I went in and the woman who knows how to thread is working on some one. There is a young girl who I knew didn't know how to thread well but is learning. She tells me to sit and it took forever. I told her I did t have much time I'm on my lunch break. The experienced woman came to me and finally finished. They tried to tell me I had lots of FACIAL hair and needed more work then my lip and v Chin but I would have been there all day! Lol. Seriously, they should have asked if I wanted to be a student to the woman learning. I would have politely said no, thank you. I heard they are good from where i work but I wasn't happy. I was supposed to get the seaweed treatment. After exfoliating my face, the aesthetician put a cream on my face that gave a burning sensation and made it difficult to breathe. I asked what the cream was and to take it off immediately to which the woman replied that it was a "lightening cream". First of all, I was not informed that lightening was part of the regimen and demanded its removal. When I asked the ingredients of the cream, the woman explained that she did not know the contents. I complained that she needed to explain what was being done to my face and she was very defensive rather than apologetic. I think that's what sent me over the edge when she essentially gaslighted me like I should've known what was happening. After this experience, I'm going to question every little thing future aestheticians are doing. The worst customer service experience. read more

Same great service and same great eyebrow massage at the end! Went to Jasmines on a Friday night and business was booming. The wait was minimal about five minutes before my daughter could get her brows done to perfection. She loved the way they looked and discomfort was minimal or none at best. We got Henna tattoos for the holidays and having henna done before in Manhattan I was amazed at the price. Thirty dollars for both hands on the top was literally 1/2 the price I've paid in the past and the henna process was much shorter. They use their own blend of henna and drying agents at once, so you can forego the traditional sugar water step to dry the henna. After your design is done, all you have to do is wait about 20 minutes for them to dry before you leave the store. I'd say in about three hours or so, the Henna dries and you can remove it and return to life as normal. They have Henna in black and brown and can also do both colors at once. While I did the traditional brown, I must say the black was AMAZING!! Henna tip: When you get home, lightly rub Ben-Gay on top of the henna when it is drying. The heat sets it in darker. Also, a blow dryer will help dry and set it. When you first remove the henna the design looks a bit light. Be prepared because the following morning, the color sets and it looks much darker. In short- Jasmines is a great place for eyebrows and henna. The service was very nice as the people who own the shop. They do lashes as well. I'll try that next time. read more

She was very attentive and walked me through the process especially after knowing it was my 1st time. She alternated between sites in order to let me cry and it between areas ( lol). This establishment deserves zero stars. My niece has gone here numerous times but this review is based on my first and only experience. The store had two employees, mother & daughter, the older woman was finishing up on another client. While using tissues, cotton swabs and q-tips during her threading tinting technique..it seems the preferred method of disposal is to throw them directly onto the ground while ignoring the multiple trash bins at each station. :^/ After the daughter started threading my nieces eyebrows her mother, my sister, finally joined us. Approximately five minutes later another walk in client arrived. The older woman informed this person "I'm about finished, your next." She even stated that we were ahead of her. Nope. Oh yes...the trash was still lingering on the floor. Why sweep it up? This amazing older professional apparently didn't want my cash. After the younger employee finished both of my family members, both woman attempted to shame me for not using their services. Hmmmm...really?!?!?! Does that normally work? I'm shocked that my family would even allow these vile woman to touch them. The lack of equal customer service wasn't as disturbing as the filthy environment. read more

Was referred here by a friend for eye lash extentions. Got lashes done. Not something I've done since my wedding over 3 years ago. Thought they did a decent job. Took getting used to. While I like the way she did my eyebrows (im assuming she was jasmine, older indian lady) I do not like the fact that they advertise 4.99 eyebrow threading special outside their shop yet they chargerld me 8 dollars because I am a man. I come here often, since it's 2 blocks down from where I live. This place is clean. I usually go to European Wax Center or Unikwax, but neither are anywhere near where I live. I literally make sure I wax every month, no matter what. Waxing becomes very painful when hair gets too long. So when I don't want to travel far, I come here for wax and honestly, this place is just as amazing. Granted I do love the stripless wax, but honey wax is so much more easier to remove from skin after waxing. Plus the price is much cheaper compared to European Wax Center/Unikwax. Sometimes I get my eyebrows done here, I have my own threader, whom I go to, but when I am in a rush I go here. Just call ahead of time to let them know if you want to come in for wax. I've always been one of those people who never leaves a salon happy with my eyebrows and I feel like I've tried them all. I'm picky as hell and very hard to please. I've got dark and pretty full eyebrows that can pretty easily be shaped into anything but that also means that my eyebrows are a focal point. They frame my face and are a main defining feature to my eyes. It makes or breaks my look more so than those with thinner, less bold or dark brows. I somehow always leave feeling like they've gone too thin, didn't define any arch all, etc. And I've seen Jasmin's Threading Salon on Yelp hundreds of times and always managed to scroll past it looking for something bigger, despite this place being down the road from where I live. Then I tried it and ended up kicking myself for ignoring the obvious answer that was right under my nose this whole time. It doesn't matter who I see here, I leave with a perfectly arched, perfectly sculpted brow every. Single. time. The ladies here listen to what you're looking for, and deliver. Period. It does not matter how long I've let them grow in, how badly I feel I've messed up the shape by trying to "clean them up" myself... they always manage to bring them back to its best. read more

