I'm sympathetic to this day with hippie values of peace, love and the environment. So when I attended my high school reunion and heard a hippie girlfriend had become an accountant, I was surprised. Shocked. She explained the attraction of accounting is that there is rule for everything. It is a closed system. She might not know the rule, but the fact it existed was a comfort. Mr Kenote knows the rules. I am a liberal. Capital L. I believe there are things the central government can do, which the private sector cannot. Certainly I think my government can do better at fiscal responsibility. And marketing themselves better. But for a tax preparer, you want a Republican or even Libertarian. You want someone working for you to pay your fair minimum under the law! If your tax situation is simple, a lessor preparer may be for you. If your tax situation has some complexity, and you want a top notch analyst, at a reasonable price, this is one. He came to me by personal recommendation and I have worked with him for many years. His building is near downtown and has free parking underneath. Two blocks from the streetcar. The office is two accountants and two assistants, keeping expenses under control.
