Best Car Buying Experience Ever Ask for Brad! After a long, stressful search for the right Golf R, I finally found the perfect one at James Hodge Ford in Muskogee, OK and it was Brad who made it all happen. I can't say enough good things about him. From the first call, Brad was chill, honest, and super easy to work with no pushy sales tactics, just good energy and real conversation. I had to go through my credit union for financing, which caused some delays since the check had to be overnighted. Despite that, Brad held the car for me and stayed in touch the whole time without ever making me feel pressured. On pickup day, I flew into Tulsa and of course, a storm hit. My flight was delayed, stuck on the tarmac for another hour, and I arrived almost 2 hours late. Brad didn't complain once. He waited for me, then picked me up at the airport and drove me an hour to the dealership like it was no big deal. That kind of patience and professionalism is rare. When I finally saw the car, it was perfect. 100% stock, just what I'd been hunting for, and the steering wheel TPM was already done. The whole process was smooth, and Brad made what could have been a stressful purchase feel like picking up a car from a friend. He really helped me get my dream car, and I'm beyond grateful. These people are thieves and liars. I took my car in for a check engine light. They replaced the auxiliary water pump and said it was fixed. That cost $1450 dollars. A few days later the light came back on. They now said it was a wiring problem. They kept my car most of the summer. The water pump was not the problem. I have the old pump and it works fine. They offered no apology or refund. I still don't know exactly what they did to my car. Stay far away from this business. read more

I had to give my friend a ride for 2 weeks because this place could not get it together. This facility replaced an A/C component and brake part under recall. The service advisor, Forrest advised that it is common practice for this facility to replace recalled parts, and not verify the part actually works. Forrest advised that with recalls this is standard practice. The service advisor prior to Forrest, on the phone reported to only need the vehicle for one full day to complete all necessary repairs. This was not true. The vehicle needed to be dropped off for one full day to diagnose the problem, then parts had to be ordered. The vehicle had to be returned, a week later, after the parts were received, and yet again, was not ready the same day, as one of the ordered parts were wrong. Once all recalls were completed, the A/C system still yet did not work. Forrest offered the owner to return the following day, and pay for diagnosis. The owner diagnosed the problem on his own via online resources, and made the necessary repairs on their own. Do not use this place. read more

I would give 0 stars but anyways spent 4 hours waiting they could've just told me I didn't qualify. I would've been fine but i had to come back again which was a almost 2 hour drive. Also i had to keep on constantly asked for updates because they told me nothing until i asked and then they would finally do somthing. They also ended up selling me a truck with a bad transmission and some type of electrical problem with the miles. Even though they said i could fix it when the warranty papers come in (never got it), I don't think they gave me warranty even though they kept on saying yeah you'll gey it in the mail and still nothing. They made my truck go from a bump bump fill while driving down the highway and shifting hard to now it goes from 1st gear to 5th gear . After they updated program on transmission , to flushed transmission which I started in May 2022 to Dec 30 2022 . I got a couple of recordings and they lost them but engineer told them what it could be but they told me they didn't want to throw money at it . It was under warranty and now they say take it somewhere else ? They had truck from early November to December 30 . So almost 2months . Filed with attorney general and now I have to prove they have a record of this even though they admitted to losing recording in which would have told engineers what to do . Don't know about buying a car, but don't get your oil changed here. They don't honor appointments. Made a appointment last week. Waited fourth seven minutes and they still haven't gotten it on the rack. They go by a first come first serve bases apparently. The guy behind the counter is slower that the dickens. He looks about eighty and can't hardly hear. What a waste of time. Also the cleaning lady is rude as hell. I sat forward in a chair for five seconds and she covered the back of my chair in bleach I guess to disinfect it. Would have been nice to get a warning. This place sucks. read more

There's something great going on at Hodge Ford. I bought my used Hyundai here a year ago, and I got a great deal on it. Since then, I've come in for service, my free car washes and some windshield wipers. I could not be happier with the service I've gotten, the car washes were quick, easy and effective, and I got the windshield wipers for cheaper than I could have gotten them from Autozone or O'Reilly's. Everyone in the store has a constant smile and they are there to help you through every step of the process. read more

