The practice itself is small, but everyone is welcome and everyone feels like family. You do have to call ahead because Dr. John and all of the doctors here get very busy. When you get to the office, you should expect to wait 15-30 minutes because Dr. John likes to take his time and talk to his patients to make sure they have all the care they need. When you leave the office you will be sure that you were given a full evaluation and that you were well taken care of. I highly recommend this doctor office to anyone. In January, I had pneumonia and needed a new med prescription because the pharmacy was out. I had…read morecalled but was waiting a response, so I decided to go in-person to check in. The front desk lady told me that I should do a check-up appointment and I asked if it would be free. She had my file open and said that my insurance would cover it all. I had not come in to have an appointment, but she scheduled me for the next day. The doctor called in the new prescription that day, so there was no reason to go other than the fact that the front desk lady told me it would be free. I come in the next day for the check-up. The doctor and the nurse ask me why I came. She was confused, but I explained the front desk lady said it was free. The doctor said I was healing fine, but that I needed the prescription (which I hadn't been able to take since my diagnosis). Then, after my insurance was charged, they barely covered anything! I sent in a message through the portal about why it wasn't free with my insurance like I was told. I received a message back saying that I shouldn't trust the front desk people to tell me how much I will be paying and, that because it was already submitted to the insurance, that they will not be reimbursing me. I will NOT be returning here again. If I cannot trust your staff's word, how can I trust your practice?

I am glad I will no longer be going to this God awful practice.

The secretarial staff is just abysmal to the point where I have to call 3 times for the same refill because some idiots in the office continuously forget to refill it right after you call. They are completely unqualified and untrained for their jobs and literally don't care if they do a good job. Last time I physically came to the office I waited an extra 45 minutes to be seen because they FORGOT to put my folder in the pile of people to be seen, so 4 people who had later appointments than me got seen first. If you want your health in jeopardy because of an unqualified staff go to doctor's care associates.
