I wish 0 stars was as option... Unfortunately, our experience with this wedding coordinator was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. She was hired to coordinate my sisters wedding. As the bride's sister, I arrived at the venue early, and thank goodness I did. Much of the décor had not been set up according to the bride's clearly communicated wishes. Instead of spending those special moments enjoying the morning with my sister before her wedding, I found myself moving heavy décor and rearranging the setup in my bridesmaid dress on a hot day just to make the venue look the way the bride had envisioned. Throughout the day, she was consistently unprofessional, rude, impatient, inconsiderate, and dismissive. She was disrespectful to the bridal party, spoke rudely to our mother despite knowing she has health issues, and had negative interactions with our family and guests. Several guests commented on how unpleasant their encounters with her were, and many didn't even realize she was the wedding coordinator because of how unprofessional she conducted herself. What was especially shocking was that she openly criticized aspects of the wedding instead of focusing on making the day run smoothly. A wedding coordinator's job is to reduce stress, solve problems, and support the couple. Instead, she created unnecessary stress on what should have been one of the happiest days of my sister's life. I also work day-of assisting for wedding coordinators, so I understand the expectations of this role. Every wedding has unexpected challenges, but professionalism, communication, and customer service should never be optional. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below even the most basic standards. I would strongly caution any couple considering hiring this coordinator. If I could give 0 stars, I would. As a bridesmaid in a wedding this planner coordinated, I was shocked by how unprofessional the entire experience was. From the beginning, there seemed to be a lack of organization and communication, which created unnecessary stress on what should have been a joyful day. What stood out most was the planner's demeanor. She was often condescending when speaking to members of the wedding party and did not come across as approachable or supportive. Instead of helping things run smoothly, her attitude added tension to an already busy day. I was also surprised by her choice of attire for a professional wedding event. Showing up in a crop top felt inappropriate for someone serving in a wedding planner role and did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from a vendor entrusted with such an important occasion. The overall coordination felt disorganized, and many aspects of the day appeared poorly managed. Given my experience, I am genuinely surprised by the positive reviews I saw beforehand, as they did not reflect what I witnessed. Warning! From the beginning, communication was frustrating. There were scheduled phone calls where she never called. We were supposed to have two site visits according to our contract, but only one visit happened which was cut short by half the time(I understood the reason) and a second was never initiated which was a breach of contract on her end. What drove me crazy throughout the entire planning process was that it seemed like nothing I said was ever remembered. We would go over the same details over and over again on calls and in emails, only for those same questions to come up again later. I spent time filling in her Google Docs and answering questions, but it felt like none of it was actually being referenced. Rehearsal was rushed and chaotic. We barely had time to ask questions, and a lot of people left feeling confused instead of confident. Several people in our wedding party had never been in a wedding before and needed a little guidance, but patience seemed to be in short supply. Her answer when I wanted to practice something specific was "it'll come naturally". There was also little patience with my mother who has Parkinson's, dementia and cannot walk. Then came wedding day. Thank goodness my sisters showed up early with me because a lot of things were not set up correctly. Even with the venue layout on a google doc multiple areas were not where they were supposed to be and not decorated accordingly, so my sisters had to do the heavy lifting  in their bridesmaid dresses. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the much anticipated day with me, my sisters were left running around fixing errors and literally sweating in the expensive dresses and professionally done hair and makeup. We had discussed the cermeony processional songs multiple times and I had them again, clearly listed in a Google doc which was read back to me multiple times. but somehow there was still confusion about who was walking to what song and she let people start walking down the aisle to the wrong songs and somehow blamed ME for it right as I was about to walk down the aisle. I will always be sad about this. What should have been the happiest walk of my life was dimmed by frusteration and blame. What hurt the most was the attitude. Throughout planning comments were made referring to our wedding as "just a park wedding" and "just a taco bar." Maybe those comments didn't seem like a big deal to her, but they were a big deal to us. This wasn't "just" anything. It was our wedding. We spent countless hours planning it and making it special. The saddest part is that after the wedding we kept hearing stories from guests, vendors and family members about rude interactions with her. Instead of spending the days after our wedding talking about how perfect everything was, we were hearing things like, "who was that lady?" "what was her deal?" "She was so rude to us" and "it was great despite her." That's heartbreaking to hear after putting so much time, money, and effort into the day. This took away from post wedding day happiness and clouded the good memories from that day by hearing these stories and having to apologize to everyone for her actions. To top it off, property was damaged during cleanup, and we got an "oops" instead of an apology when we brought it to her attention. We are still finding damage to our property while unpacking boxes and bins. I do want to say that the assistant and servers were fantastic. They worked hard and were wonderful. After the wedding we addressed our concerns with her via email and we were met with more rudeness, she placed blame on us and the guests that had encounters with her, pretty much called our guests and us liars, and took no responsibility or accountability for any of her actions. After many emails we did get a small refund but never an apology, except for us not "meshing" which was not the issue until all these problems started arising. At the end of the day, our wedding was still beautiful because of our family, friends, and other vendors who stepped up. But hiring this coordinator added stress instead of taking it away, and I cannot recommend her since she was the biggest mistake I made regarding our wedding. read more