I tried this place out because of the reviews and because its close to me though it wasn't as great. I usually go to a place in manhattan mostly because its cheap and they do amazing work regardless who's there. But I didn't have time to travel there so I stopped by here. When I got here only one woman was working, one person was in her chair, another waiting and right after me came another woman. I didn't mind the wait as it was quick BUT because she was so rushed she did a half assed job on me. Eyebrows were okay, a few areas needed more work it was also very painful, more painful than normal. I paid and left. Most likely will not be coming back here. soo i absolutely LOVE this place. A friend of mine introduced me and i keep going back. they DO NOT double dip their waxes. they are so clean and efficent. My ONLY problem is that one of the ladies there i tend to get all the time and i honestly don't like her work at all. i come out with an extra sore girly part and my eye brows always looks uneven. Yes getting a brazilian hurts no matter what but with the other ladies it doesn't hurt quite as much. I'm sooooooo picky when it comes to my eyebrows and I was highly frightened to come here the first time. The neighborhood definitely looks rough and I was scared to get out my car but I did and thank goodness because that was the best threading my eyebrows had seen since I came back to the states!!!! I used to come here religiously for years, I stopped going because my eyebrows was messed up the last time I came. I left with my eyebrows looking like I was giving the people's eyebrow all the time. When I would stop by, I would usually get right in the chair and other times I would have to wait for 10/15 minutes. Regardless, I love jasmin- she's my go to person to do them. Maybe she was having a bad day? Whatever I have fair hair in the middle so maybe she made a mistake- so be it. I'm not going to say she does a horrible job because she doesn't! Went here twice to get a Brazilian. Both times with Laxmi. Very nice woman. My first experience was not too horrible. My only complaint would have been that she was a little rough and that the room isn't very clean. I usually go to European wax center for waxing but wanted to try something a little more affordable. The second time I went was horrific. I kept telling her that the wax was too hot and she just said ok and continued what she was doing. Then I noticed that she was reapplying wax multiple times in the same areas which can be very painful as that area is already irritated. When I left I could barely walk right. Had to sit in cold water in the bathtub when I got home to soothe the pain. The pain I felt all evening was excruciating. Like having the wind knocked out of me. The next day I woke up to the whole area scabbed over. I went back to the woman and told her how she had burned me and that I wanted my money back for the service.. even offered to show her if she needed proof. She said no that she didn't burn me that it was probably just my hormones and that she had never burned anyone before. She refused to give me my money back and said she couldn't because the owner was out of the country till October and could not be reached. But offered me two free eyebrow threading sessions. As if I would let her touch my skin ever again lol. To top it all off she left quite a bit of hair behind. So I walked away with a half ass Brazilian and horrible burns. read more

At first I would've given this place 5 stars because when i started going here 8 years ago ( jasmine ) the owner who used to be their all the time is never their. She does an amazing job on my eyebrows don't get me wrong which is why i always & only go to her. But after having to worry to see if she's going to be their and be stressed before an event or something it's not worth it. I drove a hour to go get my eyebrows done because i called and asked if she was to be there and her employees said yes. I went and she literally left. She starts at 2 and left by 3 seriously not worth it. I hate having to rely on someone who is barely their. She only goes on Thursdays and fridays which she's barely their anyways and on top of that I've noticed she only goes to work for one customer. You can't even make an appointment with her because it's honestly up too her if she wants to go too work. Again she only goes to work for one customer and it's ashame because she's only worried about the money and that customer drives her home SMFH. she deserves one star. And that's it. IF YOU'RE IN NEED OF A WAX DO NOT COME HERE! I've been here numerous times to get my eyebrows threading and have had relatively no problem. When they raised the price to 6 dollars, I stopped going, because I didn't feel I was exactly getting my moneys worth. Anyway, I figured I'd come back for a wax, because going to an expensive place like Dashing Diva was a bit out of my budget this time around. Worst decision I've ever made. I've had brazilians before, so I know what should be waxed and what shouldn't. She basically left hair everywhere. It was the worst brazilian I've ever gotten. So she allegedly finished, and when I looked there was still hair! I told her she forgot and that con artist wanted ten extra dollars!!! Are you kidding me? Have you never done a brazilian? I read good reviews on Yelp about Jasmin's so I decided to take a chance. The old threading shop I used to go to in the city closed down. There were 2 women working (I think they are of Indian decent). The inside is clean and well kept. The lady who did my 'brows' took her time, and half way through she let me look in the mirror to see if I approved. In the end, my brows turned out fab. She even gave me an arch that I didn't have before and I feel so sexy, hehe. Ladies...this place gets 2 thumbs up. I will be back because this is my new spot! read more
