I should have suspected something wrong when the invoice he gave me was hand written. But I agreed to the charges. And we both signed it. This was in October, 2021. I just got another invoice Saturday, September 22, 2023! Now he's billing me for phone calls and a lien check he did. I paid him $604.20. Now he wants another $575! TWO YEARS LATER! At the least, this is unethical. At most, ILLEGAL.

Attempted to use Mr. Learman as an attorney to get together a family business Buy-Sell agreement,…read moremerger on 2 companies, and also some smaller items to get this all done. Correspondence was extremely slow, taking nearly a full year to get these 2 major points close to done. We then received a bill for $255.88 per hour for about 20 hours of work completed. I thought this was a bit high for what was completed, but agreed to pay it if we would receive documents showing the work was completed. With 3 requests on our part asking for proof of what he claims was completed, as in forms and documents completed, the only thing we got was A SUMMONS FROM A LOCAL OFFICER saying we were being sued by Mr. Learman!!!!! His lack of communication and now he treats us like a criminal instead of a client. Horrible Horrible Horrible to treat clients like a criminal. Apparently likes to be the reason for many of the lawyer jokes many of us have heard over the years!

This attorney handled a case against me by the bank that held my commercial loan. The bank for…read morewhatever reason. A reason that I asked numerous times about and was never given an answer, would only write the loan for a five year balloon payment on a 15 year amortization. This allows the bank to stick you with additional fees and penalties. Numerous times I asked why a longer term could not be given. Then I asked for a different loan officer. The bank instead of granting my request turned it over to this lawyer. As is stated elsewhere, he does drag his feet. Does whatever is necessary to add costs to the case. Also, appears he does not put his client's interest ahead of his own. I was never behind on my payments on the loan. The only issue was that the balloon had matured and they wanted paperwork that I did not have yet and I requested an extension to afford time to get the paperwork. A reputable attorney would have told the bank to simply work with their client, a good client, who was not behind or in default. But this attorney likes dollar signs. So if you need legal advice. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Unless you just want to pay fees for nothing.
