Don't believe they are accepting new patients. As I'm new to the area, I called to make an initial appointment. Phone rang and rang when finally a voice mail picked up. I left a message explaining my situation and asked for a call back. Two hours later, I called back and finally got to speak to someone. When I said I left a message but have not received a call back and was wondering if the office was open since it was a Friday afternoon. She responded that the office is open but they have been very busy. (As one who deals with the public on a daily basis, I don't care that you're busy. We all are. It is not a reason and a very poor excuse at that. Just apologize and ask what can I do for you?). When making an appointment she said for new patients the first appointment would be about 3 to 4 weeks. I said that was fine. She proceeded to take my information and when I said I'd like something first thing in the morning since I would not be able to eat for the blood test. She said that if I wanted a physical, an appointment would not be available for two or three months! I have not had to have a new doctor in 20 years and I always assumed the first appointment was a physical. Am I wrong? What is the purpose of a "first" appointment WITHOUT it being a physical??? Are we just going to talk over coffee and get to know each other? Then maybe decide if this is a relationship worth pursuing?? All the while billing my insurance, (for what I ask)?? WTH? The practice has such good care with Dr Morrow and Dr Patrick, however... to be sick and need a physician... NOT the practice for you. 2 weeks min to see a dr if your sick... they refer you to a non emergency...from the appointment phone line actually for the third time today, over a period of months... had a young lady appointment representative HANG-UP on me. BECAUSE I was clarifying that they are not seeing sick patients. truly cannot recommend this practice. if someone from Village Medicine would call me back... I would love to elaborate on thsee repeated occurrences With posting while waiting on the office manager to return to the phone.... now she heard my entire store\y,.. was very nice...understanding, and she placed me on hold. she came back and said.... The doctor spent less than five minutes with me and didn't have time to answer my questions. Front desk was rude and two pulled down their masks when talking. Doctor Morrow was a great man and is truly missed. They need to change the name to Village Medical now, because the service they give does not need to be associated with Dr. Morrow's name. There is absolutely zero communication between anyone in the office. Oh and if you need something on Friday, forget it because the only person who can sign off on anything doesn't work Fridays! I don't recommend this practice, but I think you can get decent medical care here. YMMV. My experience as a diabetic was not satisfactory. My previous experience with primary care physicians was from the left coast. Seattle, WA, Sunnyvale, CA, and Las Vegas NV. ALL of the primary care physicians on the west coast operated the same way. I would go to the office and get a lab slip or the doctor would give me one for my next visit with all the required tests checked off. I would get the labs done about a week before my next appointment. At the appointment I would sit down with the doctor and go over the results and talk about next steps. At this practice you get labs on the day you see them. The labs are drawn in THEIR office by THEIR people. Their in house phlebotomist took multiple jabs to find a vein and left me with a large bruise on my arm. Then to add insult to injury, they will only call you with the results if something is out of line. What I think happens is that an assistant looks at the lab results to see if any are flagged as high or low. Those are probably referred to the nurse practitioner. I don't think the doctor actually looks at the results or even cares. I have 4 maintenance prescriptions that I have been using at the same level for about 15 years. ALL of the primary care physicians on the west coast would give me 2 or 3 renewals with my prescriptions. I had been getting decent results. This office didn't seem to care about that. It was like I had to start all over again. When I first went to the Morrow practice I saw a nurse practitioner I thought she was the doctor and no one in the office bothered to explain who I was seeing and what their process was. No one set me up for a follow up visit and I had to call and make my own appointment. My prescriptions expired before the next appointment and I had assumed they put renewals in for me. I had to call and argue with people in the office to get a renewal. They only gave me a 30 day renewal. This was stressful and unneeded. Right or wrong my impression was this practice is out to milk every dollar they can from their patients. I could not trust a doctor like this. If they push me to take a test or do some other thing in their office I have to think they are just trying to generate more money for the practice. If you don't do what they say they will not give you your maintenance prescriptions. This is a horrible feeling and I just don't need the stress and grief at my age. One other thing bothered me on my first visit. They weigh you when you first go in for consultation. The assistant told me to take off my coat and shoes. There was no place to put my coat and no one offered to hold it for me. I had to put it on the floor. I am a little old and stiff. I need to sit down to take off my shoes. I had to ask for a chair. I have only been to this office once. The experience was pleasant/professional. The issues comes to light down the road when billing occurs. I had a simple preventative annual visit. Now several months later I am receiving a bill for nearly $1000. Ultimately the Healthshare I was a member of didn't cover the annual visit. That's a separate issue, but now that I am dealing with Village medical directly they don't seem to want to offer any discounts to get these charges to something fair/reasonable. The bill is all over the place. I am being charged for 2 separate office visits even though I was only there once. Their reasoning is because something was discussed outside of the normal physical. The only thing was I was asked if anything was bothering me, I said my foot (plantar fasciitis) she said ok we will give you a referral to a physical therapist. Boom, just doing that cost me an additional $300. Also, please don't respond to this review with the generic response I see on the other reviews. The response they are giving includes a telephone number and that they would like to help resolve the issue. This number is a 3rd party billing company in South America (I know because the rep told me). This rep also could not help with the issue. He submitted a question to the practice over a month ago and I have yet to hear back from them. I had to reach out directly to the office which still doesn't seem to be getting me any help. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. It is extremely discouraging to see a medical practice take advantage of people like this. Been going for years. Adequate service. My experience is that if there is an issue Dr Morrow simply refers you to a specialist. Even for minor stuff. Recently, left a message on 11/24 - no call back. Then again on 12/4 no call back as of 12/8. Simple request of getting a maintenance med refilled. Will be switching DRs. Won't be seeing Morrow tomorrow, or the next day, etc. read more

