I emailed the shop asking if they can work my Rickenbacker 360/12. Connor was really helpful and informative with his reply. The staff were also very nice and excited to work on my 12 string on the day I took it in. The turnaround was next day! And the work done was on point. I'll keep bringing in my guitars. Thanks you!

Grayson's Tune feels like the tv show Cheers. A place where everybody knows your name. Phenomenal staff, multigenerational family business and extremely non pretentious shop. My kids go for lessons and love the experience. Connor is ensuring the legacy continues and community culture is second to none.

There is a great reason Grayson's Tune Town has been here since 1953. Wow, 69 years! The service by Brendan and Korey was truly exceptional. Graysons Tune Town offers variety of services from tuning quitars, musical instruments lessons, repairs to renting new and used instruments at affordable rates, and selling new musical instruments. I do recommend Grayson's Tune Town for all your musical interest or needs. Great inventory, exceptional service, very competitive and affordable prices.

Amazing work Sal did on this Bass...

I brought my Status S3 Bass for Sal to work on in the shop earlier today. Did an AMAZING job in an hour's time(depending on what you need done with your instrument), mine was a basic overhaul tune up where he checked the neck, intonation, cleaned the knobs, etc. Texted me to come test it out before I took it home and he had it singing like it was a new bass from the box!!. I've known Sal for over a year when he used to work for Sam Ash on Sunset Blvd. Once they closed I made sure I stayed in touch with him because he's an incredible Tech and well respected among my fellow musician friends. The Entire staff at Grayson's were wonderful; Super friendly. Very nice, great set up with private studios in the back for lessons. Well equipped and stocked and if there's something specific you need and it's not in the store, they can order it for you. I'll be bringing my other Bass guitars for them to look at; worth the drive from L.A. Call them...they're great. THANK YOU SAL!!! :)

Great selection of Taylor and Martin Guitars that won't break the bank.

I have a 1961 fender super amp that I'm looking to sell. ? do you sell consignment items?

Hi Will, thanks for the question. We do consignment but only selectively on guitars, not amplifiers at this time, I'm sorry!

I was looking to purchase a new case for a 1/2 violin. I was wondering if you carry any... preferably one that can hold a shoulder rest. Hard or soft, doesn't matter as long as the price is right. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!?

Sorry for the delay. The only cases we have in stock come with violins. You might be able to find the best prices on line for a 1/2 size violin. Thanks, Ken Grayson

Hello. I'm looking to rent a child size violin for a couple of weeks until my daughter receives hers at school. Do you have those for rent? And if so, how much do you charge?…

Hi Jamie: We do have smaller violins for rent but there are several sizes from 1/8 to 3/4 size. It is determined by the length of the child's arm length. We would need to see the child to measure for comfort. Our minimum rental period for a used… Read more

The windows were really dark but if I peeked in I could see stuff. I walked in and found a couple and a lot of guitars! They welcomed me in and I was intrigued. He showed me a Telecaster style guitar and it had beautiful sustain. Much more than any Fender I have owned. I knew something was up. I said how come it has so much sustain? He turned the guitar around - neck through body!!! WOW! I wish I had more time to play the guitar through an amp, but he told me how he imports the guitars and sets them up perfectly. I believe it, the guitar played like butter and sustained so good. Then the kicker. The guitars are around $500. What??????? Let me put this in perspective. Maybe in 1980 you could get an Ibanez 335 type guitar - but it wouldn't play like this. It would need serious setup. My Suhr plays great but I paid way more than this. My Eric Johnson Strat has flaws and I wish was setup by Jin Soo. I don't need another guitar. I have so many. However, I cannot stop thinking about the guitar I played and how well he set it up. For $500 I'm not expecting miracles but this is close to it. It's a $500 guitar setup like one of the best guitars in the world. Smooth, no buzz, sustain. I want one!

The one I just ordered was my 2nd KSA50 as I was badgered into selling my 1st one to a good friend, and it's perfectly setup. Used it the day I received it at a gig with no problem. The only thing I can say is that these do not come with a treble bleed circuit, so you have to install one yourself or take it to you luthier. I'll be buying another AIO guitar soon.

Things got off to a rocky start when there was some confusion about the dog, but Evan checked with his manager, got it sorted, and we all survived the great leash controversy of 2026. From there, Evan was awesome. Super cool, patient, and actually knew DJ gear because he DJs himself -- which is always better than someone confidently explaining equipment they've only met that morning. By the end, we were joking with him: "You really did everything you could to not sell to us... and somehow we still bought anyway." Funny start, great ending, and Evan helped us leave with a new DJ setup and speakers. Guitar Center almost fumbled the bag, but Evan recovered the sale like a pro. Shoutout Evan.

I made a purchase of a couple strings and an accessory that required me to take out my inhole sound pickup, so I asked if I could borrow a screwdriver (to literally turn the screws to the left a grand total of two times). He tells me "sorry, we don't usually loan tools out for use," which is totally understandable! So I ask if he can then just help me out and turn the screws himself if I'm not allowed to touch the screwdriver -- he audibly groans and looks at me, then finally turns, practically dragging his feet as he grabs the screwdriver to help me out. I was starting to be pretty stunned by this point. Then, when I was about to leave and putting my purchases in my gig bag outside pocket, the other guitar technician, Mike, starts staring daggers at me across the floor, then tells me to show my receipt to the guy at the door-- he thought I was stealing. After I'd been walking around the store for 2 hours and making multiple purchases. My jaw literally dropped. I don't know what's going on at this store, or if they treat every customer this way, or just me. I would speculate that because I dress quite basically (like a skateboarder, roughed up clothes, maybe?) they assumed I had no money/was poor to justify how they decided to interact with me. No matter who I am or what I might look like, staff should treat EVERY customer the same. I was considering buying a guitar from this store, the Yamaha AC1R specifically that they have in the acoustic guitar room, but now I don't ever want to come back.

By design these courses are meant for a group of 4 students. Just wanted to ask about it since the schedule was not up to date. But the person responded very quickly and checked in with the instructor to see when he was available to host one of those courses. Once I heard back I paid to secure my spot. My instructor was Daniel Corral, he was an absolute gem :) he was very patient with me, I have no music experience at all and was fortunate that I was the only student in this class. Daniel gave me a 30 min lesson every week with music sheets and things to work on for the week. I felt really nervous about taking this class since I'm an old lady but he made me feel very comfortable. I can't say I'm amazing now but I understand and feel comfortable learning the ukulele because of Daniel. I highly recommend this studio and I'm sure all the instructors are great!

My daughter's weekly half hour keyboarding lessons were a great deal at $25 for 30 minutes. While we decided to stop due to homework obligations from school, we plan to resume next year hopefully in the spring.
