I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with Jana as my agent. This is a very long review because my story will give you a great idea of what it means to work with Jana and how focused she is on you as her client; but in short, she always had my interests in mind, was focused entirely on me when we worked together, and she has a lot of experience and advice that was spot-on. I met with her in the fall with the expectation to sell in the spring. As we went through my house, she gave solid advice about what to fix, what to clean up and what to ignore. She then showed me listings of comparable homes and gave me a packet of useful articles and regional sales charts. Finally, she asked me some good questions about my objectives as a seller and gave me some advice based on her experiences. All this before she was even my agent! The following months, while I prepared my home, Jana (after confirming it was okay) was sending me emails with comparable houses and occasionally checking in to see how things were progressing -- in a friendly way, not a "I want your money" way. This is still before signing any contracts. Then when it came time to sell, Jana was incredibly helpful. She was in continuous contact with me, she gave me names of quality vendors to work with, and even offered to help me paint when the time was getting short. She had my house staged, had excellent photos and videos taken and the next thing I know I was seeing my house everywhere from Facebook ads to Zillow searches. I always felt like I was her primary concern even though I know she had other clients. The open house went swimmingly with several offers being made. I chose the largest offer and thought I was done and could now look for a house to buy. Unfortunately, when it came time for the house inspection, we discovered the drain field for my septic wasn't working and unable to be repaired. In the end, I decided to connect to the city sewer line, but the stress of it all was crazy. Jana was at my side the whole way through, feeling like a good friend helping me when I needed help, and standing up for me when the buyers were trying to take advantage of the situation. I continued to use Jana for the purchase of my new home. Again, she gave me solid buying advice, sent me emails with new listings that matched my requirements almost daily, and was willing to work with my schedule to look at homes I found interesting. When I found a home I wanted to put an offer on, she worked diligently to get the offer on the table right away. Because of her advice and expertise, my offer was accepted even though I wasn't the highest bidder. When it came to getting the loan, I ran into further troubles that were unexpected. Again, Jana was there by my side the entire time and was just a solid calming voice in a world of chaos. In the end, it was an amazing experience to work with Jana (and her assistant Bri). I always felt like I was the most important person to her. She stood up for my wants and needs as a seller and as a buyer. And when I finally moved into my new home she was genuinely excited for me and my family. When my husband and I were looking at selling our home last year, we interviewed 3 different agents. Jana is the mother-in-law of one of my husband's longtime friends, however that is not why we chose her. She showed up to our home with a complete analysis of our home value, the fluctuating housing market, and what homes in our area had sold for recently. She was prepared, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the housing market. This is why we chose her She had our home professionally staged and marketed to the best of her ability, and when our first sale fell through she was compassionate and offered advice to help us obtain another buyer and keep them. Our buyer's agent was flaky and difficult to work with, but Jana handled him with the upmost poise and professionalism. It was frustrating for us, and we didn't even have to speak to this man, but Jana kept her cool and kept us as informed as possible. She stood her ground for us when she felt it was best, but also guided us and let us know when it may be best to give our buyer what they wanted to keep in contract. When our sale closed, Jana rejoiced with us. I will admit, my husband and I were picky buyers. Jana made herself as available as possible to show us the homes we wanted to see as well as sending us listings continuously of what she thought we may be interested in. She also was not hesitant to share a helpful opinion of a home, but knew the balance of having an opinion but letting us make the choice. The home we found is perfect for us and we plan to be here for quite some time. Additionally, Jana went out of town a couple of times during our time working together, but we were always well taken care of. She returned phone calls promptly, even while she was on vacation. She never left us hanging and wondering what was going on. Jana's assistant, Mariah, was in constant communication with us in Jana's absence and found us agents to show us homes if one came on the market that we were dying to look at. She also had extensive knowledge of the market and was able to answer questions when we couldn't get ahold of Jana. Working with Jana was an absolute pleasure. Jana and her team were instrumental in the listing and sale of my house. I currently live out of state and Jana assisted in finding and directing contractors to update parts of my house to get ready to sell. They were great contractors that were very reasonably priced.
