I got suspicious and took the ring to Schiffman's Jewelers who evaluated the stone and actually showed me the defect. I ask my wife for the certification documents to sue Gregory, but fortunately for him my wife misplaced the documents, and now has settled for a cheap diamond ring. I also took a Croton watch for a new battery, when I later inspected the watch I noticed an indentation which was not there previously on the gold bezel. I am a watch collector and I take care of my pieces. All I ever heard from Gregory was why don't I buy from him, now YOU know why.

(I don't know if the business services watches with mechanical movements, however.) In addition to batteries and repairs, Gregory's sells a huge selection of watch bands at all price points, and a (more limited) number of new and vintage watches and pieces of jewelry (rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc). The final ring is so much more personal and more beautiful than anything I had been considering before I decided to go with a custom ring. He sourced a really cool blue-green (sometimes it is blue, sometimes it is green) sapphire, and I am a huge fan of the engraving work.
