if you don't want to feel like just another dollar sign, go somewhere else. These folks don't care about you or your dental Health they care about the green in your pocket

I have never been offered COFFEE at the dentist. Ever. Before my appointment. Like what?! That's cool. When they call you back, you are welcomed with your name on the tv screen. You lean back and you can watch Netflix during your appointment! They also have blankets! What a nice way to catch up on your shows during your appointment. It also helps relieve that awkwardness of them trying to talk to you and expecting a response when you literally cannot respond. Sometimes they have some nice freebies for the patients like eye gels to de-puff your eye bags. They got lip balms at the front desk too. I'm telling you; it's more like a spa lol The final touch is ending the appt with a warm expandable face towel. Best feeling ever. Very easy to set up an appointment, cancel or reschedule via phone or text. They're so efficient and transparent with costs and insurance. They offer multiple payment options too. Xiomara is my favorite dental hygienist to exist! If I could hire a personal dental hygienist, this is my girl right here. She has always been super kind, patient, and genuine.
