The referral was mainly given for this clinic due to the high quality support staff and the convenience of the clinic to have all the necessary equipment to do imaging ultrasounds, echos, stress tests etc right there. I was not initially scheduled for a cardiac echo during the appt. but because of what I was coming in for, the support staff was able to fit me in to get the echo done prior to the doctor seeing me. Super convenient to not have to go somewhere else to have the echo. The visit with the doctor was probably less than 5 minutes. But I'm 31 and fairly healthy. I'm not expecting for a cardiologist to need to spend a long time talking to me. Read my results. Listened to my heart, wasn't very concerned. Wants to see me in a year to keep an eye on it.

But I'm glad my primary care doctor referred me here for possible sleep apnea instead of a bigger medical group or one of those online tele-sales clinics. I got the feeling that Dr. Sulieman really enjoys his job working with patients. He took an unhurried time to listen, consult, ask about concerns and my medical history, and patiently explain to me the science of sleeping, physiology, and how it relates to overall wellness and medical condition. It made me feel respected and well cared for. The office is pretty homey, lived in decor despite being in a multi-story medical building with killer views of nearby mountain cliffs. Pulse and blood pressure devices you could buy for yourself instead of a sci fi bank of blinking machines, it reminded me of going to my family doctor when I was a child. Since then I've dealt exclusively with staff and nurses, but they have been fine too. Very sweet and personable. Turns out I do have a mild case, enough to warrant one of those air pressure devices you hook up like a scuba diver all night long, which came by parcel from an affiliated supplier. It helped a lot from day one, and was no trouble getting used to. People describe health experiences as a journey, and this one started out stress-free, comfortable, and well treated. I saw Dr. Harris who I have to say was excellent. He took care of my broken foot and also injected my knee and my hip and solved some other issues. However, my broken foot was extremely painful. I took pain medication as per prescribed, I do not like pain medication so I tried to not take it as much as possible. However, at the beginning my foot was so painful I could not put any pressure on it or sleep however, when I needed more pain medication this office completely ignored me. I called several times and I was told someone would get back to me and they never did. I was without medication for an entire week and almost had to go to the emergency room, I just laid in my bed and waited it out until somebody called me one week later! When I told Dr. Harris what was happening he apologized. However, this same scenario repeated itself a month later I wanted to come in and get an injection in my foot so that I would not need any more medication, but I could not get an appointment and I also was having a lot of trouble walking, I called the office and asked for some pain medication and an appointment. They would not refill my prescription unless I came. I was ready willing and able to come in but I could not get an appointment! Then the doctor was going on vacation so I asked if I could at least get something to get me through the week so I could work and then I would come in. No answer. Then the doctor came back from vacation and I tried to get into see him but I could not get an appointment. I asked to speak to him on the phone and they said they would call me back and they didn't. He also told me to message him through the portal which I did, now it is Friday and I couldn't bear to go another weekend without any medication to help me walk. I messaged him in the portal. They read the message at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and no one ever got back to me. So here it is another weekend where I will have to lie in my bed because I cannot walk without pain. This is nothing short of malpractice, and I am disgusted with this office and their lack of communication. I saw another doctor in this orthopedic group several years ago for another broken bone and she was amazing. She always called me back when I called and she checked up on me after surgery. If I was in pain, she gave me advice and told me what to do prescribing whatever I needed in addition to physical therapy. As I said , Dr. Harris is technically very good and he seems to be a very nice guy, but his talents are wasted in an office with little to no communication. The anesthesiology team kept us comfortable, and the state-of-the-art facility felt more like a welcoming environment than a surgery center. The nursing staff was phenomenal, checking in regularly and encouraging mobility with kindness and expertise. By week two, my cousin was off prescription pain meds and moving better than he had in a decade! Physical therapy started gently, and with each session, he regained strength and flexibility. Six months post-op, he's back to hiking local trails, gardening, and chasing his grandkids without a twinge of pain. His only regret? Not doing this sooner!
