I've been taking lessons for a little over a year and as I am an adult student often times teachers are not very patient.

If I lived in Los Angeles, I would buy and take my guitars here…read more I was at the store nearby and I saw a big guitar sign. OF COURSE I had to check it out. The windows were really dark but if I peeked in I could see stuff. I walked in and found a couple and a lot of guitars! They welcomed me in and I was intrigued. He showed me a Telecaster style guitar and it had beautiful sustain. Much more than any Fender I have owned. I knew something was up. I said how come it has so much sustain? He turned the guitar around - neck through body!!! WOW! I wish I had more time to play the guitar through an amp, but he told me how he imports the guitars and sets them up perfectly. I believe it, the guitar played like butter and sustained so good. Then the kicker. The guitars are around $500. What??????? Let me put this in perspective. Maybe in 1980 you could get an Ibanez 335 type guitar - but it wouldn't play like this. It would need serious setup. My Suhr plays great but I paid way more than this. My Eric Johnson Strat has flaws and I wish was setup by Jin Soo. I don't need another guitar. I have so many. However, I cannot stop thinking about the guitar I played and how well he set it up. For $500 I'm not expecting miracles but this is close to it. It's a $500 guitar setup like one of the best guitars in the world. Smooth, no buzz, sustain. I want one!

I've bought 4 AIO guitars, and each one was perfectly set up to MY specs and played great straight…read moreout of the box. The tone is excellent for "no name" pickups. The one I just ordered was my 2nd KSA50 as I was badgered into selling my 1st one to a good friend, and it's perfectly setup. Used it the day I received it at a gig with no problem. The only thing I can say is that these do not come with a treble bleed circuit, so you have to install one yourself or take it to you luthier. I'll be buying another AIO guitar soon.

Our son has been attending Crescenta Academy for almost two years and we have been thoroughly…read morepleased and impressed with our experience! At 5 years old, he was a sport and went along with our idea to get some musical exposure, but he wasn't thrilled with the idea. We knew we'd have to find a piano teacher that could help inspire him. After stopping by a few local studios, we decided to give Jacklyn a try with 15 minute lessons to start. It was an instant hit! She has a demeanor about herself that works so well with children. Our son took so well to her style and right away I knew this would work for us. Every week, I look forward to taking my son to his lesson and I enjoy so much sitting in the studio to observe the interaction between Jacklyn and my son. She has a playful style of instruction that he feeds off of and its really fun to experience. She is just the right amount of rigid on her lessons and I've been very pleased with his progression. Like anything else, learning piano takes practice outside of the studio and he has been motivated to do so and absolutely loves his piano teacher. To celebrate the hard work, Crescenta Academy hosts BEAUTIFUL recitals to showcase the students. We have been part of two so far (Spring and Winter) and we are so looking forward to the upcoming Christmas holiday recital! 5 STARS+ for Jacklyn and Crescenta Academy.

I think my son just did about 2 months of piano lesson here. It's usually my wife that drops him…read moreoff but, that day, I happened to be the one dropping him off, and I've decided to sit down a bit further away from the lesson, and decided to just watch with no other intention. From the moment I came in, I felt that the piano instructor there is not friendly and does not usually look back and say hi to my boy nor to me. I am ok with this kind of thing as long as the lesson's got the quality so I was thinking to my self no big deal on this one. That day, not to make the matters worse, we forgot to bring our book (yes, I blame myself and my wife for not telling me to bring the book) but the instructor there had a face where she did not want to teach my child, I felt like, and another face with " You should leave here now, and what are you doing here not bringing the book" attitude. I was a bit puzzled because I've never experienced such face from someone who teaches kids (My son is 6). When I made a face of "Then, what am I supposed to do, and don't you have a spare book you can teach or something? What music school doe not have extra books for those who forget. I mean, Isn't that a normal thing for the little kids? " Only because of that, I assumed that she had no other choice but kill some time. Then, she was going over 'Typical' making the fist like egg shell (I've learned how to play the piano myself when I was young so I know how fast that chapter can last) but yet, because we forgot to bring the book, she was doing that for the next 15minutes( Yes, you may think that this is some ridiculous time here that they claim they are the music school and probably efficient to teach kids with 15min lesson. It wasn't even full 15mintues as it was already about 2minutes passed. At one point, she made a comment that my son does not have a piano, and it made it sound like, the lesson that she was giving is pointless because of that. (She did not have that specific comments but that's how i felt like). At that point, I had already heard from my wife that all she does is making egg shell with my son's fist, and that goes on about for 15 minutes for every lessons. I can see that my son's demeanor was very weak and uncomfortable and, not welcome here. So just to summarize, this piano instructor is somewhat cold, probably not welcoming all the kids she teaches depending on what the circumstances are, and making some comments about not having the instrument ( a few days to this, Me and my wife were discussing which piano we should buy, and eventually we would have bought him a piano, but the reason why we started sending him here is to have him be familiar with the piano first. He is only 6). After that day, I was furious about the school and the instructor, and asked my wife to stop sending him to this instructor. Anyways, if you want a decent care and somewhat of decent time for any piano lessons here, probably not the one.