Just got threatened with a call to defacs because my kids have not had shots since the age of 9mths old, they are now 14 and 16, went in for a simple physical for school sports, this is totally wrong, we don't take flu shots or mmr or anything else, which is our right. Dr Morrow is amazing always there to lend a helping hand. His bedside manor is top notch and he truly cares for people. I was reading in the waiting room one day that they put the care back in healthcare. That's is so true I have been to other doctors in the past and waited hours in the waiting room only to wait again in the back room And then to only see a doctor for a quick minute. Not the case at Morrow family medicine. Dr. Morrow is very attentive and spend the time to make sure he address the concerns I came in with. I have also seen Morrow family medicine out in the community making a huge difference this tells me they truly care about people. When was the last time you saw a doctor on his day off helping kids in the county? Unheard of now a days but Dr. Morrow is the expectation. Have been a patient since moving here in 2015. My entire family, including Aunts/Uncles/Cousins as well as family friends all go here - one family member's insurance gave a list and she just randomly picked their name, now everyone goes based on the recommendation. I trust my life in their hands! I see Jamie, Dr Morrow's PA. She is fantastic! Listens to all of my concerns, educates and advocates for me. I have had a bizarre set of symptoms for years and together we have been working to get a diagnosis. I felt like I was losing my mind, but Jamie (and the rest of the staff) have been amazing at ruling out stuff, getting me to specialists and not treating me like a hypochondriac. I thought I was going to end up a lost cause after losing my previous Dr when I moved out of state, but what I found at Morrow Fam Med has far exceeded my hopes and expectations! They have walk-in hours first thing in the morning, it never takes more than a week or two to see one of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practioners for a regular appointment (Dr Morrow takes a little longer but not much) and for a "sick" appointment they can usually work you in same day or next day. Front staff and nursing staff are great. You won't find a bettter family medical practice in the Cumming/Forsyth County area read more

My husband and I are new patients to this practice. I love this office. The welcoming staff is really nice. Check in is done on an iPad (as well as payment)! I waited about five minutes before being called in. The nurse went through medical history after taking vitals. Dr. Kindregan was excellent. Very polite and thorough. I had a lot of concerns and they were all addressed. Suggestions for supplements were also explained. He also told me the reasoning behind all lab work he wanted. I highly appreciated all this because I've seen doctors that don't even look at my file before walking in or feel patient consent to treatment is important. Dr. Kindregan didn't rush the visit and he made all questions were answered. I highly recommend Dr. Kindregan for anyone looking for a PCP. read more

