I take piano lessons with St. Simons Music and I am learning so much more than I was before! My old…read moreteacher (not at St. Simons Music) was very by-the-book but my teacher at St Simons Music let's me choose which music I would like to play, and let's me learn at my own speed. A big inventory of guitars, amps, and lots of other fun instruments. The recitals are held at restaurants, such as Palm Coast and Mellow Mushroom. Due to COVID-19, I was doing my lessons over a Facebook messenger video call. When the curve flattened, I started back in the shop again, but only for a couple of lessons. Now that the virus has started getting bad again, lessons have been suspended. If you are thinking about taking piano, voice, trumpet, ukulele, violin, or guitar lessons, St. Simons Music is the place to go!

Considering it was at the peak of COVID, I waited till 7/23/2020 when he finally made it out. He tuned the piano but stated that it also needed a part and he would need to order it and return. I followed up many times to only be told it could wait till the next tuning. Fast forward to the present. Got piano tuned on 10/20/22 and he still didn't show up with the part but said he would order it and stop by again. It's been nearly 2 months and several text and NO FOLLOW THRU! I would not recommend this guy at all.

We visited the piano showroom and it looked like they had some quality instruments so we set up a tuning. Jeff Herrin came to our house and had to double tune the piano. It cost a bit more than we thought it would. He came on time and since it had been well over a year since the piano was tuned and it had traveled over a thousand miles to get here, it probably needed it. A few weeks later, we noticed that one of the notes didn't sound quite right, so we gave him a call and he came back out to our house. He noticed the hammer was a bit hard and was not evenly striking all the wires. After a few minutes he had it working and sounding the way it should. He didn't charge us for the return visit and we were very pleased.
