We solicited estimates from four tree service companies. Of these, Michael Fisher, owner of We Care Tree Care, impressed us the most. He inspected every aspect of the problem tree. He also looked at other trees on our property. Finally, he gave us the most detailed analysis and recommendation. So, we decided to go with We Care Tree Care. We are so glad we did. Michael Fisher and his team arrived on time on January 12, 2026. They did a spectacular job trimming our two elm trees and one maple tree. They went above and beyond what they had quoted us to trim the big maple tree. Finally, they removed all the broken branches and debris and left behind a very clean job site. During the cleanup process, however, some cables connected to our satellite dish were inadvertently knocked off our roof. Michael wasn't aware of this. On discovering it, we asked Michael to come back and put the cables back. Without hesitation, Michael came back, climbed on our roof, and secured the cables to the house. He truly went above and beyond the call of duty to make these cables tight and secure for years to come. In sum, we think Michael and his team did a stellar job with trimming our trees. In late October, we had a roof leak. We got three tree care quotes, and ended up choosing Jesus (the owner of this company), even though his was the highest bid. The main reason was Jesus, who grew up learning from his dad Jose (a long-time tree care crew of a different tree service company). Jesus clearly cared a lot about the trees (e.g., making sure the trimming project would leave the trees healthy), while understanding our needs. So, he suggested changes to some of the limbs and locations of the cut I had envisioned, and explained why. I also liked the fact that he and his dad, along with a few other crew members, would be working on this project. Time line: Originally, I had left a voice mail (Tue), he called back the following day (Wed) to arrange a visit in two days (Fri). On Friday, he gave a verbal quote. I informed him of our decision to go with him the next day (Sat). He emailed a written contract on Monday, and they came early that afternoon to complete the project.
