It would've been nice if they would have warned me that the pharmacy was closing in a few minutes... guess that's not in their system. Visit was efficient and now that we did the paperwork, will be back here anytime we need to do some simple tests for flu or strep or covid. A few years ago during the height of covid, they ran out of tests. So had to go elsewhere. Today, no issues.

Overall, I feel that if a primary physician runs your yearly tests, interprets them correctly and is competent in record keeping, referrals and listening to the patients concerns, that's good enough for me . This is by FAR the worst doctor I have EVER been to in my whole life. He referred me to a few doctors for a few extra tests. Nothing serious. He NEVER got back to me as far as the results of those tests. I had to go back to his office TWICE because when I asked for a cologuard test, he said "you'll receive the kit in the mail". I never did. I called Cologard and they asked me if I ever signed a Cologuard form at the doctor's office. I said no. They said he was supposed to have me sign a form. SO another Uber ride and more waste of time and money. I went there, signed the form and went home. THEN, after a month or so, I called Cologard and asked for my results. They stated that only my doctor could give me the results. I called his office NINE TIMES to leave messages with his NASTY, RUDE and MEAN secretaries and they said they would tell him to get back to me. STILL haven't heard from him. ALSO, when he sent me for my blood work, I told him that I always did a Vitamin D test every year with all my other doctors. He gave me a condescnding look and said I don't need that. I said I want it. SO, I go the the lab to get my blood and urine work done. Got the results and NO Vitamin D test. He said I don't need it. I only went to this doctor once. From day one, he was condescending and arroant. That started the moment I got there and he asked me if I had my COVID and Flu shots. I told him that I do not take any vaccines EVER. That is my choice. I said it nicely. His response was "WELL, I CAN SEE THIS IS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM". Hid whole demeanor changed and everything since then has been a horrible experience. He made things IMPOSSIBLE from that point on. Getting medical records, results, blood tests, Cologuard. He just will not respond. In my honest opinion, he told he secrertaries to be nasty to me when I call. That would be the thing to do if you do not want to see a patient again. I only saw him once and it has been a disaster. ALSO, he is NOT a very intelligent doctor. Then my girlfriend saw him on her own a week or two after me. We switched to him because we both moved to an area in NYC far from our previous and WONDERFUL Primary Physician. So, SHE went to him and he went on and on to her about MY personal health issues, our incompatibility as far as doctor to patient chemistry. He told her that he sent me to a cardiologist ( I went to one that I picked and he was pissed. Fortunately all those tests were fine.). When I saw him, he gave me an echocardiogram and told me I had valve damage and wanted to send me to HIS cardiologist. The reviews of the one he referred me to sucked, so I did a lot of research and found my own. .So, I went to the BEST Cardiologist in NYC who specializes in HEART VALVE DAMAGE, VALVE REPLACEMEMT AND VALVE REPAIR. This saint of a doctor showed me the results of HIS Echocardigram and the one that this HORRIBLE doctor sent him and showed me how badly the test was done and how innacurate it was. NOW, GET THIS. My GF went to him for a reaction to a medication he put her on for her Blood Pressure meds. HE said her aches, pains, weakness etc had NOTHING to do with her BP meds. DURING that visit, he told her everything about MY medical history, the cardiologist I went to and everything else under the sun about me. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS? DID HE EVER HEAR ABOUT DOCTOR/PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY? I NEVER told my GF that this moron said I had a bad heart valve (which I do not). My GF is a retired REGISTERED NURSE and she is a WORRIER. She came home from her visit YELLING at me and DEMANDING for an explanation as to why I didn't tell her about my supposed heart condition. That is MY choice. I didn't want her to worry until I saw a top notch heart surgeon who specializes in HEART VALVE SURGERY and DIAGNOSIS. SO, there is NOTHING wrong with my heart. But THIS moron of a doctor told my GF during HER visit and she went ballistic on me. Just take it from me, this doctor in my opinion and experience with doctors my whole life, is not only a bad doctor in terms of diagnosing and treating patients. He is an arrogant moron who, if you say you don't want vaccines, turns on you like a wild animal. His office staff is HORRIBLE except for ONE wonderful woman named CECILIA. She is just perfect. The other two , one name Mary and the other I think is Muriel, were RUDE as hell, never passed on my messages to him (or he ignored them) and hung up on me each and every time they heard my voice. STEER CLEAR. He is not very intellient,, he is VERY opinionated and NOT open to ANY questions anout his treatment or diagnosis, he is EXTREMELY arrogant, he is incompetant and his staff sucks.

