Located on a side street in a weird position on the other side of a gas station, they may be hard to find if you don't know what to look for. Nonetheless, this is my go to spot especially last minute, the late hours are clutch when I leave the "brows" last on the list of "self care" for that day. I really only go to one person and that is Selma. Once or twice I have tried 1/2 of the other ladies and I have no complaints but I like what and who I like. So I only go to her. If there others a head of me, I wait and if I get her days off mixed up, I will come back when she is there. The shop itself is not much to look @ aesthetically and doesn't provide any spa-like vibes. It is a large open space with a long bench in the center to sit with a small bench in the front window as well. Each wall (right and left) has counter-height cabinets and mirrors that run the length of each side. There is a bathroom @ the back and a little area for more intimate hair removal services. It can use some updating and @ times better up keep, but I only go for one service: Eyebrow Threading and that is what I stick with. They do offer other services like waxing, tinting, and henna. At times there is an independent hair stylist in the back. It's a conveniently located shabby-chic hood-spot that serves one simple purpose for me and serves that purpose well. Just A Note: There is a enough room right in front of the door for 1 sometime 2 vehicles to pull up on the sidewalk and park.

First of all, I was not informed that lightening was part of the regimen and demanded its removal. When I asked the ingredients of the cream, the woman explained that she did not know the contents. I complained that she needed to explain what was being done to my face and she was very defensive rather than apologetic. I think that's what sent me over the edge when she essentially gaslighted me like I should've known what was happening. I was taken aback and kind of offended because I don't really have hair there like that. I said no. Honestly, I blame myself a little here because I could've just stuck with no, but I ended up saying yes. I asked her twice if $10 would cover it, and she said yes, so I agreed. When she finished, she walked away, so I left because I had already paid. As I was about to cross the street, she came running out of the store, stopped me, and said it was $13. I asked why she told me $10 would cover it, and she just repeated that it was $13. I probably should've just kept walking, but I tried to be nice and respectful, so I kept talking to her. I told her I only had an extra dollar and gave it to her. Then she asked if I could pay her another way, like come back and pay the rest. I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I'm young. The shaping is on point, the apex in seamless and none of my nails look bulky. She took her time and did her thing with making sure they were almost perfect. My only critique is, the acrylic on just one of my nails wasn't sealed properly (picture provided). I'm definitely satisfied with my service. Also, the environment was very welcoming, I did a walk in and didn't have to wait any time (it was a Tuesday at noon). Remy even asked if the acrylic I already had on my nails glowed in the dark to ensure that she matched the acrylic colors perfectly . She did that. & the fill-in was only $45 which is less expensive than my actual nail tech (she's worth her pricing tho).
