I took two of my children in to OCH for well child checks in 2020. In 2022 I received a phone call…read more (not a bill) telling me I owed over $200 for an appointment I was told would cost me $30. I complained and had a horrible conversation with a very rude customer service person. They then sent me these very strange documents in the mail. It was not a bill it was typed medical like documents that were very confusing. All I know is that it said "Bal: 0". So I assumed they had erased the balance since they had called and tried to get me to pay unreasonable bill that I re-fused to pay. Fast forward to 2024 and I actually did get a bill in the mail this time. This time it was for $55. When I called to question why I would be receiving this bill 4 years after the appointment and a different amount than what I was originally quoted they were so rude to me. I mean... blow my mind rude. Accused my postal service of not delivering bills or me of disregarding them. ummmm no.... the common denominator here is clearly OCH. Thank goodness we moved away before going to any additional appointments there I can't imagine the bills we would be getting for appointments that happened FOUR years ago!!!!

(I have been in them as well, suffering from "mercy's unmerciful uncaring doc, and not being heard by the doctor I had at cox, who re-prescribed a med that almost killed me.) ...Neither of the other system's doc's wanted me to have a colonoscopy. And when it was done at OCH, they found 6 very large polyps, thankfully NOT cancerous. ...When I asked for vaccinations, for measles, mumps, etc; and my reason being that those, like me, that was first inoculated by the vaccines, in the early 60's, that as adults, we may need another round. ..She listened, and agreed with me that I did need it, and I got it. ...Doctors that ACTUALLY LISTEN TO YOU, and are friendly. ...This is the BEST hospital in the area.

I went to Cox North Emergency Room after Cox South told me a minimum of two-six hour wait. I admit,…read moreI had misgivings, but they were completely unfounded. I parked across from the Emergency room door, walked in and a triage nurse was there before I finished checking in. I was taken immediately back to a room where everyone was courteous and friendly. I was scheduled for a CT SCAN, and the wait was the normal two hours I have always encountered at Cox South. The last time I went to Cox South for a CT in the Emergency Room, I waited 8 hours for a room, let alone everything else. The care at North was top-notch. The facilities are a little dated, but it is the level of service you go for.

I brought my 19 year old son to Cox Medical North after he had metal shavings get into his eyes and…read morehe was having trouble seeing (pain and blurry vision). They checked to see if he had a scratched cornea and didn't see any problems, so they diagnosed him with conjunctivitis. I questioned them about their diagnosis since earlier in the day he had been cutting metal before he experienced pain and blurred vision. I also mentioned that this did not present like the conjunctivitis I had seen in the past (no discharge). They assured me of the diagnosis and sent him home with antibiotic drops. His eyes continued to get worse. I called urgent care the next day. They told me to go get an over-the-counter flush and try to fully flush his eyes out (He had used water the previous day but was unsuccessful). They were surprised the ER didn't flush out his eyes. We bought the flush at Walmart and flushed out his eyes. Low and behold, the pain immediately stopped! It did take a few days for the blurriness to go away, but it did go away. Here is my problem: * The ER did not flush his eyes * They misdiagnosed him even with all the info about his job * They billed $2000 for doing nothing If possible, stay away from this hospital.
