I had used DDS Fieldstone on a couple of occasions for broken teeth. He had to send me to other dentist for root canals then come back to him for crowns (two in total). Both crowns have had to be removed and are now replaced with implants because the quality of work was well below standard. Neither crown lasted for more than 3 yrs. I had issue after issue with them. Infection in the gums (because food was caught under poorly fitted crown), crowns that fell out and had to be reglued. Not to mention the poor fit within my mouth causing jaw pain. In closing his billing is less than stellar also. Delta Dental has already paid him for the work he performed and he still bills out for other work that was never done. read more

Avoid avoid avoid! Worst dental experience of my life! So I called last year to make an appointment for a teeth cleaning. I said I have not had a cavity in 15 or 20 years, I see the dentist regularly but I am looking for a new one. They scheduled me and said as long as I don't have too many questions they would be able to clean my teeth, but they would evaluate them. So again I said my teeth were fine and I won't ask questions, I just want a teeth cleaning. The person on the phone assured me I would have a cleaning. I waited a couple of months to be able to get in. I came in and said I was here for a cleaning. Dr. Fieldhouse and a hygienist took me back and spent one hour poking every tooth in my mouth and taking around 20 x-rays. These x-rays were nearly as painful as the teeth prodding since they stuck some gigantic piece of plastic in my mouth. After all of that they then told me my mouth looks good. Great, I said, I just need the cleaning. Dr. Fieldhouse then said well there was no one to clean my teeth because they are all busy. I would have to make another appointment. Then he just walked away. Are you kidding me? I've never heard of anything like this in my life. They never had any intention of cleaning my teeth that day. They straight up lied to me to get me to come in to the dentist. Well at that point I wasn't going to find someone else, so I decided to make another appointment to get my teeth actually cleaned. This time I asked multiple times, if they would clean my teeth. Yes, yes they replied. So sure enough when I could finally get in two months later, my teeth were cleaned. That experience went mostly like a normal dentist experience. I followed up 6 months later for another visit. I figured if this went ok and if they didn't attempt another hour long assessment again, I would get over the first awful experience. On this visit after the cleaning they gave me fluoride. Ok, I thought whatever you say. I then get a bill for the fluoride treatment. It wasn't until I looked it up that I realized insurance never covers fluoride for adults. That is specifically what my bill said from Blue Cross Blue shield. Clearly they are trying to milk the insurance companies and patients for all they can. I tried to call to complain three times on different days and it is a message saying they can't accept calls. If this place isn't a scam, it sure feels like it. Go anywhere else! read more

Doesn't tell you 100% percent about what will happen after he refers you to get a root canal on a crowned tooth. I went and got the root canal and the Endo tells me that he put in a temporary filling that will last 4 weeks. That I should go back to Fieldhouse get a permanent filling and get a "new " crown. They are playing musical patient with people. Fieldhouse recommended the root canal instead of pulling the tooth. I now know why. Nice oath he took. read more

We switched to Dr. Fieldhouse after our insurance changed and I couldn't be more impressed. I thought my last dentist was good, but after my first visit with Dr. Fieldhouse I realize that for the past 4 years I was just getting a very standard treatment. There were several things that stood out for me. Before even stepping foot in the office they had three gold stars. First, they require new patients to do a full examination before receiving any services. Second, they mailed me all the enrollment paperwork after I made the appointment which allowed me to fill it out at home and bring it in, which I thought was a nice touch. Next, they sent me a text reminder of my appointment the day before. I know, not exciting, but it showed me they were organized and had a process in place. These might be standard practices at other dentists, but compared to my previous one, it was a big upgrade. At my first appointment several sets of x-rays were taken along with close up digital pics of my teeth. There was a large monitor in front of me, so I could see the x-rays and pictures as they took them, so I felt like I was a participant in the exam, not just the subject. Dr. Fieldhouse came in and gave me the most thorough exam I've ever had from a dentist. He took 6 measurements of gum depth per tooth, felt the fatty tissue around my gums, and who knows what else. At the end, he went over everything with me and answered all my questions. He skipped the technical jargon and used analogies to explain my dental health, which I appreciated. Final verdict, I was extremely impressed with my experience and would recommend Dr. Fieldhouse & staff without pause. They've really got it together and their use of technology makes me feel comfortable that they are on the cutting edge. read more

This is and incredibly professional, yet friendly, dental office. For that reason, I have been a patient for over 20 years. I am impressed by the technology -- in mouth cameras, digital x-rays, and computer display screens (which Dr. Fieldhouse uses to explain the "good and bad" of my teeth). Likewise, I am impressed by Dr. Fieldhouse's expertise and caring. He focuses on both the physical health of my teeth and their cosmetic appearance. While this is a busy office and one is advised to schedule early, there is good reason that Dr. Fieldhouse is busy -- this is a great practice. That said, if you have a problem that needs follow-up care, the office is very accommodating. I am a happy patient. read more

I hate writing negative reviews but if this helps just one person avoid what I went through then it's worth it. I had a cleaning scheduled last week. It's now 5 days later and my gums are still extremely sensitive/raw because of how rough the hygienist was. I complained several times while on the chair - it honestly felt like she was butchering me. She dismissed my claims, saying that some pregnant women (I'm 4 months pregnant) are more sensitive than others (in other words it's my fault) but didn't let up until I became visibly upset. She was even rough while measuring my gums. I asked her to stop for a min because it hurt so much, after which she asked if I'd ever had that done before. Completely rude and condescending! She also refused to so much as move/adjust herself to reach some parts of my teeth and instead asked every 20 seconds or so for me to move my head closer to where she wanted me to be and/or to open my mouth more (my mouth was already opened as wide as it could go!). It's worth saying that in my entire adult life I've had just one cavity, and that my previous dentist/hygienist raved about my oral hygiene. Unfortunately, moving the the burbs meant I had to find a local dentist and is why I went to Dr Fieldhouse. Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

They make you do 2 appts at first. You go in to see the doctor and then come back for a cleaning (which is typically covered 100% by my insurance). When I got done with my cleaning (so second visit), they said I owe $45 because they had to do a deeper clean, which they identified in the 1st visit. They didn't warn me that it was going to be more out of pocket. Slightly annoyed because of the lack of warning, I paid my $45 and went on my way. I just got another bill for another $46. I called and they said that the insurance bill came in and I now owe that additional $46. It isn't that much money, but I don't like that they didn't tell me that prior to the cleaning. Just watch out as they may not warn you about additional costs prior to the appt. I won't be going back. read more
