PHH Mortgage demanded that I buy a 'Master Condo Policy' for my "single family style home." This mistake (if not corrected) would have cost me THOUSANDS of dollars EVERY year! So my first call was to my State Farm agent... and 'Marsha' is the #1 BEST BEST BEST person in charge of running the office. When I explained the mistake that PHH Mortgage had made... within "minutes" Marsha was on top of the situation to help FIX the problem. With her help, I then spoke to the "complaint department" at PHH Mortgage and they corrected their mistake! All the service people in the world ... Once the policy was written, I could never get through to that person again for anything that came up, and additionally, there was so much turnover of the staff up there that most requests involved repeating myself just to get a new agent on the same page with me. It was frustrating. I switched to Tyler Cross a year or two ago and quite honestly couldn't be more delighted. First, they're local. What I appreciate most about them is I get consistency with agents. There are two. They are easily accessible. I get to speak with them both, and they always seem to go to "yes". They're transparent about what they know and what they don't about how policies work. If they're not sure of the answer, they're specific in offering phone numbers at Allstate staffed with people who do. Tyler Cross helped me enormously just this past winter when the ceiling in my bedroom closet collapsed from all the rain. They aimed me in the right direction, and that aspect of the claims process was seamless. If I could give Tyler Cross 10 stars, I would. They deserve it.
