GUYS. I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT THIS PLACE ENOUGH. My girls and I planned a trip to visit one of our friends that had moved out to Missouri and she showed us this place. Coming from Southern California, I had high standards and low expectations for a restaurant that was out in the Midwest. And, boy was I wrong. When we entered the restaurant, it was busy and loud, but we were immediately seen to by a hostess that seated us quickly. They had plenty of tables and the menu looked extensive and authentic. My friend ordered for the table and we got waters while we waited. It was a little loud in there but it felt just like home. Hot and Spicy Fish (9.5/10): I dream about this. This was perfectly fried--hot and moist on the inside, spicy and crispy on the outside. Cumin Lamb (10/10): I rarely order lamb because of how easy it is to overcook it, but this was delicious! It was seasoned wonderfully and the lamb was tender. Green Beans (8/10): A classic green bean dish that you can never go wrong with. Well-made and the little spicy. Kung Pao Shrimp (8.5/10): NGL, I'm usually deterred by many items that have Kung Pao in it, but this was surprisingly delightful! The shrimp was yummy, the sauce was flavorful, and the veggies in it added a nice touch. Fried Noodles (7/10): Personally, I was not the biggest fan of it because it was sweeter than I expected. But my friend also said that it tasted a little different this time around and it was better last time she came.

Folks should understand, this place is sole truly authentic Chinese food....and not at all, Springfield Style Chinese food. The place a really good....BUT...items can be really hit and miss on if it's flavors you're remotely used to. Menu doesn't have any descriptions of the dishes themselves. I would highly suggest that you ask about (what) is in a particular dish. A great dish: sizzling beef pepper steak. This dish smells and tastes fantastic. Atmosphere is nice, tables are comfortable...and they generally prevent the dishes nice. Portions are quite ample.....and should be...as it's not particularly cheap.

What a meal! We had steamed dumplings. Fried rice And the crispy duck came out with a great sauce, fresh green onions, fresh cucumber, and a very thin pancake. Then bonus was the soup !

This place is awesome! I'm so glad they opened a new place that's so much larger and in a great location! Everything we've tried has been terrific! If you like Chinese and are maybe thinking about something different than Orange chicken go here!! It's a win!!

Second time eating here and once again, they blew us away with excellent service and outstanding food! What stands out too is the other customers!! Customers are very comfortable asking what you chose from the menu or will describe what they have. The dishes are brought "family style" so their portions are quite large!! If you're thinking about coming here, don't wait!!

Located in the former Sugarfire Smokehouse on Republic Drive, my brother treated me to dinner here after cocktails at nearby Char Steakhouse for a belated birthday present. This was his third trip here and my first. I absolutely loved it! At first, when I heard that a Chinese restaurant was being put here I thought that's just what Springfield doesn't need, another Chinese restaurant! LOL! I was quickly eating my words because this place is authentic and reminded me of the fantastic Chinese restaurants we have in St. Louis. I ordered the egg tofu with shrimp and mushroom and my brother ordered the cumin lamb with cilantro. I thought his dish tasted more Mediterranean, but it was very delicious. I absolutely loved my dish and both were big enough for four people so we had lots of leftovers. My only critique is that in my large bowl they were only four small shrimp, it was mostly tofu and mushroom. I will definitely come back to try some more specialties. I'm kicking myself that I didn't get interior photos because the lighting was truly adorable. Imagine tangled nests with eggs nestled inside as the lights, and then little birds perched alongside, so cute! This is a welcome addition to the Springfield restaurant scene!

Best Chinese restaurant in Springfield!! I've been wanting to try this place for what seems like forever so my boyfriend and I finally tried them out and we both really loved it. The restaurant smelled very delicious upon entry and the service was spot on. The ambiance felt cozy like the perfect little spot to come enjoy some tasty nourishment on a rainy day or when it's cold. The employees were very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the hot chicken ( not sure of the proper name ) And the hot fish that was similar to the hot chicken. Both dishes came with white rice which were very tasty. We will be back!! Thanks Corner 21:)

Food was greasy and I didn't finish. The atmosphere was not my vibe. Loud and obnoxious.

TV: timed in to kids programming and loud at any point and time. Kids: the daughter is quite enough. But the son talks out loud....saying what he's seeing on TV....non-stop....and I mean non-stop. And he is loud, fast talking....and oh, did I say loud? And this is how this place was on this visit. Read my other review, where the owner; which was our waiter one time in the past; never put the daughter down; as he took our order or served us. And the daughter was sick and a snotty nose that was snorting around like all get out! Service: They are never organized or attentive at all to the sit in customers. Tables always sit dirty. And if you eliminate the two tables...the owner's kids dominate...I think that only leaves (4) total tables to manage. And I sit there...and see multiple Door Dash orders get messed up and/or take forever. This last time, a Dasher left after waiting forever. The new owners may be nice or well intended. But...they have ruined this place...for all the wrong reasons.

Now I'm not a giant fan of the plain old Chinese restaurants that seem to be on every other block here in Springfield, but picky me really likes Asian fusion restaurants. Its clean, friendly, and fast service here, with a large menu. They offer anything from sushi, shrimp with lobster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and just about any other of your favorite Asian dish's. The lunch special is very well priced and includes the entree, your choice of 2 crab rangoon's, egg role, or soup as an added side to the meal. It's a really nice portion of food, it all comes un-assembled so you decide how much sauce to add, which is a great touch. Also, like how they bread the chicken, it's more of a wet batter to start and fry's up nice and puffy so to say. One cool thing about the decor is the gold cat on the counter that is perpetually waving hello, really want to know where I can get one of those, lol. Give it a try for lunch, really can't beat that special, and they can be pretty busy at times, which means to me I'm not the only one who knows good food in this town.

The man was hard to understand, could not answer my questions about tofu or their seafood and the woman on the phone loudly with "business". While going through a pretty extensive menu, noticed grubhub there a few times but zero customers at 1pm. As avoiding meat I went with the seafood dinner with lobster $21 w tax. Asked for water was given a tiny styrofoam cup? I saw no glasses. My meal came out with a scoop of rice on styrofoam plate, and they dish itself is served in a black carry out?? I had said dine in. No plates or silverware. The rice cold. The dish had 4 good pieces of shrimp but sadly no flavor. The scallops tiny and filled with grit. The lobster seemed fresh, of course smallish but he overcooked it, the only thing that looked like I might get lucky with. They appear to possibly be going out of business, so maybe why the quality was a 1. When I got up to leave she finally spoke and asked how was it and I told her the scallops filed with grit (low quality) the lobster overcooked and tough. She just smiled and went on. They have combos for $9.99 and the store next to, said that was all they would eat, wish I would have known as would have save myself ten dollars and actually had a decent lunch perhaps. Next time will eat at the cafeteria, where if something spoiled can get replaced.
