I went to the Jared's store in Winston Salem, NC a week or so after I picked up some earrings. a salesman #013601141 l, who never greeted me when I came in the store, I promptly asked him for service to order a pearl necklace and that I would buy a gift card since I only had cash. He told me that he would do it but that the only receipt was the gift card and that I couldn't get cash refunded. This happened on 1/17/2025. I was upset because something wasn't right. The service I received was pretty awful and on top of that I found out on January 19th at another store that there was no order at all! I got duped by a greasy salesman! read more

Opal is a very pushy saleswoman. Walked in with the engagement ring on and she asked to see it so my fiance took it off. She said let me clean it, or something like that, and imediatley took it all the way across the store out of our site. This is a very important, sentimental ring for me and my fiance too. We did not like that at all. You can atlease set the expecatations a little by telling us what you are about to do and where you are about to take it. Then she proceeded to seem to take us hostage to buy a ring that she thinks we should buy and be very pushy about buying it, including a little insulting. Even telling us what WE need to do, and what I need to do, even though the first thing we told her was that this was one of the first places we have been to and we have just started looking. I would like to point out, I am not cheap and it was not about the money. In fact, I ended up spending more on a ring than that because of the ring and the salesperson I was dealing with. Although, their mark up is more than other places. I also, use to be a salesman. So, I understand about trying to isolate objections and closing the deal and asking for the sale. This, however, over the line. Pushy doesn't do it justice. It was offensive, intrusive and unwelcomed, and over all unconfortable. I told my fiance, after she finaly let us leave, that I was going to call her out on all of it if she had said one more thing. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE After purchasing an item from this store, we returned a few years later to upgrade the ring. I was shocked to be treated like a criminal. After we had to be buzzed to enter, we where greeted by an employee that acted like it was a burden to assist us. We presented the ring that we purchased 5 years ago and requested the item to resized. We purchased life time warranty that allows for free resizing. Upon further conversation we presented a 2k solitaire diamond that we were looking to purchase a new setting for. The salesman again acted offended that had brought in a 2k diamond. They immediately inspected the diamond, viewed it on the microscope and stated "Thats a nice diamond, how much did you pay for it". I was so offended that they asked such an inappropriate question. We stated, "Much less than what you guys are selling your diamonds". When we returned to pick up our set, again we were greeted like criminals. "Do you have your slip or your ID". The following set of customers that came in was also there to pick up an item. And they were greeted completely different. Very pleasant and no questions about the slip or ID. Long story short, we were treated like criminals. I will gladly take my money to another business before I ever return to this store. read more

Love love loveed Jarad - Galleria of Jewlery. They have so much to offer. I could spend a whole day in there trying on different things and being find with it. Customer service is on point; Polite, great opinions, and very convincing. They don't make you settle for something you have second thoughts on and they have a wide variety to choose from. They have lifetime insurance on their products so you feel comfortable with purchasing your gift. My husband and I picked out my bridal set and I was so relieved to hear that no matter how long you have it or how many generations you pass it down to, it will always hold its value. Jared's is more expensive than other brick and mortar jewelry stores and online retailers like blue Nile. They just are, what you pay for is the service and this location really let me down. Dear lord that young manager with the brown hair can suck all the fun out of an exciting event. I've had the unfortunate experience of working with her twice. First time, I almost walked out empty handed due to her unpleasant and high pressure sales tactics. An employee saw this and swooped in and took me away from the manager's grumpy vibe and was able to save the sale by being the total opposite of her. The employees are great and that is why I used to come back but just dealt with that grumpy and high pressure sales manager again today. I won't go back, that woman takes the fun out of jewelry shopping along with trying to rip you off (PM me for details). This is supposed to be fun experience for me. If you hate your job so much - get a new one, because you are ruining exciting moments for people. Stay away or this woman may ruin your special occasion shopping and rip you off in the process. This Jared's is in a good location, on the corner of Stratford and Hanes mall blvd. The first time I ever went here I was upset from the way their sister company had treated me and wanted their help to switch over warranty paperwork. I had such a great experience that I my husband and I bought our wedding bands here. Subsequently, my husband goes back often to get pandora gifts for me. He says they treat him very well but there's always the occasional up-selling of other items. All in all, I am very pleased with all of my purchases from here and the associates are typically nice, helpful and inviting. read more