I remember once coming in to see Dr. Hentek with a chest and sinus infection. She saw me, gave me a perscription and left the office. When she came back in the exam room, she noticed I was in pain and couldn't stand. She asked me about it and wrote me a perscription for that as well. . Dr. Hentek saw that I was in pain and treated me for that distress. I'm thankful for her genuine concern. I realized that it didn't occur to me to ask her about anything for my back because I'd been told that the pain would pass by another physician and that I should just take Alieve. I'm a person of color and as such, I've experienced doctors who are hesitant to perscribe pain medication so I subconsiously didn't ask even though I was in the doctor's office. I have changed general physicians though. I had a visit with Dr. Hentek after I'd lost a significant amount of weight 30+ lbs. Dr. Hentek made a comment to me about making an effort to loose more. I shared my regiment and told her about the results I'd had in the previous months and instead of suggesting alternate options she just told me about the negative effects of excess weight and told me to loose more. Of course I have some idea of the negative effects of excess weight otherwise I wouldn't have embarked on the effort I did to loose the weight I had. Physically the doctor is larger than I am so I felt she should be a little more sensitive and construct in offering feedback on weightloss. I was pretty insulted so I'm no longer seeing Dr. Hentek. I had machines used on me which seemed unnecessary. Not one nurse or doctor explained in depth why it was necessary to have all these machines used on me. It's like they set up an assembly line of doctors and machines for you to see during your visit. You go from one room to another and not one person gives you real personal attention. And the front desk clerks are terrible. They never seem to want to really help you. Health care in the United States is disgusting.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. But if you want the short version, I do not trust their front office. They are incapable of managing appointments correctly and information. Their computer system always has a tendency to go down. Also, they confirmed my SOCIAL SECURITY info by reading it to me WITHOUT asking me to confirming the last 4 digits. Medical offices need to ask the patient for the last four confirm. NOT read it out on the phone!!! Very unprofessional and very risky for identity theft!!! Anyways, I originally made an appointment to see Dr. Ring. Went through all the steps on the phone to provide background info, insurance, etc in order to get the appointment. Great! A few days later, I received a packet in the mail to fill out. Awesome! This should save me time the day of the appointment. The day after that, I get a call the front desk receptionist saying that my ORIGINAL appointment date is no longer available, however, I could come at a NEW date to see the other doctor. That's fine. The next day, I get a call AGAIN from the same front desk receptionist saying "something" had happened to their computer system and they needed to get all my info again. This was odd. But, ok. I spend another 30 minutes providing the SAME information again. Then she said that my appointment was for the ORIGINAL date. And, I said that she just called me yesterday to change my appointment to the NEW date. Oh, on top of that, she asked if I was on "Medicare." I had gone through all my information, so I'm not sure where she got that fact from. The week of my appointment, I get yet again ANOTHER call from the same front desk receptionist. This time, she needed to confirm my Social Security number, so she read it to me. No medical professional does that over the phone. On top of that, she asked if my appointment was to come in for a circumcision. Seriously, WTF. I don't know how that even got into their system. At this point, I said forget it. Cancel my appointment, you don't need my information (as the computer system seems to go down often and you read out my info freely on the phone instead of asking for confirmation) and if I do see the doctor, I may not even get the service that I needed. DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION.
