Only thing that stood out was the in-person service. They were quick and friendly. However.... Food was not worth the cost. Hours listed weren't right on any site. We had a thin crust Long Island pizza and cheesy bread. The crust was definitely not made in house, it tasted like it came in frozen resembling a Jack's frozen pizza. Cheesy bread was also not impressive. It was just some frozen breadsticks with butter and cheese added to the top and then popped in the oven. Every time I called, the phone line was busy, and the online ordering system was unavailable. This wasn't just a one-time issue--it happened repeatedly over multiple days. It's frustrating when you're actively trying to support a business and can't get through by phone or place an order online. If a restaurant is going to be that difficult to order from, there needs to be a better system in place. We order from Janinos every time we arrive in Gulf Shores after a long 12 hour drive and don't want to venture out to a restaurant. I order on line getting a Bronx and some wings. It's always been perfect, tasty, hot and very little wait time. Parking is limited but we are use to that and everything goes smooth. There weren't many options to choose from so we settled on Janino's. I ordered a half & half pizza. One side pepperoni and the other supreme. They clearly didn't make the pizza as requested because there were onion and bell pepper sloppily tossed on the pepperoni side. The crust was burnt and hard as a brick. Ordered via UberEats. Food: Ordered a 14" pepperoni, Buffalo wings, and a small garlic knots. The pizza was ok. Thin, but not super crispy as I wanted it to be when advertised as "NY style". The sauce was flavorful, but the cheese kept sliding off the pizza. The wings were super small (I'm from Atlanta so we're used to bigger and more flavorful wings), but their Buffalo sauce was unique and had good flavor. The garlic knots had good flavor as well, if a little dry. The garlic sauce they came with helped to pump up the flavor a little bit. Price: Ended up paying about $42 including tip. Consider this was ordered via UberEats, it's not a bad price in my opinion over all. All in all, it wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Just run of the mill pizza. Meets your expectations for beach pizza. It really seems like they cater to tourists... and why shouldn't they. And by cater, I mean that have no need/desire to deliver on service as most customers are just looking for pizza with minimal intention of returning. The kids think it's decent. The knots are pretty good but they were sold out of them multiple times this week. The pick up window is chaos. They really need to just commit to the fact that they are a pick up place. Like turn one of the windows into an order counter and use another for pick up to keep the flow moving on their deck. Likewise, they could use some dedicated window for pick up orders that are already called in. They seem to have no system of knowing which orders are for people that are waiting there and which are for call in orders... so as orders are completed there is no "system" for them to call out the name of who it's for. I went this most recent time to get garlic knots. They rang me up, then told me they were sold out... I mean there is no menu anyway... just some random signs posted about... so maybe they should take down the sign about the knots. So they cancel my order and I order bread sticks instead. 3 minutes they tell me. The line is chaos, so it's not easy to pop back up there after 3 minutes. So I wait. 15 minutes later I ask and they discover they never actually made them. So I wait again. Also, parking is a mess... and in what seems like fitting fashion, they have a huge section behind their restaurant that appears to be their land... yet instead of creating a parking lot (you know, improve the customer service... they put up a rope) Seriously. Avoid. If you must have pizza... just find another option. The 10 minutes extra it will take to drive up to papa Rocco or Crisco will be WAY less time than you'll spend waiting in the chaos of janinos. read more

I waited about 1 and a half hours on this pizza. About 45 mins longer than what I was told. I was thinking the whole time this better be good. I can't give it 5 stars strictly due to the interactions with staff and the customers. Crazy unorganized for the pickup/ order area. Got back to the condo and holy shit! This pizza is unbelievable. The garlic knots really sent it over board. The pizza is super fresh the Long Island was a perfect tomato basil garlic based pizza and The Bronx is a perfect meat lover blend. The dough is perfect.
