I emailed the shop asking if they can work my Rickenbacker 360/12. Connor was really helpful and informative with his reply. The staff were also very nice and excited to work on my 12 string on the day I took it in. The turnaround was next day! And the work done was on point. I'll keep bringing in my guitars. Thanks you!

Grayson's Tune feels like the tv show Cheers. A place where everybody knows your name. Phenomenal staff, multigenerational family business and extremely non pretentious shop. My kids go for lessons and love the experience. Connor is ensuring the legacy continues and community culture is second to none.

I have a 1961 fender super amp that I'm looking to sell. ? do you sell consignment items?

Hi Will, thanks for the question. We do consignment but only selectively on guitars, not amplifiers at this time, I'm sorry!

I was looking to purchase a new case for a 1/2 violin. I was wondering if you carry any... preferably one that can hold a shoulder rest. Hard or soft, doesn't matter as long as the price is right. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!?

Sorry for the delay. The only cases we have in stock come with violins. You might be able to find the best prices on line for a 1/2 size violin. Thanks, Ken Grayson

Hello. I'm looking to rent a child size violin for a couple of weeks until my daughter receives hers at school. Do you have those for rent? And if so, how much do you charge?…

Hi Jamie: We do have smaller violins for rent but there are several sizes from 1/8 to 3/4 size. It is determined by the length of the child's arm length. We would need to see the child to measure for comfort. Our minimum rental period for a used…

Hello, do you carry the new Fender American Performer Strats? If so, what colors do you carry?

Hi! We do carry the new American Performer Strats - We currently have the Honeyburst and Satin Lake Placid Blue in S/S/S and then the Satin Surf Green in H/S/S. Please let me…

Do you have the new Fender Player Stratocaster in stock? Which colors do you currently have?

Hello, yes we do have the new Fender player Strats! Currently we have Sage Green Metallic, Buttercream, Sonic Red, and Tidepool. Come by and try them out, they’re real nice!

My high-end guitars do not resonate as well as this guitar. They do not look as good as this guitar. harmonically this guitar rings extremely well, and it is a very comfortable guitar to play for hours. So don't let the price tag fool you. These are extremely good guitars at a price that will make me return every year to grab one. Jin and his team are wonderful people and it was a pleasure discovering their store and their guitars. I appreciated talking to lee as well, good people. On a technical note , I dropped off a case and provided some Thomastik-Infeld strings, and Jin set the guitar up perfectly for intonation, action, and resonance. He tweaked it for my personal likes. you wont find this kind of detailed care in a big box , guitar store. Even if you don't need one, I know they would make a great gift for anyone who wants to learn how to play guitar.

The windows were really dark but if I peeked in I could see stuff. I walked in and found a couple and a lot of guitars! They welcomed me in and I was intrigued. He showed me a Telecaster style guitar and it had beautiful sustain. Much more than any Fender I have owned. I knew something was up. I said how come it has so much sustain? He turned the guitar around - neck through body!!! WOW! I wish I had more time to play the guitar through an amp, but he told me how he imports the guitars and sets them up perfectly. I believe it, the guitar played like butter and sustained so good. Then the kicker. The guitars are around $500. What??????? Let me put this in perspective. Maybe in 1980 you could get an Ibanez 335 type guitar - but it wouldn't play like this. It would need serious setup. My Suhr plays great but I paid way more than this. My Eric Johnson Strat has flaws and I wish was setup by Jin Soo. I don't need another guitar. I have so many. However, I cannot stop thinking about the guitar I played and how well he set it up. For $500 I'm not expecting miracles but this is close to it. It's a $500 guitar setup like one of the best guitars in the world. Smooth, no buzz, sustain. I want one!

Things got off to a rocky start when there was some confusion about the dog, but Evan checked with his manager, got it sorted, and we all survived the great leash controversy of 2026. From there, Evan was awesome. Super cool, patient, and actually knew DJ gear because he DJs himself -- which is always better than someone confidently explaining equipment they've only met that morning. By the end, we were joking with him: "You really did everything you could to not sell to us... and somehow we still bought anyway." Funny start, great ending, and Evan helped us leave with a new DJ setup and speakers. Guitar Center almost fumbled the bag, but Evan recovered the sale like a pro. Shoutout Evan.

I made a purchase of a couple strings and an accessory that required me to take out my inhole sound pickup, so I asked if I could borrow a screwdriver (to literally turn the screws to the left a grand total of two times). He tells me "sorry, we don't usually loan tools out for use," which is totally understandable! So I ask if he can then just help me out and turn the screws himself if I'm not allowed to touch the screwdriver -- he audibly groans and looks at me, then finally turns, practically dragging his feet as he grabs the screwdriver to help me out. I was starting to be pretty stunned by this point. Then, when I was about to leave and putting my purchases in my gig bag outside pocket, the other guitar technician, Mike, starts staring daggers at me across the floor, then tells me to show my receipt to the guy at the door-- he thought I was stealing. After I'd been walking around the store for 2 hours and making multiple purchases. My jaw literally dropped. I don't know what's going on at this store, or if they treat every customer this way, or just me. I would speculate that because I dress quite basically (like a skateboarder, roughed up clothes, maybe?) they assumed I had no money/was poor to justify how they decided to interact with me. No matter who I am or what I might look like, staff should treat EVERY customer the same. I was considering buying a guitar from this store, the Yamaha AC1R specifically that they have in the acoustic guitar room, but now I don't ever want to come back.

But over the course of the past year or so (beginning around roughly mid-2025 and onward), the company inexplicably took a nosedive with its prior reputation and is quickly sending it to the dumpster, given that it mysteriously no longer responds to communications and is increasingly failing to fulfill and/or ship its existing orders. I am not certain what suddenly changed - perhaps the ownership was transfered and/or bought out, or maybe their next-of-kin inherited the business - but regardless of the reasons, I CAN tell you with certainty by this point in time is that this is no longer the Pro Audio LA which we audio professionals so fondly remember, most sadly to say. Because all of its communications and ordering processes have just about broken down within the past months, even as it continues to accept your online orders and take your money! For the record: I have $300-worth of audio interconnect cables ordered from this past springtime of 2026, and it is now mid-July as of the time of my writing of this review, yet STILL I have heard nothing further of my order. Even after multiple communication attempts. Nothing but dead silence on the other end, even though ... again ... the online order form remains open, functional, and happily charges your credit card without batting an eyelash. Clearly, something has gone terribly, heinously amiss while SOMEONE on the other end continues to take your money. And that's just about where the paper trail ends, because your online order stays in perpetual "processing" with nothing further done. That's where it sits, even as of today. So, please, heed my warning and do NOT give Pro Audio LA a single cent of your business from this point, onward. At least not until some kind of definitive light is shed on whatever has transpired within the establishment, regarding its suddenly-tanking business model. Because this doesn't smell right at all, and I am not the only recent buyer who has been raising awareness about the recent 180° turn for the worse by this company.