The worst. Dr. Morrow does not treat his staff well. One employee actually vented to me (the patient) about him. Years ago when I left without a receipt, I called upon returning home-the office manager said we don't give out receipts. I ask to speak to Dr. Morrow, he called back & reiterated the same message & said if I was unhappy with that, to find a new doctor. Dr. Morrow and his staff take a personal interest on the needs of their patients and see that each receives proper medical care. We recently transferred my wife's care to the practice because we did not get the same from her previous doctor. I began seeing Doctor Morrow in the late 1990's, and always appreciated the "human" aspect of his practice. During that time, never once did I leave his office and feel like just another patient number. I always had great care, and no problems getting an appointment, or using the walk-in hours. Needless to say, as soon as I heard about his new practice, I started going there. My experience has been even better at Morrow Family Medicine in Cumming, GA. It's a smaller practice so the personal attention you get from him or his PA, Jaime Kutter is fantastic. The only aspect I was concerned about was the size of the practice, and hence the hours of operation. For instance, they close for lunch and they are closed weekends and evenings. However, this has not been a problem at all, as the one time I've had to call him after hours, I had no problem getting the help and answers I needed. Hey, I realized that if I have anything that urgent when they are closed, I'd go to the emergency room anyway, not the office. It's also nice to know the staff has a private life as well, and so when they are working, they seem glad to be there, and not overworked, annoyed easily, etc. In short, I don't post too many reviews, but when I do, I am passionate about what I am saying. I'm blown away at how rudely I was treated by the office staff here! After waiting 4 .5 months to get in for a physical, they called me three weeks before and left me a voicemail they needed to "talk to me about changing the location of my appointment." The message slipped my mind because I was so busy that day and by the time I received it the office was closed. A week later I got what appeared to be a cheerful reminder in my phone email of our appointment time and date. "We are looking forward to seeing you 2/22 at 10am. If you have any questions please call..." I remembered the voicemail, but looked at the email to see if there was any mention of location change, but did not see one. I assumed they had worked the appointment out. I received several other email reminders as the appointment got closer and even a text message the day before that I confirmed. 30 minutes before my appointment, I got a text reminder that prominently displayed a different location than I had made an appointment for.(Why wouldn't they have just displayed that on the reminder the day before?) I called to speak with them and as soon as I told them about the reminder the lady just started barking at me that they had called on Jan 30 and left me a message. I explained, I had never spoken with anyone and had seen the reminders that had not mentioned a location change, she just kept repeating herself that they had left me a voicemail, she put me on hold and another lady got on the line asking me if I could make it to the appointment or did I want to reschedule? I could not make it to the other location in 30 minutes and started telling her I was really surprised it was changed without even speaking to me and that this was frustrating and she didn't like that so she started loudly saying,"ma'am! ma'am! ma'am! over me while I was talking! I told her not to speak over me while I was talking and that it was rude. She then said," I am going to hang up the phone now and you can call back and reschedule when you are ready!" I don't expect a doctor's office to be an exemplary example of customer service, but this was unbelievable! Of course, I went home and went back through my voicemail and email messages from them and although they didn't give a location in the voicemail, apparently you have to scroll down to the bottom of the email reminders, past the options they give you that you don't need to see the location, which was different, but how would I intuitively know to do that? I just couldn't believe in speaking with 2 people at that office, not one had any ounce of common courtesy or concern. Just rude and disrespectful. It had been 3 weeks. Why didn't they call back at least 1 more time? I emailed the office about what had happened and have never heard anything back, so apparently they felt it was appropriate behavior for their staff. I say all this because we were trying out this doctor because it was rated highly and when I was there the one prior time, they shoved a tablet in my hand and had me fill out all my info on it and I had to download an app to get my test results..the front desk staff only said about 10 words to me the whole time. Just seems maybe they are getting too busy and too dependent on computers/apps and can't keep up so they just implicitly trust their system and not the patient, which to be in a field where you are suppose to care about people seems really backwards. I've worked in wireless tech support for many years, so by no means am I computer incompetent. If they are they going to be so dependent on apps and email then they need to improve the format so that pertinent changes can be identified more easily. Luckily we live in Atlanta and doctors are a dime a dozen, but the fact that I wasted 4 months to be treated that way is what is so disappointing. read more

Dr Morrow literally saved my life. I had several previously diagnosed medical issues that went uncorrected with various previous treatments. Dr Morrow listened to everything I had to say and answered all of my questions openly and honestly, regardless of what the answers were. There was no pussyfooting around. His work with me had gotten me to a point where I'm healthier than I've been in years. I'm no longer afraid won't be around for my daughter's graduation. I recommend him to everyone. read more

