I have lived in the Lake area since 1991 and used Janine's for so many occasions I can't even keep track. They are a local family-run florist that always does their best to accommodate the wishes of their clients. Yes, maybe once in a while an employee disappoints, or the flower shipment they were promised was late, but through the years they are my go-to florist. Must preface this by saying it was a 3.5 for online ease, reasonable price and reasonable delivery charge, but the "florist's choice" bouquet I ordered for a get-well bouquet was a little traditional and somewhat basic in design, just daisies and a couple roses with baby's breath. That being said, I would still use them again, only I would choose one of the arrangements that have photos, rather than leaving it up to someone else's discretion. The Flower shop delivery guy called me to let me know my sister had went home sick and then asked for her address and continued to deliver to my sisters home in another town. I typically like to support local chains and have used Janine's the past couple years. I went to Yelp to find a local flower delivery shop just to see what other options I had. Somehow I was rerouted to an online nationwide flower service when I ordered the flowers a week ago and did not realize it at the time. Today that company called after 5pm to inform me that my flowers will not be delivered today as promised. The flower order is for my grandmothers 83rd birthday and I told them this is unsettling and a disappointment considering I called to confirm all order details and delivery as promised just yesterday. I ended up cancelling the order that was not going to be delivered and called Janine's 10 min before they closed. Luckily they had the flowers I wanted to send and they were able to do same day delivery to make sure my grandmother received them today. The flowers were delivered in about an hour. They just made my day considering the situation at hand. Thank you Janine's and I have learned my lesson for future orders! read more

Terrible Customer Service and POOR quality flowers I have ordered a lot of flowers and have never had such a terrible experience as I did with Janies Flowers. The owner was very unprofessional and argued with me about my extreme dis satisfaction with flowers that I ordered online. The flowers I ordered were nothing like any online photo and were a huge disappointment. I was offered a replacement bouquet however the event that I was sending the flowers for had come and gone so the intent was lost. I will not be recommending nor returning to Janine's flowers, I value customer service and it is obvious this business does not. read more

Called Janine's Flowers after 3:30 California time thinking I might catch them open after 5PM, they were. I saw what I wanted on their web page, told them, she checked to make sure they could arrange my request. Within minute's she had all the info she needed, the order written up and told me it would be delivered in the morning. Not sure why the bad reviews... We used Janine's in Sept 2015 for our wedding. Janine's provided all our floral needs, men's suits, and our wedding cake (desert). And provided a discount for booking multiple services through her. We're not from the area, so being able to coordinate all these items through Janine's was a huge plus! Another HUGE advantage: Janine's dropped all the flowers off at our venue (Casa de Loco Winery) & picked up the plants we rented the next day - no effort necessary for us. Floral needs: Janine worked well with me. We stopped into her shop, unannounced near the end of their business hours. I am not a big flower person & had NO clue what I wanted. None. She was very patient with me. We looked through books for ideas, wrote an order for quote. I received her quote a few days later & found the price good. We ordered the boutiques, guys flowers, moms corsage, (the usuals for weddings), plus baby's breath for centerpieces, & Janine was familiar with Casa & suggested some hanging ferns & mums for the outdoor ceremony space (which looked great). She delivered everything to the venue the morning of the event (even hung the ferns I think). And returned early the following day to pick up the rented plants. I didn't do a thing, which was great! Due to an illness, a bridesmaid couldn't make it & we had an impromptu flower girl instead. Janine was able to slim down an adult boutique for us (to fit a 3 year old) on short notice & even deducted the cost of not using as many flowers (saved us money). Men's suit. Janine's partners with Jim's formal wear for suits, who has a large selection of suits. Jim's is a chain (somewhat I guess). There was a local to us bridal shop that also partnered with Jim's, so checked out suits out for color their alittle, but ordered through Janine. Because no one is local to the area, all the guys sent measurements in. You try-on/pickup the suits at Janine's. Some of the guys needed an item resized; one guy couldn't arrive to late the day before & needed an item re-sized. All the guys had matching, correctly fitting suits for the wedding, despite everyone sending in measurements. And the colors were as expected. What also made ordering suits through Janine's great - we stayed at Tan Tar A. The guys just had to leave their suits with the front desk at Tan Tar A the day after & Janine came & got them - which was great for all our out-of-towners! Wedding cake. We didn't want to do a traditional cake: we wanted cupcakes & cake balls. Something easy for guests to just nibble on throughout the night. Janine's was the only place in the area that I found that did cake balls - something that was a MUST have for me. We also got a small, simple cutting cake. Just like the flowers, Janine dropped the cupcake/cake balls & their stand off at Casa for us (and set it up). And then came the next day to retrieve the stand. Nothing we had to do. The stand was 3 tiered & the cupcakes & balls (or cake pops, other name for them) looked beautiful & elegant on it. We did an assortment & had traditional flavors & also different flavors like turtle & strawberry lemonade. We had some cupcakes & balls decorated with the colors & traditional wedding decor. And some were decorated to look like baseballs (an undertone theme we used). We ordered enough for each guest to have like 1.5-2 cupcakes & 3-4 cake balls. We had very few leftover if that tells you how good tasting they were. Most our guests didn't realize the cake balls were cake, they thought they were suckers & didn't eat many. After the wedding, we had a lot leftover from this confusion. The day after, the families were talking & finally realized what they were & tried them. And loved them. We actually had to portion out the leftover cake balls to the guests (we had the leftovers in our room) - everyone loved them so much & wanted the leftovers! Overall, everything came & turned out as expected. And greatly appreciated the drop-off/pick-up delivery service! Would recommend all of Janine's services (especially the cake balls) to anyone! I was surprised to see some of the other reviews because I've used Janine's Flowers several times over many years and always gotten great flowers and excellent service. Usually, I've called from out of town to have flowers delivered for a funeral or birthday and the staff has been extremely helpful in picking out the right arrangement for the occasion. The people receiving them have always remarked at how nice they were. I would highly recommend Janine's. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!!! My husband paid WAY too much money for three daisy's and greenery. It was supposed to be an arrangement for my birthday and instead it looks like a cheap excuse for left over flowers. It also was supposed to be for my birthday and they put Christmas greenery in it. REALLY!!!! I called and spoke to the lady at the store who really didn't care nor did they try to make it right.
