An unexpected, yet unsurprising find at an airport. I felt like I was in one of the malls in London.. not that I've ever been to one but that's what it felt like. I suppose because of how famous this guy is, especially considering that it's British food, of all cuisines, his restaurant is actually not disappointing. It wasn't great or anything but it wasn't terrible either. I got the Jamie's super corn & quinoa salad, the name makes it sound more glorious than it actually was. The salad was good, it did the trick, but the lack of lettuce, under the salad section, was a little disappointing. But overall, it was still pretty good. Not much to say about it, the picture kind of tells all you need to know about it. As long as you know how to cook quinoa properly, I think you can't really go wrong making this salad. My sister got the special of the day. Jamie's meatballs and waffle. I don't know if you will get the same kind of special or if they would make this again if it weren't on the board.. as I didn't see anything like that on the menu. The meatballs were delicious. Meaty but not gross or greasy. The waffle, however, was kinda too thick. It had lost all its waffle-crunchiness due to the meatball sauce and the meat juices. But just eating all the meatballs off the top was enough to fill one up, maybe plus a little bit of the crispy waffle bits. If possible, if I ever somehow decide to come back here, I'd see if I can order the waffles and the meat separately. Prices are reasonable for the portions you get. But given that this is a restaurant located in the airport, they need a little bit of work in getting their food ready on time. Most of the time people stop here because they're waiting for their plane to board or waiting for their layover to be over with, as was our case. But we still managed to stuff our face in time to catch the plane. So no harm done. But if you have less than an hour before your plane is called to board and you want to sit down to eat, I'd suggest getting it to go just to be safe. Bonus added- they have charging outlets with their booths. So if your phones are running low on juice, see if you can request to sit against a wall or a divider. Service is good. British. Jamie Oliver, I hope you're paying attention. I dropped in here expecting a great experience but I was extremely disappointed. It started off with a host inviting diners to come in, promising only a two minute wait. It was much longer than two minutes but leaving to go wait somewhere didn't seem like a practical option. I had already previewed the menu while waiting and decided on the Steak & Eggs and a cup of coffee (bottomless). Now I just need a server to take my order. Where is he or her? I also asked for a glass of water. I had requested my eggs to be folded like an omelette and, despite explaining this to my server several times, I got scrambled eggs. The steak was overcooked and tough. Thinking back, I was never asked how I wanted my steak cooked. My fault? My glass of water showed up after several reminders and the coffee showed up when I was almost done eating. I tasted a hint of tea. Did they wash this cup? Not only did I not have a chance to have a second cup, it didn't taste good enough to drink more. Now I just wanted to pay the bill and leave. Where's my server? The wait gave me some time to observe a few things. I wasn't the only one waiting. None of the staff were smiling. Some of them were even chewing on something (food or gum?) as they worked. They were very unprofessional. If I had my name on this restaurant, I would be terribly embarrassed. Apparently, many other reviewers agree. Yeah, it wasn't great. It was expensive. It was hard to get the waiter's attention. It was crowded. And the avocado on the avocado toast didn't taste too fresh or maybe even real? My boyfriend and I both ordered a coffee and water. The server was very quick. They serve a few breakfast options all day. I'm not sure why the reviews for this spot are so low because it was really good. We both ordered the large breakfast dish... SO MUCH FOOD! It had eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, steak, toast, and a waffle with pork. It looked amazing but also tasted great ! The pork waffle was definitely the best part. I was lagging hard. We'd been traveling for two days and just got off an overnight flight from Los Angeles. We had a 6 hour layover. We decided to get some lunch even thought it was technically breakfast time. It's an airport--they are set up for such things. We had nachos and a burger--and sodas, lots and lots of sodas. Definitely lured in by the signage and the Jamie Oliver name, we thought we might as well give this diner a shot. It's an airport meal after all, so our expectations were