I have a full thickness tear of my shoulder rotator cuff. Surgery did not work and I don't want to do the next recommended surgery called a reverse shoulder replacement. I had been having bad stomach issues for years and my gastroenterologist was trying different medications to solve the problem. Jang's Acupunture is incredible and I cannot say enough good things. I have been seeing him for a few months now for an elbow injury/tendon tear coupled with carpel tunnel and tennis elbow/golfers elbow. The injury happened March 2024, and I started seeing Jang end of November 2024, I wish I had seen him sooner. Prior to seeing Dr. Jang, I had been to countless doctors, with 3 separate specialists telling me that I needed surgery for my tendon tear injury (which with surgery for this type of injury there is no guarantee it will make it better/solve the problem). I was in such pain, what I was able to do physically was so limited that I couldn't even lift a glass of water, and I had to take months off of work (I work a physical job). A friend recommended Jang's Acupunture and all I can say is WOW. Dr. Jang has immensely helped me, it is now March of 2025 and my elbow injury is healed, my life is back to normal and best of all I do not need to get surgery. I started seeing Choong-Il a few years prior to covid for a chronic cough my Doctors couldn't figure out. It was diagnosed as asthma but none of the asthma treatments seem to make it go away. I had 3 co-workers who already saw Choong-Il and though I was nervous to have acupuncture for the first time, boy was I glad I did. One year of coughing, gone in a week! Dr. Jang is the best thing to happen to me since my nervous system got out of whack. He excels at acupuncture for sports unjury healing and internal issues. I've seen him over 10 times now, due to periodic nerve and muscle flare ups due to work stress. This review is long over due but in my case the later the better because I was suffering from chronic back pain for a very long time. I have multiple injuries to the tailbone and spine, so basically the problem areas are L5, S1 and I had done stem cell injections and steroid injection a couple of times. My pain was so bad that I couldn't sit, I was limping because of another problem (hipbone arthritis) which steroid shot made worse and couldn't do any physical activity. I know this sounds horrible and it was. I am 43 years old, very active and driving my kids to the their after school programs had become a nightmare. Driving just in general is what makes my pain worse. I was angry all the time and taking pain medicine every single day, sometimes twice a day just to make the pain bearable, because it won't go away and just lie in bed helpless. Every afternoon after 2:00pm pain, limping and sciatic nerve pinching would start. I had heard about Dr. Jang from close family members and they suggested I go see him. I knew acupuncture works for many things but I didn't know It could correct your spine and reverse arthritis(truly powerful). When I met with Dr. Jang he suggested I commit only to one thing to heal. I was doing physical therapy but in my case it wasn't working. I also had gym membership and was doing training to work on my abdominal muscles and etc.. that wasn't working for me either. I found Dr. Jang on Yelp almost two years ago when I first moved to the area. I had an excellent acupuncturist in my old area and am very picky about who works on me. They have to be highly sensitive and skilled. With Dr. Jang I feel lucky to have found him -- I have been extremely happy with his work. Really I cannot recommend him highly enough.
