I have seen Dr. Parker for two years + now. Usually have a wait, but this time was inexcusable. When I arrived five minutes early for my appointment, I stood two feet away from two "receptionists" for a good five minutes with no acknowledgment, eye-contact, or smile. Yes, they were on the phone, but how hard is it to acknowledge that I even exist. Finally, another lady came from the back and saw me waiting, so she took me through a side door to another computer where she did the check-in. She was pleasant. I was then instructed to wait until called back. I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally visited with another gentleman who was also waiting. He told me that his previous appointment was a one hour wait and if he had a repeat of that experience, he was going elsewhere. About then, I was called back to the exam room. The aide did a very perfunctory computer aided question session. All obvious data. I inquired if the reason for my visit was not on the monitor because I had already answered it twice. I was then given a shield to put on and she left without further comment. Twenty minutes in a cool room, now totaling 1 hour and 15 minutes. I only received a questioning glance. I responded that I was cold and tired of waiting.
At least that caught the attention of the stone faced receptionist. I asked for her to cancel my co-pay charge. She remonstrated but did do so.
Since this was all so obvious to the whole staff, I fully expected a call with an apology or questions or just something. Two weeks now, and nothing. So I will be looking for another dermatologist.
Dr. Parker herself is always professional. Not warm, but professional. But I just don't have two hours to use for a 20" appointment. So 4 stars for her. Zero for the staff. Average two stars. read more
