Stopped at China King on the way home from a track meet at SBU in Boliver. I was a little underwhelmed at the flavor in the bourbon chicken - the chicken was tender but the sauce was just okay. The rice was cooked perfectly though! Waiter was nice and attentive. Food came out quickly and drinks were filled frequently. No complaints, just a pretty average tasting Chinese food experience. Not too bad for $7.99.

There was several dishes with added sugar and it was to be expected for a buffet. I wont judge harshly because they were working hard and it is very hard opening a new restaurant. The restaurant was nice and clean and we got to watch the winter Olympic coverage. The pricing was very reasonable. The food wasn't bad, just not what I was hoping for.

Where do we begin to describe how good we think Jasmine Chinese Bistro is? We love the buffet and it always has great food on it, especially the BBQ chicken sticks and the Sesame chicken. The ice cream bar and the macaroon cookies are a great finish to any meal there. Sean and his wife are always so gracious and welcoming. We absolutely love eating at Jasmine. The building is very cool, inside and out. They have done a great job with the interiors with special lighting and potted trees. This is such a wonderful place to eat here in Bolivar. I moved to bolivar missouri in february, and this by far is the best chinese restraunt to eat at.. chinese is my favorite food, and i have been to lots of chinese restraunts. the only think i do not like about jasmines is their crab rangoons, only because i like mine sweet. and they do not offer egg foo yung. those are the only problems, but honestly, the taste of the food makes up for that. they also make beef and broccoli, and chicken and broccoli.. YUMM! totally worth the $7 for the buffet...ill have to say i was amazed and better than every chinese place located in springfield!! read more
