If I could give this place no stars, I would. I visited this jewelers in Nov 2025, while back home visiting family in NC on a day I was doing self care trying to relieve some chronic pain with massage. At the massage business next door. I saw this jewelers. I was dressed down & pretty basic looking. I went in with the intention of seeing if I connected with anything. The short haired older lady that assisted me had to be the most disconnected rudest human I have ever met. She acted miserable to exist. This place has amazing pieces, but a rude employee who doesn't want to be bothered by mere, regular shoppers. I really don't know what to say other than I will never give them a penny of my business due to the god awful way I was treated. As if I didn't deserve the same respect & dignity as anyone else. I would suffice to say, her time is up. She needs to call it quits, before she causes the business to lose all its customers through discrimination and her ignorant social profiling behavior. I had money to spend and bought several items despite her foul attitude. The male on staff that day tried to be kind and apologized for her behavior. Noone needs to apologize except her. I will make sure I inform everyone I know to avoid this place due to the awful atmosphere it promotes by continuing to employ such a wretched human. read more

Mark helped me get my new watch just right and even went beyond to teach me a couple of features in the watch. I went in for a resizing because I received my ring as part of a surprise proposal and was struggling to figure out which size would be best since I never tried on rings before. He kept rushing me and pushing me to pick a size even though I kept asking for help. He kept saying I needed to figure it out and that he couldn't tell me. I understand that I need to decide on what's comfortable but I went there asking for expert advice and he simply wouldn't or couldn't give it. The tone and attitude were uncalled for. Over the years I purchased multiple pieces of jewelry from Mark. I also had jewelry repaired and modified. They were my go-to place. NO LONGER! I recently went in to have a piece of jewelry modified and was first told that due to insurance they could no longer work on items that were not purchased in the store. I offered to give them indemnity for insurance. This is when the real issue surfaced. They then said they wont work on items not purchased in store. I was willing to pay for the work. Would a car dealer refuse to service a car not purchased from them? No... Any Toyota dealer will work on any Toyota, purchased from them or not. I have many jewelry items not purchased from them. I guess it is time to move on.. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else where they care to have any of your business. Not just work on what was purchased in their store. read more

Customer service was lacking, felt like an outsider. Will not use them again. I was very happy and surprised that the watch was done earlier than expected. My son and I were very happy to have this family heirloom back. I was told you did not have a watch box. I was not offered a protective wrap in tissue nor soft protective pouch, I would have been happy with those options. (If your notes reflect that I was they are incorrect my son was there as a witness). I was offered a white envelope only. The itemization shows me what was done but not the cost of each. I have not idea the cost of each individual item nor do know what the labor cost was. The reason I had chosen your shop was due to personal reviews I had received from friends. read more

I first went to Mark Andrews Jewelers to get the watch face replaced on my husband's watch. They replaced the crystal but mentioned how it didn't seem to be working correctly and asked if we would like the watch repair guy to take a look at it. We agreed to at least see what was wrong. Unfortunately, a shard of glass had gotten into the mechanism. I didn't want to spend much more on the watch so we decided to not get it fixed and agreed to just pick up the watch with the new crystal. I appreciate them being patient with me as it was probably a few weeks before I could get around to picking up the watch. We ended up selling a couple rings to this jeweler as well. EVERYONE I came into contact with were WONDERFUL! I like the non-chain, mom and pop shop. We highly recommend! read more

Truly another great experience with Mark Andrews (see my other review!) My husband and I walked in at 1:50 (knowing they close at 2 on Saturdays) expecting to run in quick to drop off his wedding band for resizing. Tyler helped my husband pick the right size, then asked if I wanted my engagement ring cleaned. I handed it to him and he instantly identified that the center stone was loose and held it to my ear to hear the rattle. He went into the back with both our rings for a couple minutes, then came back to tell me he had fixed my ring (even though it was purchased elsewhere), cleaned it, and also SIZED my husband's ring and polished it up, too. An honest system? What?! My friend sent me here as she's been their client for a long time. I brought in a total of four watches - three needed battery replacement and one for an estimate as it stopped working not due to battery. "Z" and Michelle told me that they'll let me know in a week regarding my watch in question for repair. They outsource it to their long-time jewelry partner for an assessment. I get it, totally understandable. I took out my wallet to pay for the battery replacements and "Z" told me I can pay for them when I come back to pick up my other watch. Wait what?! In today's world, you pay immediately for service rendered. Wow! Hats off to them! Thank you for your trust in me. I will be returning as their customer as long as I still live in the area! The folks at Mark Andrews are always so kind and professional. I've found some great pieces here (rings and earrings) and really decent prices. Recently, however, I had a (small/thin signet) ring sized from 9 to 8.5, plus a "J" engraved on the signet part of it. I was shocked when I looked at my ticket to see the $40 price tag- that's almost as much as I paid for the ring! I'm dreading picking it up... ugh. Had I known, I think I would have just purchased a thin band to keep the ring on lol. I mean, for $40, I could have bought a nice (gold) band (well, 10K at least). Aside from that sticker shock, I've always had really positive experiences here. I doubt I'll ever come back for ring sizing/engraving, but if you are looking for unique jewelry at a very competitive price, Mark Andrews will not let you down. read more

