It was soggy, pale in color and tasteless. As we were waiting for our food the fire alarm went off. It was so loud. They had to get the fire department to come shut it off but we couldn't stay and wait because it was giving us a headache. I know that part isn't their fault and again Leslie was great. We wanted to settle our bill but I did mention I wanted to get something as compensation as I didnt. finish my drink etc. the waitress checked with her manager and comped us the whole bill! Two alcoholic drinks and the oysters. I was surprised. It's so rare to find a restaurant that has good customer service. So I wanted to highlight how they handled this. Unfortunately this spot suffers from the Lower Alabama failure of not having the condiment of mustard available in a squeeze bottle like the rest of the civilized world does. For some strange reason a whole lot of Lower Alabama joints only have nasty ketchup in a squeeze bottle and for mustard they only provide you with those wonky irritating little tiny packets of mustard that just make more of a mess than anything! I had a theory that this lack of squeeze bottle mustard availability was due pandemic issues of them ending up with lots of excess mustard packets they needed to get rid of but that theory has been blown out of the water as Tap & Still is a brand new business that shouldn't have had that issue. So I'm left having to just tote around my own damn squeeze bottle of mustard all around Lower Alabama which tends to make me GRUMPY!!! So the burger here sadly was of the smash burger style although my server told me it was in-between a smash burger and a thick burger.
