Absolutely wonderful. If you like Irish Whiskey, this place is a must and recommend the "private tasting." It's four distillery exclusive whiskeys in the back (in what used to be John Jameson's office). I did buy a couple of those tasty whiskeys. I can't remember the name of the guy who led the tour but I think it was Marc, he was wonderful. I would do it again, even with the same whiskeys. You can take tours or have flights, or even a beer. There's different types of tasting experiences (we did one at the Middleton distillery which was more of an introduction to Jameson whiskeys). If you're like me and want to get a bottle or two that you can get in the states and you like the Spots, Red Breast, Method and Madness or regular Jameson, this place is an absolute must visit.
This was my favorite activity while in Dublin. We paid for a whisky tasting and were guided to a small room in which we learned the way the whiskey is made and the history of the distillery. Tried 4 whiskeys made by Jameson. The bar outside has the most delicious menu for cocktails. Be careful in the gift shop because you'll want to buy everything. We walked away with 3 bottles of Red Breast whiskey that cannot be bought in the US. Also purchased a beautiful warm jacket.
I'm not a whiskey drinker but this place really surprised me, starting with our welcome drink. I chose the Jameson Lemonade and couldn't taste the whiskey at all thankfully. The exhibits were interesting and I loved the design. The whiskey tasting itself wasn't too much and I did enjoy the Black Label. But what made the tour the most enjoyable was definitely Niall who cracked us up the entire time.
First time at this distllery and it was an amazjng experience. We did the secret tasting which was really awesome. Our moderator Leah was fantastic. I learned so much about the history of irish whiskey and jameson. The staff throughout were great. Its a place where yoh can come solo or in groups and have a great experience.
When planning our Ireland trip, there was a short list of absolute must visits and Jameson Distillery in Dublin was top of that list! As much as Jameson is synonymous with Dublin, you would think they take up several blocks of downtown space...however, this distillery is tucked away on Bow Street in the Smithfield area of the city. It is a little hike on foot from city centre, but on a good day, it is a nice walk that is well worth the reward! The distillery is absolutely gorgeous. The outside if classic Irish infrastructure, then you walk inside and are transported into a modern, rustic, elevated and exciting space dedicated to all things Jameson! We purchased tickets for our guided tour and tasting ahead of time, and I highly recommend you doing the same. Our tour started with a quick introduction to things, then up the stairs we went to the Daily Grog where we got to choose our cocktail, and of course, I went with the Jameson Ginger! From there the tour started where we got to see the inner working of the process, including the ingredients along with a sensory station for tastes, smells, etc...The final tasting allowed us to sample a few different varieties of Jameson, including one that was only available on site. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! After the tour, we wandered directly into the gift shop where we of course picked up a few pieces of swag. Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out. Overall, Jameson Distillery was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Dublin, and I highly recommend it!
One can't go to Dublin and not stop at Jameson. This was a wonderful experience. Booked a regular tasting and a cask draw. Let me start with this... you get a drink while you wait for your tour/tasting to start! From now on, I want all my tours to start this way! Ha. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and walked us through the Irish Whisky making process while ultimately leading us to the tasting room. We then moved onto the cask draw, where we had a private experience talking about the barrel aging process in a very cool (literally cool) aging room and had the chance to taste a sample of whisky straight from the barrel. As if that tour wasn't enough, we then grabbed a drink at their bar before wrapping up and heading out for a much needed late lunch. Please please please don't drink and drive. The initial tasting alone is enough to put you over the limit.
Visited the Jameson Distillery! It was really nice! They have a restaurant that you can get some good food at across the way before your tour (that isn't affiliated). Once you enter, you will find a lobby and a cool bar! They have signature cocktails and you can of course get the whiskey poured straight up. Gift shop is also located in the central area, lots of fun items and bottles! I got a T-shirt and a Red Breast 21 ;) We did the Secret Whiskey tasting, not a full tour. I decided to do this because the normal tour did only included a tasting of some normal Jamesons. I mainly wanted to try some unique whiskeys! The tasting was pretty quick, about 45 min. But you did get to go into the "private office" and try 4 different Jameson branded premium whiskeys. You had an employee guide you through the tasting which was super cool. It was pretty private, since there were only about 8 people in the tour! If you are mainly concerned about the whiskey, I would recommend to do the Secret Tasting! We also hit the bar after the tour to hangout and try some of the signature cocktails!
