My old…read moreteacher (not at St. Simons Music) was very by-the-book but my teacher at St Simons Music let's me choose which music I would like to play, and let's me learn at my own speed. A big inventory of guitars, amps, and lots of other fun instruments. The recitals are held at restaurants, such as Palm Coast and Mellow Mushroom. Due to COVID-19, I was doing my lessons over a Facebook messenger video call. When the curve flattened, I started back in the shop again, but only for a couple of lessons. Now that the virus has started getting bad again, lessons have been suspended. If you are thinking about taking piano, voice, trumpet, ukulele, violin, or guitar lessons, St. Simons Music is the place to go!

I took it another place to get an…read moreestimate, and I get plenty of recommendations for how to improve the flute in general (some new pads, cleaning, polishing, re-fitting one of the joints, and regulating) and a rather hefty price tag. Since I was saving up to get a better flute, I didn't want to put a huge amount of money into it. When I took it to Meis, I got to speak with the actual person would be repairing my flute. I got an immediate targeted assessment why my flute was not working. I got an education on the flute mechanism. I got an estimate less than half of what the other place would have charged me. And I got my flute back with the main problem fixed, along with several others. I'm very appreciative!

Unfortunately, the Clavinova needed repair and so we contacted them for the work. Here is where things went really bad and the reason for the 1 star rating. If you value service after the sale this is the wrong place to shop. It is now 2 months since contacting them about the needed repair and guess what...a complete and total mess. From telling a few fibs to flat out never calling us back...their service is terrible. Even their employee, Abigail, who we had talked with several times admitted she was little more than a middle man and the owner was a "hot mess". Not sure about you but when spending 4K one hopes service after the sale would be a priority...not so with Kevin and Jamestown.

One of the bikes that I received did not have a front fender and then on Christmas Day the same bike wouldn't stay running either. So I drove 60 miles to return it or exchange it. When I walked up to the customer service desk I was greeted by a very rude female employee. It was like she was excited to tell me that there were no returns on gas powered items. She offered no help except to slam a piece of paper on the counter in front of me that said "No returns" . So now one of my grandsons is without a Christmas present. I do not recommend shopping at this store. The date and time we were in the store was 12/26/23 @ 10:30.
