We were being helped by two women. The woman we were mainly speaking with paused mid sentence to see if the person that just came in wanted help. There were other employees to help her. The younger employee with her during our conversation snottily said she only takes 18k jewelry. I guess we looked like we can only afford 10k to her. If you want to sell some gold go to TC pawn they were professional and actually have gold testing tools!! They gave us way more than i expected.

We live a bit far from Amelia island so on one of the few days we had time to make the trip up the store had been closed after a hurricane scare. An employee was present, however, and not only did they agree to let us drop the piece off to have it repaired but they also sent it to my home when finished! For Christmas this year, my husband surprised me with matching pearl necklaces for me and for our newborn baby girl. They are gorgeous pieces for us to treasure. The employee who was working at the time of the incident accused us of breaking the earrings because "gold is malleable" (in an incredibly rude and condescending tone of voice) and said "well I know it was straight when I sold it to you" (when she wasn't who sold us to them the first time). She then took them to the back to bend the post with a pair of pliers, which doesn't really instill confidence in the quality of a piece of fine jewelry. When she brought them back out, it didn't even close the same way as the other earring, but we were told "well I can hear it click". After bringing my fiancé nearly to tears, no one apologized for the experience and we now have a random assortment of other pieces from trying meet the ticket price of the original earrings, since they have an exchange only policy. The owner eventually came out to assist in picking pieces, seemingly unaware of the horrendous experience that just occurred, so hopefully our negative experience was isolated to one bad apple.

I also brought a few pieces of jewelry in to be inspected. There is never a time that I have visited this store when the customer service has not been outstanding. I was given a date as to when the ring would be ready and was told if it was ready sooner they would call me. Before the due date, I had not only received a call, but I think an email also, that my ring was finished and ready for pickup. When I go in to pick up the ring it is ready and perfect. My pandemic chubby fingers from hibernation and Cheeto and chocolate eating were still able to get the ring on. Everyone in the store is masked up and the store is pristine clean and there is sanitizer at the back desk which you are welcomed to have some per the employees. Don't look down in the cases as there are many beautiful things to buy, some new and some estate pieces

We travel all over the country...in small resort towns/communities like this you get one of two experiences 1) they make you feel welcome, like you live there...and it makes you want to live there! Or 2) You are a tourist and we can't be bothered. Two of the employees, a tall older lady...and a younger gal stood in the middle of the clothing section complaining about how crowded the store was, and how they couldn't wait for the sale to be over. Ummmm what? There were four of us shoppers (didn't know one another) all looking at one another like "They can see us right?" Another gal had questions about some art on the wall, and she could not get anyone to help her. I had 10 items to try on, you can only take 5 in...so while I was trying on the first 5, the sales woman kept apologizing to those waiting saying "she has a lot of stuff, so sorry" Sooo I didn't try on the other five. Bought three of the first 5 and felt very rushed. Bottom line I think the locals and their family/friends keep them busy enough, so no need to worry about the tourists. That's the vibe. The sales team needs to be a little more aware that we are in the store for an experience, not because we have nowhere else to shop.