The *secret* whisky tour was amazing. James... my only suggestion is that you need to bring your energy and enthusiasm up a notch, sheesh! The great thing about the secret tasting is that it is intimate and away from the plebs in the general public. Heathens! The amount of time dedicated to a flight of whiskys is just about right. James went through everything with perfect pace and detail, really great. You get to taste exclusive whiskys, available only at this location. Afterwards, I stuck around with my new alcoholic friends and sipped on drinks in the main bar area until it was time for the (add-on) cask pull. This had quite a number of guests, but Niell handled it like a boss. For the love of god, no flash photography!!! To be honest, I haven't traditionally been the biggest fan of Jameson, but this visit was entertaining from start to finish, and I realize now the rest of their product line is nothing to scoff at. Would recommend an elevated experience to get the most from this distillery.
When in Dublin you need to do Jameson! It's my go to drink with ginger ale and to drink exclusive versions during the tour was so much fun and got a nice buzz going Our tour guide Colin was great informative and fun and funny The staff in general very nice and helpful The place is bigger than you think as you walk room to room and explore during the tour Everything is organized well and it's a fun time Love Jameson!
When in Dublin... This is a must! We didn't have a lot of time, but knew we had to do some tastings. It's a beautiful place and though we didn't get to take a tour, we did find a spot for tasting and really enjoyed the all around atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're into Irish Whiskey or not!!!!
I booked tickets online for the Bow Street Experience and Cask Draw (€41 - if you don't want to do the cask draw, the regular experience is €26) for a Saturday at 11:30. We did get there 10 minutes late but the first 10-15 minutes of the tour is getting your included drink at the bar. You can choose from Jameson on the rocks or a Jameson and ginger. From there, they take you into different rooms, where you get to smell the ingredients that go into distilling Jameson, and tell you about the history and the process. You'll also get to try a few different Jamesons. From first drink to finish, the whole thing lasts probably about an hour. When booking the cask draw, the website tells you to make sure you book for an hour after the Bow Street Experience so that you have enough time to finish the tour. We booked the 12:30 and it starts on time, and lasts for about half an hour. They take you into the barrel room, where they explain the whiskey, and then you get to taste cask strength single pot still whiskey, drawn straight from the cask. I don't remember what ABV they said it was but it's very high and not something that should be taken as a shot. In fact, it's so high that children are not allowed in the barrel room because of the fumes from the alcohol. Neither my husband nor I knew this at the time of booking, and we had our 8-month-old with. We just thought they bring you into a regular room, and let you taste the cask-strength whiskey, but you actually get to see them draw it, which was cool. Initially, we were just going to take turns doing the cask draw but my husband didn't end up doing it and they were able to refund us. So just something to keep in mind - if you're just looking to taste the whiskey or if you have kids with you, you might be better off going to the bar (though I'm not too sure if this exact one is served there). The experience is definitely for tourists but I would say it's one of those must-see tourist spots if you find yourself in Dublin.
It's not often I'm impressed and wasn't sure if I wanted to do this tour and it was simply one of the best tours I've ever gone on. I thought it was much better than the Guinness storehouse tour. There are far less people over here. Our tour guide was amazing and I'm so sad I don't recall his name to give him the proper recognition. I love whiskey and never knew this much went into making it. Hearing the history of Jameson was very interesting. It's done in a way that captures your attention and they move on. Some tours drag on and this one was just right, I loved getting to sample Jameson and at the end I couldn't believe how reasonable their bar prices were. I'd highly recommend trying this tour even if you don't drink. Very informative and they have the friendliest staff I've encountered in Dublin so far. read more
I enjoyed this so much. I know people might tell you it's touristy and don't waste your time, but it's truly a good time. The guides are great, funny and informative and the experience is fun. Please pay the extra for an extra casting. It's all just so informative and delicious. You can def do Jameson and Guinness in one day. If you can hang! Hahah read more