My mother had chosen Dr Morrow as her doctor several years ago, and he cared for her until she had to be moved to assisted living as a Dementia/Alzheimer's patient. Because of the time Dr Morrow took with her and was so very patient and caring, I began seeing him as my primary care doctor as well. Not only is he a great doctor, he has a fun sense of humor and can make you feel better just by knowing he really does care about his patients. I recommend him to my friend, family and clients every chance I get. I've also visited the new office in Alpharetta, and the doctor and staff there are awesome as well. Since switching several years ago from NAPC, another local practice, where they had no problem switching me to different providers on their staff without my consent, I switched to Dr. Morrow. The entire practice has always been terrific in every way. I have read several negative reviews on this site and truly don't believe the accuracy. If things were so much better on the Left Coast they should return there and stay. I have never had a problem in getting an appointment or a prescription refill for that matter. This is a GREAT practice that cares and listens to your concerns. You will be happy that you made Morrow Family Medicine your Family Practice. Outstanding office staff! This practice is fabulous....The wait time has never been more than 15 minuets and the process when you arrive is all digital. At check-in you are given an Ipad you verfiy and pay for your visit electronicly thus total privacy. They listen to you and really care about your total well being. My total visit time has never been more than 45-60 mins from time of arrival. The staff quickly responds to all phone calls. I highly recommend Dr. James Morrow. read more

I WAS a new patient at this office. I have to say being a medical professional myself, I cannot believe how hard it is to get in touch with a person at this office. Always put on hold (10 minutes) if I even get that far. They do not want you to contact them. They open at 7:30 but don't answer phones.... then u call at 8:00 they still don't answer (recording) still on or they put you on hold. I've been chasing this office for over a month to get information on there portal and still no luck. Who has time for this? Not me! They are understaffed and don't care. I read a review about this early with the same type of issues but decided to go ahead and try them. Big mistake! Don't waste your time with this office! read more

Just had my annual physical. Last year I saw Dr McGowan and it was good. This year I saw the nurse practitioner Jessica and it was the worst experience ever. She kept me waiting in the room for 30 minutes and then did not even have my file reviewed when she came in. Zero personality and zero interest in my health. I will be leaving Morrow and searching for a new physician. I've been going here since 2012 and over the years as they have expanded, the service and quality has gone beyond down hill. Starting from the moment you arrive, most of the time the people up front barely acknowledge you. No greeting, just here and sit down. I know it's busy but simple smiles and human courtesy go a long ways. The nurses have complained to me multiple times that it's too busy and at one visit I actually had a nurse break down crying while she was asking me questions. Odd behavior. Once after paying my bill I got another bill in the mail for 5 dollars. I know it was just 5 bucks but I paid my bill and there was no explanation as to why they were charging me. The drs aren't incredibly friendly, once had one of them grab my cell phone and toss it. Mind you I just had it in my hand, wasn't using it. Boiling it down, it seems more like they are upset you're even here. That's too bad. Oh, and plan on waiting for at least an hour in the exam room. I once fell asleep waiting. I've been jerked around with my med refills multiple times leaving me stressed. In the end, drs are a dime a dozen, some are good, some aren't. Maybe your experience will be better. I am new to Georgia and switched to Morrow after a bad experience with another local practice. Apparently this is what I can expect with health care providers in Ga. I have been on HRT for almost 18 years and have never had a doctor treat me with such little respect. I had my annual physical in Feb 2019 with a full blood panel. All of my blood work came back looking very well, even acknowledged by the Dr I saw today. However, after knowing I have been on this treatment for as long as I have I was accused of faking my symptoms for low Testosterone. At the point I felt offended I got up to leave but was stopped by this doctor and told he'd write my prescription. Then he continued to argue my symptoms so I got up to leave again. He again stopped me, wrote the prescription and apologized for his unprofessional behavior. Yet he then wrote in my medical notes (as viewed in my patient online portal) that I "got in his face" which was a bold lie on his part. And stated that regardless he wrote the prescription. My experience with the nurse from Milton was top notch (she apparently has left this practice) however this doctor has a terrible bedside manner and has no issues being offensive and calling his patients liars. I have messaged Dr. Marrow looking for remediation to this and if done so to my satisfaction I will change my rating. However my opinion of the doctor I saw today will never change. read more

Today I called Morrow Family Medicine to maybe get some results on having them call in a Rx for the needles for the insulin pens I use. I had previously called in over a month ago to get this done and left a msg on the nurse's line voice mail. After a lengthy hold with whomever answered my call and having to wait for the nurse herself to get on the phone to better understand my problem, I was met with an over sensitive, holier than thou, "nurse". She proceeded to call me a jerk 5-6 times because I used the word "Hell" in the context of "I would have assumed any medical professional would understand that when writing an Rx for the pens, the needles would be also included; how the Hell else would I get the medicine into my body"? This prompted her to tell me to stop cussing her and acting like a jerk. More so, at every inflection of my irritation at how this was being handled and the fact that it had been over a month to get this done, I was called a jerk for my "Tone". I will now begin the process of finding a new PCP as this one definitely isn't working out and this "nurse" needs to understand that she exists for the patients, not the other way around.
