Agree with the other 5-star ratings. My husband found Jamie on Google (good but fewer reviews there). I called and left a voicemail on Wednesday afternoon. He called back within an hour and we were set for service today (Friday morning). I was pretty impressed because I've been calling and filling out webforms for contact with other companies. Jamie is honest, open, and publishes pricing online. He honor the pricing (no up-charging). He is friendly and professional. He confirmed the appointment for 10am and he was here on the dot. We didn't know when the last pump/cleaning was done on the system, so he went above and beyond and texted us the King County Health Dept report on the Septic Transfer which we should have gotten in the purchase of the home. Jamie is a ROCKSTAR of the septic world! As a new homeowner I knew nothing about septic systems. Just before the pandemic our system failed Jamie was able to find the problem and fix it right the 1st time at estimated cost. The day before the shut down in March of 2020. When I had additional questions 2 years later with other aspects of the system Jamie explained to me in layman's term so I could fix it myself in 10 minutes. Highly highly recommend. I own a single family rental home in Renton but live out of state. PROS: 1) Honest. Being out of state, I value honesty as much as skill. I wouldn't recommend Jamie's Septic ($500 plus tax and extras). This guy is rude & an a$$! He thinks he's the only septic service in town! He full of himself thinking he's busy! Would give me an attitude and say he's booked 1 week out. I would recommend Neighbor's septic in Renton. Cheaper ($475 plus tax) and is nice & respectful! He installed a new pump and new wiring in 2010. The wiring failed. He did not stand behind his work. Although I was very polite, he stopped returning my phone calls. "You are correct that you paid me to replace a pump and rewire the electrical box. 21/2 years later a problem occurs. How long am I supposed to warranty the electrical?" If you read my review you will see that I did not expect you to warranty the electrical for 2 1/2 years. I did expect you to help me fix your wiring box failure though. Further, I was fully prepared to absorb the cost. I just wanted it fixed. "The reason you didn't hear from me on Nov 1st, was I had talked to the electrician and was under the assumption you were being taken care of. My fault for not following up I guess." You guess? I called you on the 1st and told you that I had not heard from the electrician you recommended. I called you again on the 2nd and specifically asked you to call me back. Instead, you chose to ignore both my requests for help. "Sorry. I am sorry your experience with me didn't go as well as it should have, but if you are going to post up a negative review, please be totally honest." I was honest. Your wiring failed. You know it. I know it. That's not the complaint I have with you though. My complaint is that you ignored my calls when I needed the help the most. Need I remind you that my tanks were refilling with liquids with each passing day? "I looked at the review that you did on the company that you hired for the electrical repair. The amount of work that was required to upgrade your system can only be peformed by a licensed electrician and you knew that I wasn't one." The work the company did was intended to bring my system up to electrical code. It was work the electrician claimed should have been done in 2010. Perhaps you should have referred me to a qualified electrician in 2010 instead of doing the electrical work yourself? Bottom Line: I greatly regret hiring you to install and rewire the septic pump in 2010. Perhaps you can offer one objective reason why I should feel differently? The following is in response to Jamie's latest response. "I am sorry that a call wasn't returned. I have no excuse for that." "I just wish you would have contacted me first." Do you hear what you are saying? Not only did I contact you first but I actually contacted you twice. It was you who cut off communication. Most reasonable people would not expect me to contact you a third time. As seen in my review, I left you a message on the 1st of November stating that your referral was not working out. You did not return my call. I left you a message on the 2nd of November asking you to please call me back. You once again did not return my call. That's two calls you did not return. It was very clear to me that you just washed your hands of the situation. You can blame the electrician you referred me to for also not returning my call if you like, but my gripe is not with him. I was not his customer. I was your customer. It was your wiring job that failed and it was you who hung me out to dry. As I stated in my review, the very minimum I expected from you would have averted all this. All you had to do was return my call and tell me that you couldn't refer me to another electrician to fix your wiring problem. How hard would that have been? Instead, you chose to ignore my requests for help. What is it with businesses not returning calls? Don't you realize that it is probably the most frustrating thing to do to a customer? That's especially true when the customer doesn't have a working septic tank pump. Believe me on this. I'm not known to swear much, but your name became a swear word in this household. And lastly, I would once again point out that I was very understanding when you were at my house. Your wiring job failed. Did I point out that the previous wiring lasted 20 years? No. Did I imply that I expected you to fully absorb the cost to fix it? No. You know that. If you want to know why this all went south then I will once again point out that you did not return TWO of my calls asking for help. Shame on you. I contracted Jamie to pump my residential septic tank, he took my call immediately and was able to schedule me. He gave the information I needed to help locate the caps, and had an assistant available to take the call and a flexible schedule when I needed to reschedule. He was very professional and offered good advice in each of our interactions. I had another company come out and after pumping said I need some work on the tank! They came out to do the work and charged again one day later to pump again! Then they said they couldn't repair it that day they would have to come out and fix it another way the next day and OH guess what another pumping that is when I refused them entry to my property and never again!! I called six septic companies in my quest for help with what I thought was a septic problem....two had none-working numbers, one told me they don't service my area, another was on vacation and the other told me a time, but didn't arrive and kept putting me off. I called Jaime's Septic after being jacked round by another septic pumping company. I had called Lilly's septic service first and after two times of showing up and nothing getting done, trying to more than double the price from the first quote and leaving me in a jam, I called Jaime's, they were so cool. The receptionist listened to my problem and after hearing the whole thing, she said she might be able to get someone out to my place that evening to see if there was anything they could do, since it was too late to get it pumped that evening, but maybe he could get me some sort of relief, at least temporarily, until they could get out there during the day, so Craig called me a bit later needing my address so he could come out, came out, looked over my system, wasn't able to get anything moving right then, but made my appointment for that Monday, two days away, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, came with almost no notice and tried to help us, which I was extremely grateful and surprised about. And even though he wasn't able to do anything that evening, they were there on Monday afternoon when I got home and had just finished the pumping, I was so relieved when I saw them, I almost cried. So helpful and willing to work with me, these guys are completely awesome in my book. I called to make an appointment. Jamie told me he had 4 slots per day and the latest one was from 3 PM until the end of the work day. I made an appointment for 3 PM, January 29th, 2014. I left work early so I could be at home by the time the service guy arrived. Realizing that these guys are not always able to get to their appointments on time, I waited until 3:50 to call and get a status report. I left a message requesting a call back to let me know whether or not someone was still coming out. I never received a call back. Not that afternooon, not that night and not the next day. So, I used vacation time to get off early to meet someone that didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to show up, never mind call me back to let me know what happened. This is the worst service I've ever experienced from anyone including plumbers, roofers, furnace services, tree service, electricians etc. Be aware that this guy will play with your personal time as if you are no more important than a fly on a piece of crap. He doesn't deserve to be in business so do yoursefl a favor...do not do business with this jerk. Karl read more