Exceptional tour and tasting at what was once the true distillery. Long since moved to outside Dublin. Still plenty of structural remnants from the original. The staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous and friendly. The tour came with a tasting of three whiskys. Two are rare and one was the standard. Post tour the complimentary offerings included to mixed drinks or a neat pour of the standard. A highly recommend stop. read more

I swear Logic low-key works here as a side hustle. Me and my friends came here for a tour last week and it was definitely a treat. The person who did the tour for us was extremely knowledgeable and had unrelenting passion for their profession. I mean you can literally here it in every other word. Somehow they echoed off the walls and into our souls. The first part of the tour was about the history of Jameson. Later we we were brought into a room and given an overview on how the distillation process works and at then the final part was a whiskey tasting with 3 different types of Jameson. Very cool tour and I recommend to anyone who likes Jameson or just whiskey in general. After the tour I also recommend trying a cocktail or two at the bar. Every single drink I tried was extremely balanced and had different flavors then eachother. read more

While most think of Guinness when the idea of a Dublin visit is on site, Jameson's Bow Street tour and distillery is a welcome stop. Combining both history and spirits, the tour gives you an incredible multimedia experience on how the most recognized Irish whiskey got its start and continues to thrive. As expected, the tasting experience is wonderful. The tour guide was amazing. And the overall experience was very enjoyable. There is a bar and lounge on site but I'm not sure if they have food. read more

Wow! My friend and I were expecting to have as much fun as we did during our 40 Minute tour of the Jameson Distillery. The space is open, modern and beautiful! Our tour was promptly started at 2:00 and led by the most wonderful man who I can't remember his name (sorry). The tour was informative, fun and engaging. We then proceeded to the whiskey tasting where we were able to sample whiskey that isn't available back home in the US. I'm not a whiskey fan, but I was able to appreciate the family history and dedication Jameson has put into its whiskey. This is definitely a must visit when in Dublin. read more
What a fun tour! When in Dublin, you have to check out the Jameson distillery and purchase the tour. It was definitely worth getting to learn the history and sample versions of Jameson you can't easily get back home. The black barrel is lovely and I wish it was easily accessible in the states. This was a pilgrimage for my people as an American of Irish ancestry. The history lesson and entertainment value alone make this the tourist destination that it is and the free drink at the bar is just a bonus on top. Simply a must visit while in Dublin! read more

I was super excited about my cocktail making class at Jameson! I can't think of a better way to spend a Friday evening than learning to make whiskey based cocktails and drinking them :) I highly recommend this class and experience. I had the absolute BEST time! We had Jameson neat, usually my favorite way - to begin class then moved onto making an outstanding black currant whiskey sour, an old fashioned and a whiskey punch (warm cocktail). The cocktail making class is hosted in a stunning room and the set up is perfection. I doubt highly you'll find a better set up anywhere. Each personal station had every last thing we'd need right at our fingertips. Our teacher was fantastic! The class was so fun! I really surprised myself at just how perfect my cocktails came out. After class, I hung around and proceeded to order a specialty old fashioned at the bar on the first floor, that is only made here. We'd learned of it in class and I wasn't leaving without having it. This was probably the most fun I had in Dublin, but I love cocktails and hands on learning is totally my jam. If you're visiting Dublin and you enjoy whiskey or want to be able to whip up a few whiskey cocktails to impress your friends, fam or date you should without a doubt sign up for this class. The Jameson Distillery Tour was amazing. I loved how it was a guided tour and our guide, Shane, was awesome. He was very engaging and shared lots of great information. The tour walks you through the history of Jameson, has you learn about their process and finishes off with a comparative tasting between 3 of their different blends. The final piece included in an adult tour is an option of 3 different whiskey drinks from their bar - the daily grog. We had our girls with us and since they were both under 12 they were free. They both enjoyed learning about the process. I would highly recommend the tour if you can. read more

If you like whiskey this a nice tour for you. You can get a drink prior to the tour if you'd like. You gather and are given a history of Jameson, followed by a chance to smell the many flavors involved in the distilling process. Finally, you get to sample 3 blends: The crest, original & black barrel. The whole tour takes 45 minutes. Then, you can enjoy your Jameson cocktail. Recommend to book on line. Our tour guide Max was super and handled a few situations with grace. It's not a recommended tour to bring your kids on. read more
I have so much fun here at this distillery. They had a lot of cool artifacts to look at in a lot of history that I learned about Jamison. Unfortunately they don't distill Jamison there anymore they have a moved it back down south more from Dublin. Definitely do the tour because that is fun and buy a lot of souvenirs to take home. read more

So much fun. A must see when in Dublin. Highly recommend the cocktail class. It was so fun to learn how to make the drinks. The bartender/instructor was so personable. And you get recipes for the drinks you make as well. The tour of the distillery was also really cool. read more

