We were long time customers, but felt like the company didn't have any interest in saving us money or just in us as a customer in general. I got too comfortable with Mercury Insurance & was amazed at the current rates of other insurance companies. I am now saving over $130 per month with another company with the SAME coverage I had at Mercury. When I called to cancel, they seemed all to glad to let me go. Do not deal with this insurance company. Especially Lydia. They are condescending and do not tell the whole truth. Brianna, Lydia's boss did not inform me of 10% fee due cancelling my policy. It's 10% of the entire policy amount! Then when I tried to ask her why my refund wasn't correct, she brushed me off and told me to call mercury instead. I have been an auto insurance customer of nickerson for many years. They have been wonderful to deal with until I my wife had her accident. They handled the claim good but when the car was repaired we had to tow it to the office for them to inspect causing us to hire a tow truck or drive without insurance for the inspection. Many years ago I had a car repaired and my old insurance company said they would bond the car for the short drive to the inspection and no tow truck needed. read more

***Tremendous Customer Service*** On Friday 3/13/15 I purchased a new SUV. I was working with Brianna Johnson to get a new quote for the vehicle using Mercury Insurance. Their quote was the lowest by far. My new SUV had to be a dealership transfer, which takes some time. It was getting late after 5 o'clock, and I was hoping to drive with insurance coverage. I contacted Brianna who said she was working till 7. I was relieved. But my new vehicle was stuck in traffic coming from Alhambra to Culver City. So Brianna mentioned to get the VIN # and she could write up a new insurance binder. I got the VIN # and phoned it in to Brianna. In short time she had faxed the new insurance binder to the dealership I was at. I was relieved to have it. Brianna Johnson demonstrated what a perfect Insurance Rep. should be like.
