His skill sets are immense and comprehensive. By absolutely no stretch of the imagination, my wife had a major issue that we came in with, and right from the first consultation Dr. Wasilewski put us at ease with his personality and demeanor, all doctors would be truly fortunate if they possessed even a fraction of what Dr. Wasilewski possesses in terms of soft skills and true ability. On a small side note, I had a highly impacted wisdom tooth that really started bothering me and because we had met Dr. Wasilewski through my wife's case I scheduled an appointment for my wisdom tooth extraction even though my tooth was highly impacted Dr. Wasilewski did an exceptional job with it. Most dentists use titanium in your gums and them top it with a ceramic crown. Instead, I wanted all ceramic. I didn't want any more metal in my mouth. Dr. Jung is prepared to do this for me. I'm ecstatic that we made an appointment to get my work started. In addition to being knowledgeable, Dr. Jung has a very kind and caring demeanor. I think he is Ann Arbor's best-kept secret. Eun-Young was difficult for me to understand while over the phone. That was probably my 'old' ears. In the office, she was delightful and very helpful. Eun-Young is obviously very knowledgeable regarding dentistry and an asset to the office. I had a truly awful experience getting my wisdom teeth removed here. I believe I was not sedated…read moreenough and started coming to consciousness. I threw up in the middle of surgery so Dr. Fernandez had to stop and send me to the ER in case the vomit got into my lungs and I got aspiration pneumonia. While that was scary, what made the experience awful was the way I was treated by staff. They accused me of eating before surgery and tried to shift all blame to me to explain why I threw up during surgery even though I made sure to follow all instructions prior. The staff here refused to listen to me or treat me humanely- instead I had a nurse call me on my way to the ER and berate me, saying that I "clearly could not follow simple instructions". On top of that, in the mail, I get an ER bill for $1150 and am expected to pay out of pocket for this. With the unsuccessful surgery (only able to take out 1 of the 3 wisdom teeth) and their direct referral to a specific ER hospitaI, I had expected that they would have covered it. I had a horrible experience here and I really do not recommend this place.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Fernandez of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Ann Arbor and I had the best experience possible. The office staff was courteous and the dental assistants kept me apprised of the extraction procedure and made sure I knew how to care for the site of my surgery before I left for home. Dr. Fernandez made sure I received enough anesthetic and the extraction was relatively quick and pain free. He advised me to start taking ibuprofin as soon as I got home, before the anesthetic wore off. I stopped the ibuprofin after 24 hours and haven't experienced any pain at any time either pre or post surgery.