Even though I ultimately had to return a fairly pricey engagement ring, they made it very easy and did so without any issues with attitude (which I did fear in spite of the return policy.) I really appreciated that, and will make a point to come back for the next jewelry purchase I make. The shopping leading to the initial purchase was also pleasant. Please disregard this review. Since our visit a few months ago, my fiancé realized that the credit card/financing company has been charging us interest on the setting that we exchanged for. Apparently, Jared's recently changed financing companies around the time we exchanged my engagement ring setting and no one cared to tell us. When we exchanged the setting, it was supposed to only be a $100 difference; but the difference wasn't charged onto the card. Jared's had to do a refund on the original setting and make a new purchase for the new setting. This new setting purchase total is now being charged interest on my fiancé's Jared credit card, which has now accumulated to nearly $200 over the last few months, which will CONTINUE to accumulate over the next 18 months!!! When my fiancé called the store today, he asked to speak to Chastity, who helped us make the exchange at the store, who I said was so helpful. When he spoke to Chastity today, she blatantly told him that she didn't remember him from just a few months back and that she couldn't help him. Had I known about this change in financing companies, I would have kept my original setting. Jared's, your customer service NEVER fails to surprise me, no matter which location!!! It just goes to show you that no matter which location you go to, Jared's is ALL about sales and not about the maintaining relationships with customers after the fact. I can honestly say we will never return to another Jared's store to make another purchase. read more

The customer service at this location is awful!!! Take your business somewhere else! About a month and a half ago my boyfriend and I began looking and shopping for an engagement ring, which should be a super exciting experience! We decided to try to check out the Jared's by Hanes Mall. We were immediately greeted by a sales woman and she was so nice and personable! She was asking for our names, how we met, what we were interested in, and our budget and at the time she was REALLY excited when she found out our budget. We looked around for a long time and she kept showing us beautiful rings and we narrowed it down to a few that I really liked. Then she asked us "If you find a ring that you love are you planning on buying it today?" and we said probably not because I want to be surprised with my ring. I don't want to be there when my boyfriend buys it! Well as soon as she found out we weren't for sure buying that day, her entire demeanor and attitude changed towards us. She no longer made it an enjoyable experience and it was clearly only about the money to her. She was not eager to help us find the perfect ring. Fast forward about a month later... We unfortunately had to pay for some family emergency stuff and our budget drastically changed. We decided to try Jared's again to give them another chance. We got stuck with the exact same sales lady (taller African-American lady). Before asking our name or giving any interest towards us she asked us the same question "If you find a ring you love are you buying it today?" and we gave her the same answer because I don't want to be there when my boyfriend buys the ring. She immediately showed no interest in helping us once we said no until we finally asked for assistance. We told her our new budget and she said we will only find something in one certain case in that price range. She was not willing at all to help us find different options such as a different setting with a smaller stone or financing options. It is just crazy how rude, inconsiderate, and unhelpful some people can be during such happy moments and experiences. Today I called the manager and he was so dismissive of the situation and made excuses for the sales lady instead of taking the responsibility. Also, he never apologized for our poor experiences there. He then proceeded to hang up on me before we finished the very calm conversation. Jared's will never get my business! read more

The clerk and manager refused to elevate a situation in regards to picking up my items and made it much more difficult than necessary. My fiancé and I went in to just look at the engagement rings and wedding bands. From the moment we walked in I felt uneasy. We were greeted by two women and taken back to their "bridal room" to discuss options. During the whole process I felt we were rushed. We didn't find the right ring but I felt like we were being pressured into buying a ring right then. I felt like we were trapped in an interrogation room at a police station. I would have rather been allowed to walk around a browse what is available and then sit down and talk. I will not be going back to Jareds. read more

I bought a lovely Swiss watch at this Jared's in July of 2014. One month later, it needed a new battery, a minor hassle, but complementary. No big deal. 16 months later, it needed a battery again--surprising, but no big deal. Except it was near the holidays, so I had to leave it to be fixed. They called me the next day and told me that they had replaced the battery, but they could not get the back on because they "did not have the right tool." What??? They gave it to me with the watch taped together with scotch tape. They told me to take it to the watch guy in the mall--where I should have gone in the first place. The watch guy in the mall takes one look at it and says, "Look, they damaged the gasket when they took the back off. You need a new gasket." I called to speak with the manager, and he was incredibly rude and said the only thing they could do would be to mail the watch away to be fixed. For a battery. Never. Again. read more

My fiance found "the" perfect ring at Jared's for our engagement. We got nothing but the runaround because we wanted them to mount a colored diamond. They charged an arm and leg for an extended warranty and also said they would only set this diamond with platinum (also, at a huge price). They said horrible things about my diamond and its quality. Long story short, we returned the ring, had the diamond appraised at another jeweler and found it to be of excellent quality, with no up charges for warranty or setting. Please think twice before going to a chain store where the personnel may not be trained properly. read more
