I…read moream a brand new Grandmother and this shop has all kinds of fun stuff to buy for my granddaughter - grand is the operative word! When you are the Mom you have to buy diapers, shampoo and stuff like food. As the Grandma I can buy all the impractical stuff. I have only been there once since my granddaughter was born but I was able to find the cutest head bands with bows that attach for football games and St. Patrick's day. Sigh of bliss. How fun to buy such non essential items. They have tons of darling dresses, socks and coats that are so cute and cunning. I love everything they have here. Some of the items are custom made and are similar to what I make for my sweet new granddaughter and I love that also, it makes me feel like I am so darn clever. I don't know about you, but I plan to head over early and often.

I had a really frustrating experience trying to sell clothes at Once Upon A Child. I brought in a…read moremix of gently used, high-quality items--some of them brand name and barely worn--and the offer I received was honestly disappointing. The biggest issue is how much they lowball you on items that clearly have higher value. It felt like there was no real consideration for condition, brand, or resale potential. On top of that, their selection process makes no sense. There's no transparency in how they decide what to take and what to pass on. Items that were in great condition were rejected, while others I expected them to skip were accepted. It just felt completely inconsistent and random. The employee that ring me out. When I was told only $30 for 78 items( which I believe they took more and just didn't put it on there) I question it. She then told me they give $1 for every bodysuit that they take, but they took 45 body suits. So, it didn't make any sense. Overall, the lack of clarity and the very low payouts make it hard to justify bringing items here. If you're expecting fair value for your clothes, you'll probably leave disappointed.
