We were resigned to beginning the process of replacing all of his documents and cancelling his accounts, but the next day we received a call from the Doyle Brothers contractors saying they'd found the wallet! What's more, they went out of their way to have someone bring it to our address and return it by hand. The man who returned it and refused any monetary reward exemplifies what everyone is looking for in a landscaping and construction company: integrity while going above and beyond. After we got our items, we confirmed the start date. Stephen and Michael arrived promptly on the day work was scheduled to begin and demoed the bathroom. They arrived every morning at the same time and worked a full day and I'm not sure they even took breaks. They completely cleaned up at the end of each day and sectioned off the work area to minimize the dust throughout the house. The bathroom remodel was expertly performed and came out exactly as we had envisioned. I highly recommend Katamount Construction. We had a leak behind our shower (master bedroom) that damaged the floor below and the ceiling in…read morethe dining room on the ground floor. This needed the entire shower taken out to have the leak repaired and built back up. Paramount came recommended by Gold Medal (plumbing company) who assessed the damage and recommended the repairs. Paramount initially sounded positive based on reviews however our experience was far from positive. Horribly rebuilt shower with (see images) 1. poor wall finish, causing the door to never be closed fully due to the curved wall 2. Damaged window siding and never repaired correctly (had to call them back twice to refinish it and even then it still looks terrible) 3. Poorly finished corners that are terrible to look at 4. Sharp jagged corners at the bottom of the shower stall near the door 5. Worst part is the shower floor that is beyond incorrectly graded causing pools of water to never fully drain. 6. Another part we can't verify but are certain is the case, is a p-trap was definitely not installed under the drain, which means we have foul sewer odors coming in quite often, and other than ripping out the bottom and repairing/rebuilding it again, we don't have a solution. When pushed about all this terrible work done, their excuse "we were rushed". They disappeared for days on end in between the renovation without clear indication of when they'd be back to complete the work. Hence us pushing to get this finished. Even years after this work was done (Sept 2023) we are constantly reminded of this abysmal work (in case you were wondering why I'm leaving this review now), and would never recommend these folks.

We were very impressed with their project management from beginning to end of what turned out to become a 6 month project. In working with Baxter, we were additionally comforted by the dedicated staff carpenters that had been with the company for many years. As the weeks and months progressed, Baxter were able to diagnose problems and perform remediations responsibly. We were kept up to date with frequent progress reports from the project manager, and grew to admire the carpenters who explained the details to us along the way. ( my kids cut their feet on the exposed metal he left on the floor ) The work he did do had to be redone by the new contractor (for the most part) so it would pass inspection. The one thing he included in his price that we didn't have to pick up and pay for was a bathroom window that didn't pass inspection and came without a screen. We paid for all the materials and 95% of his labor. He took off with our money and never made good on it. He took us for a lot of money. The first project, several years ago, involved painting multiple interior rooms and crown molding. Most recently, I hired them to paint three new structural porch columns and my front door. While that may sound like a straightforward job, it really wasn't. Black structural columns are not something you see every day, so preparation, product selection, and attention to detail were critical to getting the look I wanted and ensuring the finish would hold up to the elements. Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. What really stood out was the follow-up. Both Bob and Ron checked in independently after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. They also made it clear that if any issues came up, they would come back and make it right. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish.