Absolutely loved my experience here! After getting engaged, my now husband presented me with a ring that has been passed down for 5 generations in his family. I am a tiny lady and the ring was about 4 sizes too large so we needed to have it cut down to fit. We did not think this would be an issue until 6 jeweler's later, who winced even looking at the piece. A few said it was too old, another said we were asking for too much of a reduction, with many criticizing the diamonds structure. The prongs holding the stone in had worn down and the thought of working so close to something so old terrified everyone; one jeweler even said he'd work on it AFTER we signed a waiver stating he wasn't responsible should the diamond break! Mark Andrew's was the last hope on our list. Don't let the facade of a plain "JEWELRY" sign in a strip mall fool you! We walked in and immediately were greeted. The ring was shown to "Z" to get a further analysis. Z walked over to us and explained that he could absolutely do the work and proceeded to explain what would be done and how long it should take. In every other store we visited, not once were we able to speak with the person who'd be doing the actual work; an associate always sneak the jewelry to the back behind a glass wall like they're hiding something. Fast forward to a few days later when I went to drop off the ring for a week. Mark was actually in the store and asked to see it. Loved his reaction, took one look at it and said, "Old school miner's cut diamond? Cool!". Here was a store that didn't see a liability but rather, a story. It might have been just a silly statement, but after going through so many other businesses who just looked at it and saw an old junky piece of jewelry, it was extremely comforting to leave it with a person who valued its' age and history. A true jeweler if I may say so! A week went by and despite the one and only day in North Carolina where we had a freeze and stores shut down (early February) they honored the timeline and finished in time. Ring came out gorgeous and the price was actually cheaper than any other place we went to. I have come back twice; once to browse for earrings and another time to fix a broken chain. Both times I have always been met with the same amazing customer service, they have offered to clean my ring at no charge while I shop, and that broken chain? Z fixed it in under a minute and said "no charge!". I cannot sing enough praise about this place, I only wish I wore more jewelry so I could have an excuse to shop here more, but rest assured, when anyone asks for a recommendation, Mark Andrew's is the place I will always swear by! read more

Brought a watch in for battery replacement. After I got the watch home, I noticed a deep scratch on the crystal. Fortunately, I had taken an up close pic of the watch the night before which shows no scratch. I will be taking this up with the shop tomorrow. If you have never been in before- it is a smaller place next to a harris teeter that just says "jeweler" on the front. We entered and were immediately greeted by a fellow named Tyler. He showed us where the mens rings were. Even though the selection was smaller here than some other places we were very impressed with the quality of the jewelry offered for the price. In fact, we looked ten other places and couldn't find a band as unique as the one we ended up purchasing from Mark Andrews. The ring was below our budget and looks amazing! I went to Mark Andrews Jewelers to try and get a battery replaced for my Casio Gshock watch. After the lady replaced the battery, the "Reset" button on the watch didn't work! Since you actually need that button to set the time and use the stopwatch, I had them try to see what was wrong. The owner himself took a shot at it, but no matter what they did, the reset button was still not working. So of course they blamed it on me and tried to convince me the button was broken to begin with (even though I use it every single day, and had just used it THAT DAY). "Take it up with Casio," I was told. Great. I was now stuck with a broken watch, even though they at least didn't charge me anything. Since this was my favorite watch, I decided to not give up on it and took it to Holland's Jeweler's a few minutes down the road in Apex. The gentleman there replaced the battery in about 5 minutes and lo and behold - the reset button worked again! I really have no idea what was going on at Mark Andrews, and I can't vouch for their jewelry repair or prices, but I wouldn't recommend getting a watch battery replaced there, that's for sure. read more

This jeweler is truly a hidden gem in an unassuming strip mall. I'd taken several watches to get new batteries before and had a great experience. So I came back with another watch and they offered to clean my ring. They noticed that the prongs on my ring were really worn down ( I've been married for 11 years). I have not been able to wear my wedding rings comfortably for years due to my knuckles and fingers getting bigger after babies:(. I have two wedding bands that have channel set infinity diamonds. I went to our original jeweler who would not cut the bands and tried to sell me new bands. It was going to be pricy. At Mark Andrews, they were able to expand/increase the ring size and did a beautiful job. Mark and his colleague took extra care when figuring out the correct size to increase the rings. I've needed to have my engagement ring repaired for some time now. I had been to the big name jewelry stores and they wanted at least $400 to repair it! I read the Yelp reviews and decided to try Mark Andrews. The staff was extremely friendly and they said they could repair it and clean it for $45 while I waited! My ring is perfect now and I certainly will be returning for my future repair needs and purchases. While I was waiting I checked out their selection of diamond stud earrings and the quality/price that they offered seems like a good value after some comparison shopping.