Can't give zero stars or I would. Found a promotion on Facebook for MINIMUM $3,000 trade, regardless of the condition of the vehicle. Verified this could be done with a used vehicle. I walked the used lot and found a vehicle I wanted to drive. After the test drive I looked it up on car gurus and started dealing. The young salesman wasn't sure of himself so called in the "manager", Steve. He offered me the car with $750 trade on my vehicle and $2,000 over the price on car gurus. I showed him the ad and he gave me a price $251 less than the add. Since I was keeping my trade vehicle, I agreed and told him I would call the next day after I spoke to my credit union. When I called at 4:30 I was told the car had sold to a wholesaler before the salesman reported for work that day. He offered me several cars that I had already told him were unacceptable and said he would call me if he found something. He called the next day with another unacceptable vehicle. I will never buy a vehicle from this lot. First they baited me with an offer they wouldn't live up to and blamed their "social media group" then they wouldn't find anything comparable, even though they processed to have 7 lots full of vehicles. read more

After purchasing this car in Oklahoma it took over two months to get the title to my car and register it in ca where I live. At first the title "fell behind the desk" and they couldn't find it to mail. Then it "got lost" with ups. After finally getting the title, the dmv sent me back my paperwork because the title was signed by the original owners power of attorney and apparently I have to have proof of that. This has been hell to go through with this dealership. I bought the car in May and now in the middle of July this still isn't resolved. A car buying experience is supposed to be exciting and this has been excruciating. read more

As a car lot... I will never buy a car here. In 2013 I had an awful experience by a sales person who would not address me, just my husband. I also found the same car at a different lot for thousands less. But today while getting my oil changed (which I have no problems with the service dept) I stepped out on the lot alone without my husband who waited in the waiting area... To begin with, I normally have a low starting opinion of car sales. Whether it's the salespeople, finance managers or on down/up the line, there's usually very little good to say about the whole experience. But, with this particular company, it's an entirely different experience. The sales people AREN'T high pressure but they are knowledgeable. They are willing to work with you to find what YOU need not just what they want to sell. I absolutely LOVE the service department. They are very busy but will work with you to try to make your experience a good one. I bought a pre-owned car from this company about 5 years ago and they still treat me just as well as if I were buying a new car today. My experience wasn't at all bad purchasing our car Feb. 2015. But, Free Oil Changes for Life, means absolutely nothing the me. I would have to drive at least 2 hours to drive to Muskogee and waste another couple of hours with oil change, with no complimentary transportation. So what. Lower their prices of their vehicles would be wiser and better than some gimmick about free oil changes. GET THIS ONLY THE OIL IS FREE. ALL OTHER PARTS, FILTERS, FLUIDS, ETC ARE ALL CHARGED FOR. Come on Hodge what a joke. Don't even try to deal with the service department or work with their sales people after you have purchased a car. They are done with their "CUSTOMER SERVICE". Technically. That all they have to sell. Don't Mess with them unless you want to get messed over after you've spent your hard earned money. read more

My car has been there two times in the last few months to fix a recall and part under warranty. Both times it should've taken less than 5 hours once parts arrived. Both times I've been told "oh it should be ready tomorrow afternoon" for 3-4 days in a row. This service department is terrible. They lie about the length of time it will be in there and then when you pick your vehicle up they didn't connect interior things correctly and things start falling off. They are unreliable, slow, and do a poor job putting the interior of your dash and doors back together. From now on I will be making the drive to a ford dealership out of town. read more

Worst experience ever! They refused to lower their price and refused to give me any more for my trade-in than their first offer. I got approved for financing but they wouldn't call me and I had to call over and over. They treated me like a second class citizen and Phil, my salesman, lied about why he couldn't call me back. This went on for five days. I really liked their car that I was trying to buy but I got sick of their crap and am looking elsewhere. They lost my business and the business of my friends forever because they were greedy, lazy, and treated me like filth. I hope they fail and have to close up shop. Treating people bad like they did will eventually get them a bad reputation. To the people who got lucky and had a good experience I say good for you and I wish I could have had one as well. read more