not terribly high. But!! Honestly it hit the spot. Our pulled pork dish had some kicking and actual spicy-you-can-feel flavors laid perfectly on a waffle. Nothing fancy here with the fries, just some golden thin ones, but still good enough for some comfort food salt intake. I was impressed with the sweetcorn fritters as they had enough body to be more than just fried corn but still mealy enough to feel like a real fritter. Smashed avo was under ripe which is a shame but nothing meal-ruining. Also would love to give a shoutout to all the great waitstaff here. It's an airport restaurant so I definitely value speed and efficiency; but no complaints here, our waitress was lovely and had our check/orders ready to go shortly. After reading reviews after I had sat down & had put my order in, I was nervous for the food to arrive. Turned out I had nothing to worry out. Jamie's Insanity burger was really tasty. The fries were perfectly seasoned & it was a good meal. Quite on the pricey side, the burger, a Diet Coke & a glass of prosecco - 30 inc tip, but I enjoyed it & it is the airport after all. A British take on American comfort food, I feel like Jamie Oliver hit the mark -- albeit a $23 breakfast (even by airport price standards) isn't exactly what one expects from a diner. I had The Full Monty (which was essentially a traditional breakfast fry with beans, 2 kinds of sausage, eggs, tomato, bacon & mushrooms. Bread on the side will cost you extra. The food was all fresh and a large portion that could easily be split between two people. And breakfast is served all day (yay)! The beans had a slight BBQ sauce flavor to them that I didn't hate - but I would have preferred some Heinz straight from the can, if I'm being honest. It was a flavor that felt foreign to the meal itself. I loved my waiter and the host who sat me. Both were really friendly and fun. Service was prompt, but I never felt rushed. read more

Don't go here unless you want to pay premium prices for average food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich for breakfast which includes the fried egg. No sides were included. The bun was huge, the pulled pork was a tiny portion compared to the bun. Cost was the equivalent of nearly $17 U.S. dollars (at $1.40 per pound translation). I wouldn't have minded paying that price had the quantity been appropriate as to price. The pulled pork was delicious, but nothing I couldn't get back home for a much more reasonable price (and I'm from San Francisco if that tells you anything - prices are quite high there too, but nothing like oliver's diner prices. They did have Boddingtons beer on draft which was nice. Something I can't find at home too often. Also, it was 10:45 A.M. on a Monday. They don't serve lunch til 11;30 which is a bummer. They were nearly out of everything on the breakfast menu as well. On the plus side service was very quick. After scanning the available options at the airport during our 4 hr layover, we landed on this place as it looked like the most promising offer of a decent meal that wasn't a fast food chain. Jesus, I wish I had of chosen wagamama or Nandos, at least then I would have been about £70 ahead and walked out with a predictably satisfying meal. Instead, we got an over cooked, dry slab of meat that was supposedly a 'sirloin, cooked medium rare', a piece of lettuce and some bland chips. Made me reach for the ketchup to give it some kind of taste.... which is not what you want when you're playing £24 a plate. I had to ask for a straw for twice while no apology and showed me that type of rude face. And just threw the straw right into my can of drinks. It is unacceptable. Take on an American style bistro. Flavors are good - the ribs and the chicken stand out on the menu. Drinks are stiff so I appreciate that. The painful part here is the service and the lack of attentiveness, but when you're working in a busy airport there are bound to be some trade offs. I would give this place 1star but going to give it 2 because one of the managers by the name of Phillip was very apologetic and mentioned they were working hard to fix some of the issues and didn't end up charging us for the meal. However l, as soon as I walked in I noticed the upkeep was horrible. Some tables were not cleaned off, the leather seats severely damaged, the staff was not friendly at all and the worse of all being, I noticed one of the bartenders on duty had a terrible cold. Let's go through the experience:..you walk up to the entry, and they start by asking you have any allergies of any kind. I answered walnuts, and also said I doubt there's any in your burgers. At that point they ran for the manager who had me swear they wouldn't be responsible if any walnuts touched anything I might eat.
