After being towed into McPherson and getting a place to put our RV for the night, we called Nightingale Transmission on Thursday morning. Brian answered the phone and was very courteous and friendly. He explained that they were short-staffed and were already overloaded with transmission repairs, but, he understood our predicament and he would discuss it with Mr. Nightingale and see what they could do. A few minutes later, he called back and said that they wanted to help us and they would make our repair a priority since were were there stuck from out-of-town. A short time later, Ryan Nightingale and another employee showed up at our location, hooked onto the truck and took it to their shop. Apparently, the employees voluntarily agreed to work overtime late Thursday to get our transmission rebuilt. By noon Friday (the next day) they had finished. Ryan came to our location and gave me a ride back to their shop. Ryan took the time to show me the parts they rebuilt and explained how transmissions function. He was very informative and helpful. Soon I was on my way with a totally rebuilt transmission. Their price was very fair and came with a warranty. If you need transmission work, this is the only place to go!!

The kid at the desk said "I can't help you" then I said, "is there a mechanic I can speak to for 30 seconds?" to which he replied NO. Yes everyone knows that customer service is 'dead' in America and this proves the point. My brother looked at me and said "I sure know where I WON'T be taking MY truck when I need service" This kid at the desk should be fired if I owned the business. When Chris Walline owned it he was always more than happy to help someone out with any kind of automotive problem and do it with a smile. So, we drove over to Winslows by the tracks and Bruce was more than happy to explain what grease I needed to install the ICM and went as far as to just give me a small amount to do the job for free. So yes, customer service is 'dead' in America but there still are old school mechanic good human beings around here and there that don't think helping a paying customer out is beneath them. Within a half hour they had a tow truck there and got us back to their shop. By the time we got to the shop parts were ordered and everything was ready to go the next morning. They were so gracious.