The distillery has very cool decor. No food but awesome cocktails. Gift shop is smaller than expected. I'm sure it gets busy but when we came the crowds were very manageable. read more
I'm always apprehensible when taking or booking tours such as this one. However this exceeded our expectations. We booked the Bow Street experience tasting which was a collection of four Jameson whiskeys. We booked a head of our travels to Dublin which I highly recommend you do so especially with tourism increasing. I actually made a mistake with our dates and the customer service department was very gracious and re-accommodating a date change. We queued up when it was our time to go in, and were escorted to a lovely wooden bar/office room. I believe our speaker today was Kevin who was outstanding. There was a mix of Americans and Lithuanians in the group of about 10. Each whiskey was carefully explained to us along with the tasting notes etc. It lasted about 45 minutes I believe. Once we were done, we went back out to the gift shop and the bar area where you could use the ticket to receive a complementary beverage. The place was very clean and well sanitized. This experience exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend this over some other experiences in town. We also were able to buy the Jameson Created whiskey at the airport for around €19. read more

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The tours are manageable sizes and you'll learn about the history, science, and taste of Jamison. I would also recommend the cast tasting. We sampled 18 year old Jamison straight from the barrel. Our guide did an outstanding job!! read more
How can you rate this experience anything less than 5 stars? I couldn't, especially with the delicious cocktails at the end. Well I should state that my rating is specifically towards the cocktail making experience. We booked an afternoon class which had ~15 people total. Once we were seated all the tools and ingredients were strategically placed for us to begin. The instructor was very energetic and had a perfect pace to follow along. We also learned some Jameson history as well as stories behind the cocktails we were making. After we completed our masterpieces we had time to drink it before making the next cocktail. To top it all of we had the chance to have a shot of a special barrel at the end. Needless to say we were all very happy and buzzed at the completion of the experience. Loved it! read more

Such a fun experience!! I definitely recommend the cocktail making class! My sister and I had a blast making three delicious drinks (an apple rhubarb whiskey sour, and old fashioned, and a spiced whiskey punch). Our teacher Paul was awesome and I would recommend this to anyone going to Dublin! The rest of the distillery is really nice too and you can get some great drinks! read more

Great experience. Tour with tasting is such a great value deal, and the tour is both interesting and doesn't drag on like crazy. I liked Jameson before but now have a whole different respect for it after learning the history and process of creating it. read more
This is worth the money. Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The bar area was quite lively when we walked in at 4:15 for our 4:30 tour. After showing our tickets we headed upstairs to start the tour. Tours are held in groups of 30 -cozy and informative, and quite entertaining. Our tour guide was amazing- missed her name but she had long black hair-lots of personality and humor. Even if you don't like Jameson, the Jameson story is very interesting. At the end of the tour they have a tasting of three of the whiskeys. Each component of the tour had fantastic graphics. Kudos to Jameson for such a fun hands-on tour. read more
An incredible experience! Far beyond anything I expected. The tour is not too long and our tour guide was so engaged and funny. The presentation was on point and used a lot of very modern displays to tell the history of Jameson Whiskey. There were even multiple hands-on ways to participate, not least of all was an incredible whiskey tasting included in the tour. We also paid extra for a cask draw, and I highly recommend it. They took us to the back where they store these huge Donkey Kong-sized barrels for up to 20 years and they let us taste directly from a 19 year old whiskey. Tasted like pure gasoline but what an experience it was. read more
I've been twice and just love the private tour. 10 or so people go into the old owner's office and receive a lesson on Jameson while tasting several wonderful whiskeys. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Ireland (but buy tix in advance). read more
Very much enjoyed the tour at the Jameson Distillery. When you first arrive, you wait in the bar area, where you can choose to grab your ginger and Jameson and take on the tour (or can wait until after). I am allergic to ginger, so I decided to try one of their beverages from the bar. It was strawberry concoction, that they equated to a strawberry margarita and it was delicious. Once your tour time is called, you are brought into a room with a guide. I liked this more than some of the other tours we did because they walked you through the history, making, and all the fun facts. Sometimes in the other tours we did, it can be overwhelming and I would just skip whole sections because I was lazy and did not want to read..... At Jameson though, they have fantastic guides, that not only want to get to know you but really include you in the tour. My favorite was the room that explained the process of making Jameson. It had this cool animated wall that would go through the process and sensory area where you could feel and smell different things that went into the liquor. Then they take you into a room where you get to try three of the various Jamesons. I am not a huge fan of the alcohol itself, so most of mine went to my husband but I did give it all the good ole college try. Lastly, the gift shop was cool, but the best part was they had two specific types of Jameson that you could only get there, one of which you could literally pour yourself, and they keep a log of each person that poured one. With that being said, you can go back and visit, give them the cask number and they can show you the log for your bottle. Overall a really cool experience. read more
